Every day for a week I thought about the silver haired lady and her words of wisdom.

Every day I’d pictured the boat called Freedom, and every day I’d imagined how gloriously happy I’d be if I could see this boat in reality.

I needed to see this boat.

How could I live a life of mediocrity and boredom when I knew a better life existed? …A better life was actually possible …and I’d really believed it was, I was desperate to believe it was possible …but to be honest, I was now starting to have a few niggling doubts…

I was coughing, spluttering. Salty seawater filled my mouth. I looked up and everywhere there were people swimming.

There must have been thousands of people …a multitude of arms and legs kicking, all moving in one huge anti clockwise circle, the size of an athletic track. In the center was a small desert island with a few palm trees and a person who was throwing food to the swimmers.

What was going on? How had I got here?

I was quickly halted from my thoughts as a jolt of pain shot up my leg. Some guy aged about 50 had blindly kicked me as he swam by. I tried to call out but he didn’t seem to hear me.

I started to panic a little and tried to grab other people’s attention but everyone just kept on swimming, and I was blocking the way. Other people hit me and kicked me as they struggled to get around so I had to either swim with them or drown (…or so I thought at the time…)

Treasure Every Moment in Life By Iggy KTFA

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with 86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Where / How Do You Look? What Do You See? What Do you Think? How Do You Think? What Do You Know? How Do You Know?

{Italic portion from User Nelg Dinar Vets - Quotes  from Recaps Team}

Short story:  There was a man named Hull who took advantage of a controversy over whether there had been giants in America.  So, in his effort to make some money, he had a "giant" meticulously carved in stone even to the point of small holds (holes?) in the surface to represent pours (pores?) in the skin.

It became so popular that people traveled all over the world to view the "giant."  Hull made a lot of money.

P.T. Barnum tried to buy the exhibit so he too could make some money.  His bid failed and the "giant" was sold to a syndicate from Syracuse, NY led by a banker, David Hannum for $30,000, and Hull held on to 2/3s of the profits.

P.T. Barnum was not to be outdone so he had built (carved) his own "giant." He then proclaimed that Hunnum had sold the real, authentic "giant" to Barnum and that the "giant" that Hunnum was displaying was a fake.

The Recaps Team is saddened by this tragedy and sincere heart felt prayers are sent for "all"  that are grieving and affected by this recent tragedy in Boston and Texas.

Many people can take on the suffering of others  without being involved - without seeing it - and without being closely  related   to those  suffering and affected  - They are very special people -

Have you ever been overwhelmed with grief and it was because of something that happened to someone else?

Understanding the 10 Most Destructive Human Behaviors

Compared with most animals, we humans engage in a host of behaviors that are destructive to our own kind and to ourselves. We lie, cheat and steal, carve ornamentation into our own bodies, stress out and kill ourselves, and of course kill others.

Science has provided much insight into why an intelligent species seems so nasty, spiteful, self-destructive and hurtful.

The Price of Children - What Are They Worth?

Here is something absolutely positive for a change. I have repeatedly seen the breakdown of the cost of raising a child, but this is the first time I have seen the rewards listed this way. It's nice.

The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family. Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition.

But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down.

Have you heard your call? Maybe this is it ~ are you going to take the call? What are you waiting for? You know it is time ~ you know you will never feel right until you do ~  take the call!!

You will be more alive than you have ever been!  Come on - soar with the eagles - be who you are - not what someone thinks you are or wants  you to be -- be who you really are !!

Are you still imprisoned by the chicken coop?  Has someone / Is someone or something holding you down and back from soaring?  Have you heard your call?  Are you listening??

Maybe if you’re not “fitting in”  maybe  it’s because you’re meant to “stand out”

Instead of focusing on the knots and "nots"  in your life -  starve those for a while and  practice giving energy to the great "I am's" and the wonderful forgotten "have's" in your life --

Remove the have nots, the can nots and the do nots

Erase the will nots, may nots,  might nots  and all of the am nots

If you have already seen or heard of this  may it be a “gentle” reminder to give you encouragement for today  - The music is beautiful and very calming -  enjoy

Views of the world from four different minds - four different sets of eyes  - four different hearts  - How do YOU see the world?

“A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart” -  John Wolfgang Von Goethe

The Four Views

Once a wise master had four students who exceeded all others in ability. One day the five gathered, and the master spoke to the first student, “Tell me what you see when you look into the world.”

“I see savagery. The planet is raped. The world hides from the truth. Contaminating material is released everywhere. There is particulate matter in the heavens and acid rain.

The rain forests are being destroyed, and so is the ozone. There is such ignorance and selfishness. The world needs so much correction.”

Free Yourself From Toxic People

(Choosing the Company You Keep) By Guy Finley

Those with whom we assemble, we soon resemble!

This simple old saying hides a deep Truth that can enlighten and empower every aspect of our lives:

Who we are — our very essence — is continually being transformed by the company we keep.

Stated differently, when we keep the company of what is light and bright, our lives get lighter and brighter. And when we keep the company of what is dark and discouraging, our lives can’t help but be dragged downward.
