Veterans Day 2011 - Freedom Isn't Free
For this Veterans Day, I want to share with everyone this awesome video I found in the public domain. It does a fantastic job of illustrating the debt of gratitude that we owe to those who have worn our Country's uniform in the past, and to those who wear it today.

I wish I could claim credit for this video, but I did not make it. However, it is my pleasure to post it here, in tribute to those who are willing to give our Country the last full measure of their devotion...Thank you for watching!

A Tribute. Veterans Day
This is a tribute to all veterans currently serving, who have served, and served and did not return.

I made this back in grade 6, but I still look back at it and humble myself. God bless you all :)

The video posts were all such a wonderful tribute, but such a sad reminder, that our freedom is not free. My son is a 14 year veteran, Air Force, and I'm always so proud of the strong man he became as a result of his service to our country. God bless all our serviceman and women and their families on this special day.

Thank you for sharing the videos. Let us remember that if it weren't for those that have served in the military we probably would not be reading these posts.

This past summer we were finally able to receive the remains of my brother who died in Vietnam. We were accompanied to and from the airport and through the burial service by the Patriot Guard. What a wonderful group of veterans who honored and acknowledged the return of a fallen brother after 40 years after no information of his whereabouts. All of the vets are to be honored and respected for their service to us, the citizens of the United States. Veterans Day has a new meaning for me to be sure. God Bless the Veterans.

I was a Warrant Officer in Viet Nam from Oct.'70 to Oct.71, and lost five wonderful friends and comrades during that time. I was priveleged to go see the Wall in 1983, and it moved me more than anything I have ever encountered. I wept and sobbed like a baby for hours. It was then that I believe the dam broke and all my feelings, grief, anger, and frustration over what had taken place finally was dealt with.

Thank you for this incredible tribute. It says it all. Never let them be forgotten!

I grew up a Navy brat. My dad served 30 years, retired 1976 Master Chief. He was a nuk sub vet. I am so grateful he came home safely. He received many presidential sitations on the docks in the middle of the night (no wives). I am proud he is my dad.

My son served two tours in Iraq, and was in the first unit when we went to war. He was a medic attached to infantry. He turned 19 and 21 over there...and saw so many life changing moments. I am so proud of him for the lives he saved and the losses he encountered.

My heart goes out to all the families who have been separated from their loved ones, lost their loved ones, and been able to embrace their loved ones coming home. I am sincerely grateful to all the men and women who protect us.

I cried through all the videos! I am a Navy Veteran from the Viet Naum War and my baby is a combat Medic in a point unit in Afghanistan right now(in fact she is out on a mission at this time! I have her son with me and we are being Army strong for her! I love all the respect and caring you all show in all aspects of life as you share it with us! Thank you for honoring the sacrifice of so many!

I am a Vietnam vet, SGT E-5, 1968/69...US Army Fifth Special-Forces Group (ABN). I can't begin to thank you enough for the special and time-consuming work that went into putting together this tribute to all Veterans who have served, in the past and currently, our USA. Our general public is often allowed, by most of our media, to see only the "killer" side of us as we do (did) our job. Thanks for the pictures of another side of us seldom seen.
