Post RV Action Items Short-List
  - by Anonymous

The other day a fellow Dinarian and I were talking about our "short-list" of things we need to do post RV.  I thought I would write a few of the more important ideas down and share them here with you.

First Items on my List of Things Post RV T0-Do

First, change my contact info that I have used on various Dinar Boards and Forums.  This is details like my phone number, home address and even my credit card info if I had used a credit card to either: donate, buy, or subscribe a product or service with either a Dinar Dealer/Broker or from a Board or Forum.

So, my friend tells me that this is easier said than done...

I beg to differ!  I told him that you can "move" to a private mail service box (i.e. UPS Store, Pak-N-Mail, etc.) and these services usually charge a small monthly fee to receive all your mail, including your FedEx and UPS overnight packages.  This will help to better protect your identity, and you can easily have your Residence Mail forwarded to this private mail box.

One caution:  The USPS will NOT forward your mail FROM these private mail services with their mail forwarding service.  So, later when you want to move that mail, say to another State, you will have to manually contact all the companies and people you want to have your new address - which too can be an advantage!

Read More Link on Right
Hopefully sooner than later, I do have intentions to change my Primary Residency to another State that does not charge Income Tax and has a much lower cost of living rating.  Currently there are seven states that do not charge Income Tax - I figure paying US Federal Tax is enough for me!

Changing your credit card info is really as easy as calling the bank or institution that issued you that card and tell them you lost your card.  They will inactivate the current card, and issue to you a new card.  Do this BEFORE you change your mailing address however, as many banks/institutions are leery about issuing new credit cards to a new mailing address - due to the high levels of identity theft.  I'm sure the IQD Team will address this further on calls post RV.  Then, after you get your new credit card, then you can call the bank/institution and have your mailing address changed.

Finally changing my phone number, I had talked about that in a previous post, but in short there are answering services that can give you one of their phone numbers that they own, they will pre-screen your calls for you and only allow through the callers you want.

Additionally, there are automated phone services like Google Voice that does this for you as well, you will get a call from Google Voice, it will prompt the caller to state the reason for their call, then the service will call you and play their message, and ask you if you want to take their call.

Next Thing on my List of Things Post RV T0-Do

Another thing I plan to do immediately post RV is to take a week or two to just "absorb" the thought of it all and of being rich!  Then, I'm going to take just one, or maybe two 25K IQD notes with me to my bank and deposit them!

And before you scream your head off at me "but I heard on something that I read that we only have a limited time..."

Okay, lets get this strait - Dr. Shabbi is on record several times saying that the process will take two years, and perhaps up to 10 years after the RV!!!  So, please forget about the "rumtel" that is out there which says we only have a few days or weeks.

The 100% fact will be known post RV, so tune in to the IQD's call after the RV or the website to get more definitive - but at this point I am 99.9% certain we are looking at a minimum of two years we can wait.

So, anyways, back to doing my little deposit of a 25K note - I will use this "test" to see what happens!  I'm going to see what the exchange rate/process will be!  Later on after the "dust has settled" and we know the IRS rules, and the best offers from the banks and dealers, that will be a much better time for me to belly-up-to-the-bar and get served!

But, the first small cash-in will help me to chase away some financial alligators that are lurking around my door and nipping at my heels!

This little amount of money will also give me enough cash to take a nice trip with my spouse and so we can be "away from it all" and start the process of really planning out our future.  We have not been on a proper vacation for almost 10 years now, so it is about time!

An "almost-new" Car is in my future too!  I will probably just fix up my current vehicle as it is a nice luxury car.  I don't want to make a large purchase of a new vehicle or an "almost new" vehicle until after I make my move to another State - as the taxes are high here where I currently live and also I want to show an establishment of a new residence in a new state - this is another good way to prove I moved!

Quick Tip on buying Cars:  We as a people are brainwashed by the Car Manufacturers that we MUST buy a "new" car every couple of years.  I say HOGWASH!!!

Most of the time buying a "new" vehicle is not a great idea for you financially speaking!  You lose such a large percentage of the "new" car's value when we just drive it off the Car Dealer's Lot!!!

Example:  Buying a Mercedes 500SL is $100,000.00 "New" - however, the same Mercedes 500SL with low miles and 2 or 3 years "old" (i.e. a Lease Return) will sell for well under $50,000.00!!!  Since you never had a 500SL, it is new to you and you now keep an extra $50,000.00 for whatever you want to buy, such as another car/truck or a "baller" Rolex!!!  Or, you can also donate to charity!

