With all the news of the currency issues around pricing and demand for the dollar, I thought I'd dissect the issue. I believe this will tie in nicely with BondLady's last two chats along with the news of counterfeiting and the current visit by the US to Iraq. There is a ton of escalation, urgency and attention to this current currency issue.

This substantial issue at hand regarding the price of the dollar versus the dinar can easily be understated.

The issue of the increasing rate and the high demand for the supply cannot be fixed with a simple 4 pip change in the rate like what happened in January of 2012....that was to align inflation which brought no benefit to the people of iraq.

treasure4e]  I spoke to a banker from Bank of America and let me just say this He was one of those people that cannot lie without telling just by body language…. that my 17 yr old twins picked up on!

treasure4e] He was in the wealth management dept….I said to him so you think it is a scam?  And he turned his face, then looked at the ground, then rubbed his chin and then said.." I didnt say it was a scam and when it does RV watch out"

[vic406] OK guys I have held back,  but I do have a positive story for you all. By the way I know its true because it involved me! My niece asked me to give her a ride to the bank to deposit her check ,college kid which I did.

As she was signing it the teller noticed a 25k note in her wallet and asked if she
Had more and replied "Yes,  Why , are you exchanging ? "

"I think so?  write down how much you have I will ask the branch manager." After a couple minutes she was told they would be glad to do that but the rate is constantly changing so go get them all and whatever the rate is when you get back that is what we Will give you.

So I drove like a nut and got her back, the teller started to help her after a little bit she replied... "funny,  I'm not seeing it here?"

The teller next to her was watching and tapped her shoulder and said "don't you remember the meeting the other ?  We're not exchanging just yet?"

She replied "That's right."  The bottom line was the manager was able to view a moving rate from his screen, and they have had meetings about it so at least it tells me we are looking good. I hope this helps

I was talking to a Muslim lady, who is a a doctor and has a great restaurant I go occasionally, when I'm not totally broke. Anyway, she said something that I found profound and beautiful and very relevant to where we are with the dinar investment.

She said: "Islam is about being between patience and thankfulness. We need to be patient for what we have asked for and then be thankful when it arrives." Given Iraq is mostly Muslim, I think it is very appropriate for us to honor that view too.

I see lots of people who are extremely wound up over the dinar, "will it happen tonight?" etc. There is nothing we can do at all. The gurus do their best to give us what they can. But not one of them has the full set of jigsaw pieces either. If they did, they did they would not be here with the rest of us. So please, don't berate them if your expectations weren't met. It is our expectations that cause us pain. The dinar is not "late", how can it be late since we don't know the plan? As the Beatles said, Let It Be.
