Great Bank Story This is the truth with NO exaggeration--- I finally got a friend into the IQD. He is a farmer with some assets. Keeps to himself. He has made 3 trips down to the local branch of a big 4 bank in the last week. To talk to them about opening an account. Not once did he mention the IQD. His cover story was along the lines of "sold some properties, good investments, going to get a great return real soon. " on the forth trip in (today) the high up wealth manager was in this branch.
She saw him and pushed her coworkers out of the way as she made a beeline to him. She told him that she got a call about him coming in today and she wanted to be here for him. She started talking to him in the 5 & 10 million range like it was no big deal and an every day conversation. Started talking about a 10-14% return if he lets her work his $$$. So he opens his account with a couple hundred bucks. She starts to show that she is all excited and a little giddy and he's thinking (only showed her a couple hundred dollars).
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD. He stands up as they shake hands. She tells him "I can waive all fees for 90 days but you don't have to worry about that, as you will have your dinars cashed in way before then". I'm not kidding. She also said for him to send in his other dinarian friends. WOOOOOOOOOW I'm going to try to find her tomorrow. Will give an update. I am so excited.
Folks you don't have to believe me but this is true word for word. I am so excited

Met again this afternoon with my CHASE branch manager and assistant regarding the remodeling of two branches in Northern CA. So I asked her if she could tell me how many branches in this large geographic capitol city area would be getting a CPC (Chase private client) banker and private office remodel.
She left the cubicle we were in and went to her own cubicle to look on her computer.
She then came back and sent the computer in house link she was looking at to the assistant manager's screen and counted 40 branches which are slated to get this service as most of their current CPC's have to go to San Francisco.
She also told me that CHASE started this process in S. CA first in Beverly Hills, and LA and is now moving North.

2-2-13 Wxman: Last year I posted a bank story from the main branch of Chase in N. CA, where the private banker rep handed me a leatherette portfolio for private banking after I completed a wire transfer to purchase Dinar.
When I asked him why he would hand this to a customer who only had $200.00 in their bank, his supervisor told me, "We value and appreciate your investment." That was a huge vote of confidence for me.
Today ( Friday 2/1/13) I was checking on my Safety deposit box at the main branch in another N. Ca town. After the completion, the young male attendant asked if there was anything else he could help me with.
I reminded him that I was in his branch a year earlier to have a sit down discussion with his branch manager regarding our speculation.

Hello again fellow Dinarians...I wanted to post an update on the info received from my friend at the bank. But first, I cannot believe how many people have been on this thread! For those of you that left well wishes for my grandpa and the situation there...My sincere Thanks!
The bank involved here has begun, and actually has been for about 6 weeks, putting together an "organized plan" as far as the dinar is concerned.
To the public, their position has not changed...and will not until the revaluation is made public (basically goes international) as far as trading is concerned.
They WILL be involved in the currency exchange, and are dealing with some new stipulations that may go into effect...and I truly hope they dont!
One of these possible "rules" is a limit on the amount an individual will be able to exchange during a certain period of time.
So, if they do indeed place that stipulation on the exchange, those who hold several million could be forced to wait a period before they are able to exchange all that they hold.

ok,ok, what the heck....... Obviously, by my screen name I am a mortgage banker.....That's all I will say, well unless you want to talk about mortgages then, as my husband says..she will talk all night long.
That's a stretch, but having prefaced all that with my opening remarks, here you go.
I am being heavily recruited BACK to Wells Fargo Bank (what, did I say that?)
So, with all the chatter about big projects Wells has going on right now, and they do. I have copy and pasted the body of an email that I received from the "global" recruiter for Wells Fargo Bank that I am dealing with.

SocalDinar Shares His Story:
I work for a large property management company.
I got a call to look at a project for Wells Fargo (one of their tenants)
Late Friday.
Seriously I was told that this was a rush job and has to be done this week!
They are taking over another suite and must move in by end of the week.
I put a quote together and thought that if this is such a rush I would pad it a bit
I tripled my price and sent it off. I got approval within 10 minutes!
I usually have to negotiate a bit on this type of work but not this time.
RV or no RV this will be a good week for me ! Thanks WF

I went into my local Chase bank this past Friday to take care of some things related to my accounts. I sat down with my personal banker whom I've known for about 2 years now.
He knows that I am invested, and he actually decided to invest himself after he and I had talked about the dinar on several occasions, and after doing some research on his own.
After my business was completed, I made a remark to him that I wish this thing would pop, so I could pay off some bills and purchase a new home... he stated that he really hopes for the same, but that he hasn't heard anything.
Well, as I said..that was Friday. This morning, I woke up to find an email from his personal email account (not his bank email). He simply stated that during a meeting that the branch had on Saturday after closing, that they received some information from the branch manager concerning the IQD

[justwaiting] Evening friends. I rarely make comments but listen to all. Been in this for awhile and knw how hard it is to hear and then try to decipher all the news but I did have something to share. I rec'd an email from a wealth mgr at my local bank It is not a big four bank and she asked me to check in. I have been unable to reach her. Phone busy but spoke with another vp at same bank and was told to hang tight. Said that dinar at $0.91 and they expected to see it at $1.2 by Tuesday. Takes 3-4 business days to become tradeable
[okrocks] justwaiting if that is true goes along with all we have been hearing and remember its the sucker rate
[greek1212] justwaiting I read somewhere that it's been printed in Iraqi newspaper at .91 cents
[TexasMom] Ok rocks sure does
[spiritfilled] looks like that post in the Iraq paper may have been real after all...I think it was 1 usd =.90 dinar
[justwaiting] My direct person sent me an email as well wanting an person mtg to discuss "my plans" for currency exchange and hoped I would still do business directly with them

Post By Tlm724 BondLadys Corner:
I made a phone call to the Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland this morning and wanted to share the conversation with you. I called and asked to speak with Mr. Jaime Caruana who is the General Manager of the BIS and was transferred to his office.
His assistant answered the phone and told me he was in meetings all day and asked if she could help me. I told her "I was an ordinary citizen of the USA and that I had a question about Iraq'a CBI. That I had worked hard all my life and invested my savings into the emerging ecomony of Iraq.
Due to the recent developements with the CBI and Dr. Shabibi I was concerned about my investment and could she speak to me about the situation".
Up to this point in the conversation things were cheerful and cordial but as soon as I asked the question I could tell her guard went up immediately.