Besides, now that you are "rich" (post RV) YOU HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE!!!  You can drive an old 'beater' if you want, if you like it, why not???  You're rich!  You don't have to impress your neighbor who now hates you because they didn't listen to you and buy Dinar!

In Conclusion...
Take a few minutes and a blank piece of paper and start jotting down ideas of what you will want to do now (pre RV) and keep that paper in your wallet or purse, so when a new idea hits you, you can quickly pull it out and write it down.

Having these ideas now will help you to keep your mind more clear post RV.  If you have questions, write those down also for one of the future IQD Team calls after the RV, and the team will do their best to give you their opinions.

Thanks again Mr Anonymous..can't thank you enough.

In trying to prepare for the RV and Post RV, I called the World Bank in Washington DC yesterday due to me having a difficult time finding someone to cash in the dinar that verifies authenticity onsite. The directed me to a local bank outside of the world bank facility and the man told me that they do not deal with dinar any longer and it is revaluing but we would be lucky to sell our old dinar and we will not make any more money than what we paid for it. He was very adimant that dropping the zeros is NOTgoing to help anyone that invested in dinar and it was all a scam. I am still looking for a place to cash in and am becoming very confused since the World Bank directed me to this information????

I went to WF with the same questions. They said they were not THEN dealing in the dinar, but that they would be. Go to WF, B of A, or some other to get the right answer. I'm sure any banker would love to suck you in and just give you what you put into it before the RV. Be careful!

AGAIN, ACCORDING TO THIS POST> HOW CAN WE CASH IN WHEN THIS CBI LAW IS IN EFFECT?
"People, you need to familiarize yourself with the Central banking laws of Iraqi , especially CBI law Article 32 Issuing of the currency and Article 36 Redemption of the currency. Until someone can say those laws are invalid then your all out of luck."

Andy
02/16/2012 10:54am

Yes... I would like to know why that happened to... Do you think the banks will only honer dinars in Iraq at face value. ?
Until they can get the new dinars out...
and if the banks arent dealing, they wont
send them over ther to exchange them for new bills that are on the market.
Do you think it could play out this way?
Cause I can go there...

According to what I know, which is what the CBI itself has stated, is that they are reducing the money supply in order to give value to the "new currency" which is lower denoms. The CBI has stated it will be a 1 to 1 exchange or on par with the USD. What you are being told the the person there is wrong, according to what the CBI has stated. What that person you had talked to is suggesting a lop, which is to use the 25000 IQD note and just pretend that the 000's don't exist. From all that I have learned this simply will not happen. Iraq will be the world leader in wealth from oil, natural gas and other commodities it holds and their currency will reflect that wealth. Christine Le Gauarde of IMF, Hillary Clinton of US State Dept, Joe Biden VP of USA and others have stated that Iraq has the strongest currency, which in my opinion means better than the KWD which is at around $3.50 or so the the USD. I stated above the the CBI says that it will be a 1 to 1 exchange. It may well come into that and grow to the 3+ range or it may come in at anything between .86 to 12.00, nobody knows. As for myself, I wait and see and learn and when it does POP! EVERYBODY (who is actively involved with this) WILL KNOW THAT IT HAPPENED and it will be without a doubt. There will be no guessing. Then we will find out what the rules and tax issues are and be able to plan accordingly.

I understnd all of that plus a lot of other related items. Yes, it all makes pefect sense. Yet this feels, sounds, and looks like a scam.
But, I find it hard to be a scam because who or what would benfit? Nobody that I can find. I only have one question: If all this stuff is real (and yes I already have a bunch---just watching now) then how come the price to purchase a Dinar has hardly moved up at all? You would think that if the odds were good this RV will happen that the price would either be going way up or that finding anyone that would be selling them would dry up as everyone would be holding tight. What do you think?.

Remember if you really believe this and cannont handle purchacasing something and waiting for it to grow in value then you should sell it and get out other wise just put it away and forget about it and someday it will be valuable

I think the people who come on to the blog who say this is a scam, are probably wanting people to cash these dinars in, so they will have them when they revalue, in other words they are trying to make money off of us (scam).
I have a question: How does someone get to ask questions on the Dinar Recaps blog? Do only certain people get on there? or is there a way to get on when the main guys on here are answering questions. And I wonder how those people get on telling us it's a scam?

There is always a 1% transaction fee for any currency exchange. Above that, it will depend on what the IRS decides to charge in taxes.

