ERBIL (AKnews): Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani said if the Iraqi government did not comply with the constitution and stepped towards "dictatorship and unilateralism", Kurdish nation would make another decision, presidential website reported.

He added following the fall of Baath regime in 2003, Kurdistan Region has established its relations according to a constitution, which 80% of the Iraqi peoples voted to and which recognizes Kurds and Arabs as the two main components of Iraq.

Barzani continued the same constitution requires the parties to observe the principles of consensus, real partnership and balance in authority, rights and duties within the Iraqi federal system.

"We, in the Kurdistan Region, have a clear position and policy [and] as long as Iraq complies with democracy and constitution, we will remain part of this federal system," Barzani said, warning if Iraq moved towards unilateral ruling, the Kurdish people would not be willing to live "under the auspices of a dictator regime."
