[BlueyesinLevis]: Thank you, Professor. :)
I am pleased to see you make a post advocating that we take a wait and see attitude.
"It is not what happens to us that is important... it is who we become because of those events that truly matters."
This thing reminds me of the choices we have in life. I think of raising my boys... when a crisis would happen... and those around me were freaking out... crying, complaining, blaming, finding fault, turning on each other...
I would take a deep breath.. stand up a little bit taller.. and do whatever it took to get through the crisis... Head held high... helpful... creative... and straightforward...
Seeking a solution.. looking for the best way to weather the storm.

[BlueyesinLevis Continues]: Other dinarians in your life are going to be feeling insecure right now. You have a choice in front of you.
You can add to their insecurity.. or you can be a source of strength.
Everything is a choice.... even not making a choice. Choose strength. Be the ball. :)
[Kaperoni]: It is important to not give up. But at the same time, lets be real about a few things. How important those things are, is yet to be decided.
1. No matter what the charges are on Shabs, the fact that Maliki took over the CBI is bad news. Bad news for Iraq's independence and democracy.
2. This event will impact investment in Iraq. Clearly it will.
3. Delays, at the very least, its a setback. So close to a free float of the dinar, and then this happens will delay any further implimentation. There is no doubt.
4. Banking confidence. One's central bank is a reflection of it's ability to pay bills and credit worthiness. This move sets the CBI under the GOI which will weaken that position.
[Tlar]: The parliament being engineered to shut down at this exact time until the end of the feast makes total sense now. Maliki wanted no organized opposition to these moves. He certainly is the puppet master planning each move to take over I raq.
If we, the little people could see this coming article by article, where is our intelligence community?
If our administration lets this happen while they are still in VII it will be an absolute failure of our foreign policy.
I cannot possibly believe that our administration or the international community will just sit back idolly and let a despot take control of Iraq right in front of our noses while this is going on. I have to agree with the professor.
The forces of "good" are in the planning stages to mount a counter offensive. This is why Nujaifi, Allawi, Barzini and the UN and US are not speaking out at this time.
They are/should be getting lined up to stage a complete comback along with external forces.. In the past the US in particular had to see their enemy make an aggressive move before acting.
I believe the UN who along with Bremmer's Provisional Government installed Shibibi In addition we helped show the Iraqi's how to write their constitution that holds those protections for Shabibi, his employees and the Independence of the bank. Iraq is still under VII.
As such we have the right to go in. IMHO this is not even close to being over. P.S. How close we must have been for Maliki to pull this stunt. I hope it come back to bite him .*** *** ***