---> Blessedmom, I too am having trouble gettingany bank to even discuss future help after rv. They seem to push me out of the banks.
I for one buy from a dealer who will buy back after rv is posted. They even recently set up 10 buy back centers across US but wont release street addresses. (This tells me something truly must be getting ready to happen). Would post my dealers addie but I dont know if that is allowed here or legal.
My question to your post is,...you mentioned "our old dinar" - are you referring to the dinars that do not have the counterfit proof features? If you are - the bank is correct - the old slash original iqd will become totally worthless except for souvenier values.

For those who are concerned that somehow when you cash in, the bank might somehow except your dinar and later say it was phony, here is something you can do. Scan and print your dinar, take each of your bills and photo copy the side of the note that has the serial numbers on it. On my computer, I also have files of these scanned copies. When you take your dinar in for cashin, get the bank to sign and date the photocopy of your dinar, you now have a copy of the exact notes you deposited along with the bankers signature to record these are your notes. Now in the event that somehow the bank wants to reneg on your cashin deal, you demand that they return the original notes you deposited. Some will say, this may be very time consuming, and I agree, but keep in mind the last time you applied for a loan at the bank for $10,000.00 or even less, and the mountain of paperwork you went through (for the banks sake), to get that loan. Now think of the potential value of your 10K or 25K IQD note, in perspective it is well worth the time to ensure you have verification of the actual dinar you are depositing. If the shoe were on the other foot, think of the paperwork the bank would have you go through to complete a transaction worth hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars, It's your dinar, respect it, and demand that your bank respects your transaction.

If any of your Dinar is found to be conterfiet I don't think you are ever going to see it again. If I am not mistaken, all phoney money presented to a bank is confiscated and forwarded to the feds. The "good" news is you will be able to discuss this with the feds you are going to get to visit with.

The bank cannot accept your Dinar and then later claim it to be fake. The contract is completed after the transaction, and they have the sophistication to be expected to know if its fake or not before they trade it.

What do you think? If I get another phone for my personal friends.I have customers, a few hundred of them all over the world have that number ( cell) for 15 years. If I want to still do business, should I keep it on an old phone with no GPS and turning it off and only pick messages and return calls?

you bet, I found out the easy way. My phone with old number was instant dead because of an accident at work. I was on a prepaid program. . Got a new number and phone, but paid $10.00 for 100 minutes of use on the old phone. Since the phone is dead the calls go right to voice mail
which does not count on the minutes!!!! I call my old number press # and check my voice mail. The bad guys have no glue that I changed my number!!
Now you are lucky your phone is still alive so you can go thur the old phone and make sure the ones you want the new number gets it.
Also if your in business what a great way to let your customer's know your new number than to call them then put it in your new memory.
If your on contract add a new phone number and lower the old phone to the lowest price offered from your phone company.
,It is very easy to live with a new phone number, Our parents did it every time we moved.

I am in the same situation as you, and have spent some time considering my options. My answer about how to keep a personal cell phone for friends and customers comes from a mixture of postings I've read by people with very good ideas, and here is what I plan to do.
1. I understand that Trac Phones at WalMart apparently now have some pretty nice smart-like phones for a reasonable monthly (or minutes purchased) fee which can rival any (low range at least!) offered by the big companies -- they just might not have all the variety we are used to choosing from! They DO have internet and texting, etc., so no limits there.
2. You may use the same phone month after month, simply by paying the monthly or minutes usage fees.
3. They MAY be able to program a replacement phone with your phone number, should you ever find that you have to replace your phone due to loss or damage.
4. If possible, be sure to keep a master list of contacts. No matter what phone or company you use, these are your connections, and if you are like me, you would be lost without the Contacts feature in your cell phone! Try connecting your phone to your computer and see if it might syncronize your contacts list with one there. It's worth a try!
4. DO NOT turn on the GPS feature on your phone. This is what makes you "traceable".
5. You may screen your own calls thru voice mail, or you can take it to the next level with an answering service. I also understand that Google has a type of answering service as well-- any one of these options makes your friends or clients have to leave a message, then you call them back. Not the most personable, I know, but there's really no other way. Also, when you notify them of changes to your number, DO NOT mention WHY you decided to switch numbers or go to an answering service; just say that you did it "and you may now reach me by leaving me a message at...". This will keep things simple. They DO NOT need to know about your financal situation.
5. One more thing to be aware of: recently the govenment has made it permissible for our cell phone numbers to be accessed by telemarketers. It would seem to me that they would have to get the lists of numbers from the big name companies. I am HOPING that with a Trac Phone there will be some small chance at anonymity (though I suppose those numbers could in theory also be provided to the marketers, with the sheer volume of numbers that keep changing, that just doesn't seem plausible).
6. DO NOT post ANY photos taken with a digital or phone camera without turning off the feature that tells where the picture was taken! Have a techie-type friend (usually an older high school or college-aged computer fanatic) help you with this. If you were to send a photo of yourself at home to a friend and the friend posted it, anyone may click on the photo and get (what amounts to) the GPS coordinates for where you were. While this would be great for law enforcement, it is NOT so great for those who are wishing to avoid being targeted by predator-types.
7. Above all, keep your mind on safety first for you and your family. You are your own best advocate for safety-- no one else will do it for you, unless you pay them to, and even then, you'd still have to be on top of it!

I hope these thoughts help a little bit. In my family, with a techie son who wants all the new gadgets, bells and whistles, a Trac Phon is gonna be a hard sell! We certainly have a lot of work ahead of us-- perhaps this will make it a BIT easier...

At the risk of sounding completely uneducated, but truth be told I really am...could anyone let me know if there is any risk on keeping xbox and or wii type usernames and/or devices. I think that we will need to purchase new units, really clear out unknown 'friends' that my kids have and change all the current 'usernames' we already have. I just really don't know how much of a risk, if any, the "live" gaming community plays in on this. We have already had a few talks with our kids preparing them for this inevitable change, but want to make sure what security risk this may pose as well. (I do know that there is an IP address attached to the X-box live stuff...) If anyone knows how to help or even where I could start to investigate this on my own please let me know! Thanks!

lookinrich, deep breath, First off a "non-interest bearing acct: is a checking acct!!!!! period
Here is the three questions to ask when you open it.
1) is this bank with "FDIC" ?
2) is this bank comply with the " Dodd Frank act for FDIC " ?
3) this checking acct I am opening "do I get any interest, on it"
As for picking the bank it looks like the packages will be either Wells Fargo, Chase or Bank of America If you live in a big city pick one that is easy go to, and open the acct. at the "downtown" or main Branch. If you find that you "made a mistake" just tell the banker "will you match it?"
When you open your acct. " Ask does this branch have a Foreign Exchange department?" If asked "why do you ask?'" It all depends on who is asking. If it is a pee-on 'I would say planning a trip to Europe" if it is a branch manger I would tell her about your investment. here is my banking store.
I opened my acct with a pee-on. after it was over I asked to meet the branch manager. I made it a point to compliment her on such a great ship she was running, and how I know I made a new home here" get her business card!!!!!! I ask if she had a minute and can I ask you a question in private. she moved to her office. I then told her " I have opened this acct because I have invested in the Dinar.
her come back was "yes i heard about it and at this time we are not dealing with it.... NOW!!! but that could change on a moment notice. ( I read between the lines, I am specking to a " tow the company line person) I ask well if the Dinar does revalue may I call you? with a big smile she said "you bet!!! call me first!!!! I thank her for her time and left. That took 2 minutes of her value time. I have her card and ready to move.

I'm a newbie too. My question kind of relates to this post. In planning for post-RV I'm trying to make a simple pre-RV plan. I read somewhere (can't find the post now) that once this thing goes global the IRS and others will be privvy to it and might change up some things - such as perhaps put a tax on personal accounts so its better to open your NIB account under a business...??? So that got me thinking. I live in a small town with a couple WF branches. They are not listed as Foreign Currency Exchange branches. I've been planning on going into the big city to open a WF NIB account that is completely disassociated with my other small biz or personal accounts. Advice: would it be advisable to open a NIB account here just to have it set up and then, post RV, refer to this account via WF bank system in the big city/branch that does foreign currency exchange? I was also thinking of using a new po box for the address for this account, again disassociated with my other WF accounts. (I would really like my dinar exchange to be under the radar - no big fanfare - tell friends I got an small inheritance or something...). Thanks for any advice. These blogs are definitely a Godsend!

I dont have a definate direct answer. Start with google search and try differant search titles till you find what you want, (such as: canadian resident Dinar cash in)
Understandably, when the rv takes place - it will become a new market place for many new buisnesses, so f Canada doesnt have a Wells Fargo, Bank of america, Chase, or fifth&one third branch in your country, at that time I'm sure your local bank or currency EXCHANGE office will be willing to help you at that time.
If those ideals dont work, may I suggest start preplanning a trip into the usa and be ready for an "Emergency Trip" on a moments notice.
Hopefully your holding a large amonut of the NEW IQD's and have Reciept of purchase & pre-cleared through your IQD dealler against terrorist, $ laundering and conterfeiting threats (required in the USA, the trip would be quite worth the lost pay from work for the "Emergency Trip"
Good Luck

I read most of what was put on this site. I don't recall anyone saying anything about a wealth manager assisting them with their large windfall. Also to check with an attorney that deals with these situations or at least an accountant/CPA.
I also plan on having a certain amount of "cash" in a safety deposit box slowly increasing the amount until it reaches a level I am satisfied with.
Keep a good thought.

I have been involved for a short time with the Dinar World about 2 1/2 mo. I don't know whether I am a true believer, too much conflecting messages. Not sure what to think or not think not sure it will ever happen. It seems reasonable that it would. Just discourged, don't know how you all have been able to stick with it for such along time.

WE ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING TO FUND A NEW INDOOR WATER PARK IN BAGHDAD AFTER THE RV. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO TO MAKE CONTACT WITH IN IRAQ? WE HAVE TRIED CBI AND THE IRAQ EMBASSY BUT NO ONE IS TAKING US SERIOUS BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY REPLIES. WE ARE MEMBERS OF IAAPA AND WWA. VIETNAM NOW HAS SUCH FACILITIES AND I AM A VIETNAM VETERAN 1965-66. THANK YOU.

someone left a very detailed list of what we should do for our security measures in reference to computers, car tags, addresses, etc. It was highlighted in blue today. I went to find it on my home computer later so I could print it out. I wanted to go over it with my wife and make sure we had it all covered. Can anyone tell me the link or where to get it ??? thanks, Matt

Post RV, Now that's a term we are hoping to see used soon. I've only been in this for 5 mo's and I read all the intel and speculate on my own. First and formost I want to offer my thanks to all the IPs and Mods for thier diligent efforts to provide us with incouragement and latest intel within their allowed limitations. I know we would receive more but silence will help us obtain this reward. I wonder if when the stories can be told if they will be of Selfishness and Greed that held back the process of this event to help humanity. This is worldwide and will benefit so many as to Hunger, Pestelance etc. We will remember those responsible and it will but put in the History books how they couldn't overcome their Petty differences and act so that Humanity could Prosper. For the IPs and Mods you are in our prayers. For the ones delaying prosperity for the world and Humanity I hope the people of the world find it in their hearts to forgive your shortcomings as God has taught them. Our Prayers are for all involved to bring this to the people of the world to strengthen them and answer their Prayers of Hope so the suffering of so many might end. I encourage all to help thy neighbor, Watch over the Elderly and have Patience and understanding for the children of the world as they learn and grow to Adulthood. Love and Prayers to all as we await this much needed gift to the world.

Just in case all my "intelligence" is wrong and the forums "intel" is right, (fat chance) make sure you gift or donate in pre cash -in values, meaning in dinar. Get a receipt for the post rv value if you're donating for your tax deduction. Also if you are gifting, you and your loved ones will pay the taxes only one time.

Okie posted a 42.38 rate. I believe this is a hint to the raising of the zeros on the 50, 100 & 200 dinar notes being used in iraq. Currently it is understood that these notes are worth 1000 times more than face value on the streets since the fall of the currency. I'll use the 50 dinar note for example. So u take 1.00 US divided by 1166 dinar (the exchange value) =.00085763 centsUS. Multiply that times 50,000 dinar(a 50 dinar note) = roughly 43 US or 42.38 (the value has changed a bit recently). Now u raise the zeros and the multiplier is .86 centsUS rounded off times 50 dinar and you still get 43US, but to the average Mohammed and Abdhul on the street their dinar is worth more. Good for us however because the exchange value is 1.166 or 1.17 rounded dinar per US dollar or .86 cents per dinar. If their is indeed a code for an additional $2.50 + .86 =3.36+/- cash in. Brilliant if this is the case or close to it. This would be one of the only ways they could increase the value of their currency internationally without actually raising it in country. Stabilizing economies across the globe and as people invest in iraq and a vast positive change occurs the currency becomes even stronger. Where does the additional $2.50 (code) come in when we cash in. I don't know, maybe oil credits?

Very impressive calcs Kurtis, ty. Of all my readings - no where have I seen this spelled out but it does answer my curiousity of how can Iraq make so much money if they have to pay out so much profit made off sales of dinars.
With this in mind, and definately no disrespect intended,
#1 Please explain your credentials or how you calculated all this and blog post stated that the $42.+ was just an inflated figure used to testdrive the banking program for back door openings which made since. However, both sorces of info creates a major let down for me since all my notes are new $25,000 iqd's.
#2. So using your formula, what would the USD amount be after the rv for each $25,000 note?
Thanx

I've been encouraged by some of the posts that offer a wider understanding of what's at stake in the whole dinar issue! (For instance, footforward had a great post yesterday.) For sure, the reval is going to be a shot in the arm for many of us INDIVIDUALS. But what's at stake here is a gigantic shift in the entire world economic system, from the old debt-based Babylonian system to the value-based, credit system that God is now establishing--a Kingdom-compatiblle system.. I have some very valuable thoughts, IMHO, that could "break up the logjam" of the reval process very, very quickly. (This is posted on May fourth.) But despite my efforts to condense it all in a way that will enable you and others to understand the Lord's perspective and plans for the reval, it still takes up almost three pages! (sorry) As an outsider (lurker, really), I don't know how to break through the process politely and gain a total audience for this word. Perhaps you can help? ... like with an e-mail access to one of the mods or respected spokesmen? I HONESTLY AND HUMBLY BELIEVE THIS WILL ENABLE YOU TO SEE YOUR DINARS EXPLODE BY A FACTOR OF 10-FOLD, 50-FOLD, OR EVEN 100-FOLD. But I sense that this little reply box is not the best venue for such a message. Any help? Bounce back to me ASAP.

I wanted to reply to irishmary that left an question in the blog room last night, about the patriot act it is in the IMF and I am sure you are not a terrorist and you belong to the USA ....... this Patriot Act applies to TERRORIST ONLY and laundering money and this is not what you or anyone here is all about ......
SO it does not apply to you,,,,,, If the FDIC Bank you went into did not deal with that currency that should have told you just that,,, There Institute did not deal with that Currency at all..... I think that its so lame if an Institution would quote you a Law and not explain it to you and make you walk away with a puzzle look on your face like you have committed a crime or something ......
I been having the same problem because I can't find a FDIC that will deal with the currency in Hawaii except for the Honolulu Airport that will be exchange Currency there that I know of no one else unless you fly to the Mainland and do your exchange, or remember
the broker you bought it from will be also exchanging it too. Just a Heads Up for the Peeps in HAWAII ,,,,,, Thanks ALOHA

I am a newcomer to the dinar world, but have been doing my due diligence in reading up on as much as I possibly can. In lieu of this, I have been reading on what my family needs to do to keep secure in the post RV days. One thing that I haven't seen addressed yet, and it may not have been because it isn't an issue, however, if it is, I would like to ask the question...I understand about the computer, phone and address security issues, but what about things like X-box and/or Wii? My family has active accounts (live Xbox and so forth) on these things. Would it be wise to harddrive wipe and ditch the old machines, purchase new machines, do a "friends you see with your eyeballs" purge, and change all our usernames (which doesn't make my kids too happy) etc.? All I know about this is that it took a CC to get a "live account" and there is an IP address that is used on the gaming machines. Any upgrades or purchases to any of the gamer tags goes directly to this account...is there a risk to our secure personal information? And if we do end up 'wiping the slate clean' and getting all new identities, etc., how do we then keep everything secure and yet still allow our kids to have fun? Could someone please let me know if I am on the right track or if this is something that should be 'secured' as well? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Cashing in these amounts would similar to winning the Powerball Lottery. Many of those winners lost much of their winnings. Few of us in here are educated in the matters of investment and finance.

Has anyone approached a financial advisor on what do to with so much money? And what was his/her advice?

I also wanted to open a wonderful bowling slash eating dinner with arcade in my area for all ages to enjoy and create those jobs at the same time ....... i would love to also go into a franchise with a fast food dinner for the young kids to also have a job and keep them out of trouble in hawaii besides helping with nonprofits like the youth centers in hawaii and donating not only my time but money to keep it running for our youth because they are our next presidents or councils our next commanding officers at hand ,,,,,,,,,,
just wanted to put this out and what I would like to do for my community when we have gone through our RV process,,,,,,

NYSE Trader 018 Reading Chart
Reuters

While most investors realize Iraq is still a dangerous place to travel to, they may not fully grasp the financial risks tied to trading in the nation’s currency, the dinar.

Worried about the dinar’s illiquidity, the threat of currency fraud and still-unstable situation in Iraq, Wells Fargo (WFC: 32.72, -0.43, -1.30%) issued a warning this week urging investors to steer clear of the currency.

“Considering that Iraq remains a dangerous place with an uncertain future, we strongly advise investors against taking the risk of buying Iraqi dinar as an investment,” Paul Christopher, chief international investment strategist at Wells Fargo Advisors, wrote in a note in response to investor curiosity about the currency.

Introduced as Iraq’s new currency in 2004 after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime, the dinar, which recently traded at about 1,165 dinar per U.S. dollar, is still only available in paper form because most U.S. banks decline to deal it.

That means the dinar is still very much a part of the Wild West of the currency world, an area most investors should probably avoid funneling money to.

Yet investors are clearly curious about the dinar, largely because of yet-to-be-realized hopes that the Iraqi Central Bank will revalue the currency by resetting its exchange rate at a more favorable value. They point to similar economic rebounds and currency revaluations in West Germany after World War II and in Kuwait after Saddam’s 1991 invasion.

Yet Christopher spells out four main risks to buying into the dinar now: the threat of future violence in Iraq, illiquidity, risk of fraud and historical precedent.

While Iraq has clearly made great political strides in recent years, the political unity between Iraq's three competing ethnic groups remains extremely fragile. Plus, foreign influence, especially from that of Iran, threatens to further inflame political tensions.

“Iraq’s post-war experience shows much stronger ethnic divisions than was the case in Germany or Kuwait, prior to their currency revaluation,” Christopher wrote. “While the economy grapples with violence, the prospect of a currency revaluation seems remote.”

But even if the political and violence situations didn’t cast a pall over the dinar, the illiquid nature of the currency makes investment impractical.

Because few of the world’s banks outside the Middle East work with Iraqi banks, most investors are forced to buy actual physical dinar banknotes (rather than the electronic form of the currency like a euro investor would). Dealers in banknotes charge customers for the cost of shipping, handling and buying/selling the dinar in a wholesale market, Christopher said.

“The costs for buying or selling the dinar may absorb most or even all of an investor’s return,” Christopher said.

Without any banks to work with, investors in the Iraqi dinar are often forced to work with Internet trading companies and potentially shady dinar dealers that aren’t closely regulated by the U.S. government. That leaves investors open to the risk of fraud.

Christopher pointed to the fact that the Iraqi dinar trade ranked No. 6 on the Utah Department of Commerce’s list of top 10 frauds of 2006.

“We suggest many [currency] recommendations that we believe have much less liquidity, fraud and principal risk,” Christopher said.

Maliki Seeks World Bank Help to Reduce Dependence on Oil

Posted on 23 May 2012.

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, received a delegation on Monday from the World Bank, headed by its Regional Director Mr. Hedi Larbi.

During the meeting, Maliki called on the World Bank to support Iraq by sharing experience and providing training for the Iraqis that will contribute to the planning and management of the Iraqi economy and to the development in various sectors.

He also said that Iraq’s economy should not be exclusively dependent on oil revenues. “We should work on investment and seek to develop other sectors in order to reach diversified and stable economy that is not affected by oil prices. Thus, we must stimulate other sectors such as agriculture, industry and tourism”, Maliki said in a statement.

Mr. Larbi expressed the willingness of the World Bank to provide Iraq’s needs, including training and expertise in order to build a solid and strong economy, emphasizing Iraq’s ability to develop its economy and to benefit from oil revenues in diversifying the economy.

OK, but I thought from reading the different comments that you needed to sign up with a particular group, (ex: PTR, Studly, Hammerman, wangdang), in order to be included as a larger sized group to the banks and because of that power in numbers we would be given the best rates available?

So you're saying by just being in the mix here at recaps, we will be notified by email and have that same negotiating power and codes as a whole recaps group and do not need to sign up under any specific group, am I correct?

Sorry to repeat myself but just want to confirm I understand correctly and rely the info to the others correctly. May I ask how to reach some of these groups any way because the are having post RV training's and we were wanting to contact them to get the info on how to sign up. Is there a contact list I can be emailed of the different groups or leaders of these groups or phone #'s to get more information about post RV training's?

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

Dinar Recaps will be emailing (NOT posting publicly) this information to our email list. Now would be a good time to join, or set up a new email to receive our emails. You may go to our POST-RV page http://www.dinarrecaps.com/post-rv.html to signup. We will NOT answer any questions emailed to us pertaining to this at this time. This is the same information the other groups will have and will send it to all our email subscribers on our main email list.

I so appreciate Adam Montana's Q & A. He does not sugar coat anything. His answers are, it is what it is. I would much rather hear the truth than assumptions. Thanks Adam for being so straight forward. also for all your hard work. : - )

I'm a little confused about the "deleting the 0's" from the iraqi currency. If they delete 3 zeroes, wouldn't that delete 3 zeroes from the currency we hold?

Earlier today (7/15/12) Sing4u2 provided an insightful post. It encouraged me to craft the following comments. I am submitting this here because I don't know how to respond directly.

There is another group of us out there who are not investors, those that want to be investors, or are lottery players; but rather, are developers who have exciting visions for projects that our communities need. We are the ones that lost everything a few years ago when the bankers turned their backs on us. We don’t have the resources to advance these ideas and frankly don’t even have the ability to purchase enough currency to create sufficient capital to make these projects happen.

The projects we are planning fill community needs that are crying out to be served. These developments and programs are not designed to turn a quick profit. In many cases these are “grass-roots” ideas that typically don’t meet the ruthless underwriting tests that conventional debt and equity sources demand. And while they will produce a handsome return on investment, they do not sacrifice quality and functionality in order to maximize short term profit.

Our plans have the promise of energizing our local economies, creating rewarding employment, enhancing our quality of life and respecting our environment. They are sitting on the shelf waiting for a little seed money to move them forward. They are truly “shovel ready” and can be implemented immediately if sufficient capital can be assembled to support the teams that are standing by to make them happen. And frankly, they will be better projects if they don’t have to meet the greedy standards of conventional funding sources.

It occurs to me that this forum may provide a perfect platform for communicating these opportunities to people looking for investments that not only will deliver a solid long-term return but also will respond to real needs in our communities. Many of our fellow dinarians have exactly the right perspective and motivation to support these types of efforts.

I would welcome your thoughts on how to evolve this forum after the revaluation to one that might provide a range of benefits to our extended family including providing a somewhat exclusive vehicle for presenting these exciting visions for our future.

I have a questione that has not seemed to be asked. In reference to the "managed float" idea, if the RV presents itself and is then considered "currency" (no longer exotic) and then 90 days later it is RVd, is it then considered a non taxable event on the second RV???

Seems if there is a "managed float" with 90 day intervals, it would be wise to await supply and demand...let the rate rise and cash out during the second RV since the currency would have already been established as non-exotic....and would therefore be a non taxable event similar to Kuwait...???? Right?? (or am I delusional...lol) Sorry about two posts/questions....I did not think I got it all out the first time. :)

Curious if anyone is or has scanned their dinar notes? If so has anyone tried the NeatDesk Desktop Scanner? I was considering the purchase of one, but the mixed reviews at Amazon held me back.

Hi all. I've been reading the blog for about a year now, I would guess. I am still confused by a couple of things.
1. I don't understand why people think this is such a sure bet. I am certainly hoping it is, but can someone explain in clear terms to the initiated in world currencies just exactly why you all are so certain it will indeed revalue?
2. I don't understand why all the hubbub about personal security. There are many already wealthy people in the world who have personal computers that they use for managing their wealth, and they use cell phones with GPS's, and wii's, etc. If a wealthy person inherits more money, they don't change all these devices. Would someone explain this aspect, please?

As an investor for under one year, my question is simple: Why does the RV have to happen? Why not a devaluation for example? My questions ae sincere.

How come Okie, Footforward and other's that usually on Dinar Recaps all the time have suddenly disappeared and people that we have never heard of are on there all the time now. Makes you wonder why or what is actually going on? Are these people no longer? Have the people that have only listened to them now been abandoned and left to fin for themselves? What's the deal? I guess after 10 or more years even they can give up on something.

I just have a question. I keep seeing posts regarding cash in codes. What are they, who has them and where can I get them?

I just figured I would go down to Chase or WB or BOA and convert after the rv. I guess I missed this one.

thanks.

my brother has been stationed in Iraq for a while, and I asked him what he knows about the Dinar and he said please tell me you didnt get involved in that scam "why would we allow their currency to revalue when we are pumping billions of dollars over there. I denied having any dinar because he was so upset at the thought of me getting involved.now I'm scared because I have invested like so many others and everytime I bring it up I hear something negative.

My dinar was verified at the time of purchase. Every bill was checked. But, I have no receipts, nor do my kids as I gave them dinar as a gift. I read before on your site that proof of purchase was not needed to exchange. Is this true, and will I pay capital gains or will government make me pay 35% because I have no receipts?
