10:20 AM [BGG] Dont
10:20 AM [BGG] believe everything that gets typed on the internet.
10:21 AM [BGG] some grocery boy in Ohio with an Iphone is lonely.
10:21 AM [BGG] and we think we gotta' believe it.
10:21 AM [BGG] it's on the internet - it must be Gospel!!
10:22 AM [BGG] there really is a lot we don't know...no matter how good our sources.
10:22 AM [BGG] I have long been of the opinion Iraq will have to RV first - then Ban Ki will let them out of Ch7...
10:23 AM [Daisy] Hey BGG... feeling better?
10:23 AM [BGG] he know he can trust Maliki about as far as he can throw him...
10:23 AM [honugirl] Now that Moon is in Baghdad didn't someone say he wouldn't go to the Summit unless there was going to be an RV?
10:23 AM [BGG] Ban Ki wants them to RV so they can finalize the war damages with Kuwait.

10:23 AM [Daisy] "After so many years of suffering -- repression, sanctions, war and economic hardship -- our collective presence in Baghdad is a testament to the great strides Iraq has made," U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the group Thursday. "This summit in Baghdad clearly shows that Iraq is regaining its place in the Arab world and the wider international community. The days of the Saddam Hussein regime are well behind us." Referring to the wave of popular uprisings in North Africa and the Middle East known as the Arab Spring, Ban said the summit takes place "at a momentous time for Iraq and the Arab world." Previous summits included Arab leaders who no longer hold power due to the uprisings in several nations, including the late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, former Tunisian President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, and former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. "The winds of change will not cease to blow," Ban said. Among the issues on the agenda are the yearlong crackdown on opposition in Syria, Somalia, Yemen, the Arab-Israeli conflict, international terrorism, and making the Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction. Among the leaders attending is Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Saba. It's the first visit by Kuwait's head of state since 1990, when Iraq invaded Kuwait. Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby arrived Sunday in Baghdad with a small delegation in advance of the summit. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of war crimes and genocide, is also at the meeting. Al-Bashir has traveled to other Arab countries despite the ICC warrants against him for alleged war crimes and genocide in the Darfur region, where rebels have fought government forces and allied militiamen such as the Janjaweed since 2003.
10:24 AM [BGG] Daisy - some.
10:24 AM [Daisy] Thats good...
10:24 AM [Daisy] You gotta get well so ya can celebrate...
10:24 AM [BGG] Maliki just backed out of his last "agreements" with Kuwait just the other day and Ban Ki was sitting with them!!
10:25 AM [mona lisa]
10:25 AM [Daisy] The article I just posted was from CNN about an hour or so ago
10:25 AM [OfCourse13] Unbelievable!
10:25 AM [BGG] He's about to get some serious "egg on his face" - at this Summit...
10:26 AM [OfCourse13] NOT sounding like an rv ???
10:26 AM [Daisy] I prefer he cut a few knuckle sandwiches myself
10:26 AM [Daisy] *get
10:26 AM [BGG] He jerked the majority of the Sunni Arab leadership around by leading them to believe he would honor agreements and at the last minute they all "bailed" on the Summit....
10:26 AM [BGG] this is no Summit...
10:27 AM [Daisy]geez.......
10:27 AM [BGG] it's a victory lap with no victory.
10:27 AM [honugirl] What's a mother to do???
10:27 AM [mona lisa] no wonder everyone is stone faced ... maybe we'll get to see shoes
10:28 AM [Daisy] but they are always stone faced at these things...
10:28 AM [BGG] all the big wigs sent their Arab League Ambassadors (lower level politicos than UN Ambassadors!?! )...
10:28 AM [mona lisa] BGG .. I was just going to ask that ... the big players didn't come? wow
10:28 AM [BGG] mona lisa - not one...
10:28 AM [mona lisa] DIS
10:28 AM [sappho] well un ambassodors are for the un...
10:28 AM [BGG] and I think they are plotting their fun...right now.
10:28 AM [Splatyfish] BGG is that from articles or intel that these high power people didnt go?
10:28 AM [Daisy] ?
10:29 AM [mona lisa] bwah ha ha
10:29 AM [BGG] it's about the money and DC is just as sick of this as anyone...
10:29 AM [Daisy] fun?
10:29 AM [roadrash] GM all
10:30 AM [Daisy] mornin rr
10:30 AM [roadrash] do we know how many and which foreign ministers met yesterday???? I would hope that the FM of Jordan and Saudi were there working and their Kings just decided not to go because of security
10:30 AM [honugirl] Hey there roadrash
10:31 AM [BGG] I am still being told this can happen at any minute...
10:31 AM [BGG] and is likely...
10:31 AM [Daisy] praise GOD!
10:31 AM [mona lisa] BGG that is VERY encouraging!!
10:31 AM [honugirl] BGG I sure hope you are right...
10:31 AM [Daisy] bring it on LORD!
10:31 AM [roadrash] that is good to know BGG
10:31 AM [OfCourse13] BGG How can it be likely if M is backing out of everything?
10:32 AM [BGG] but I'll tell you I'm a little skeptical...my gut tells me that Maliki will drag this out some more.
10:32 AM [mona lisa] BGG days weeks months?
10:32 AM [roadrash] OfCourse13 there are stories out there saying that he is in agreement with all, too. you have to really put on your thinking cap and analyze each story
10:32 AM [Daisy] tell ur gut to hush...
10:33 AM [BGG] The next point I'm looking at is the National Council on April 5th and if that fails I would look for an all-out no confidence push against the Maliki govenment - to be done as early as the 15th of April...
10:34 AM [honugirl] BGG Tell your gut to quit (puke)!
10:34 AM [roadrash] I'm not really a maliki basher... I am not there to analze myself. plus, O gets almost as many bad stories about his actions as Maliki does... the opposite is true too
10:34 AM [TheLordReigns] I personally do not believe we will see an RV until Maliki is removed from his position.
10:34 AM [careful1] according to what im seeing on the al jazeer channel their umm rolling sticker at the bottom only 10 of 22 leaders showed up for the summit today..thats what its saying anyway
10:34 AM [BGG] an immediate RV is still completely possible - just looking at the possiblities.
10:35 AM [BGG] particularly since I have been plainly told they accomplished what was needed already - however, Maliki will need drug to this thing kicking and screaming.
10:35 AM [BGG] I'm not telling you anything you aren't already thinking...
10:36 AM [jonjon] so, basically summit produced nothing more than some positive rhetoric on Iraq's moving forward economically...
10:36 AM [ONEDOWN] careful1 yep it is a slap in M's face. No one likes M except Iran and they werent invited
10:36 AM [Daisy] well they need to go ahead and drag his behind already....
10:36 AM [phase2] BGG They can't announce the GOI until Maliki complys, right? And no GOI announced, no RV So they have to put Maliki in his rightful place!
10:37 AM [itsreallybad] the summit can last late. cause of all the praying they do
10:37 AM [BGG] roadrash - I'm not a Maliki or Obama basher - but as some point you have to look at their actions and be gravely concerned.
10:37 AM [Daisy]concerned is an understatement... I am just saying
10:37 AM [BGG] being balanced is all...
10:38 AM [jonjon] with CBI closed until what 4th or 5th of April? cant see anything happening concerning rv till minimum then...JMO
10:38 AM [newmonies] thats right.... been gravely concerned for somethime now!!!!!
10:38 AM [itsreallybad] can still happen and supposly the media is blked out
10:39 AM [Daisy] jonjon put ur glasses on so ya can see clearly...
10:39 AM [BGG] itsreallybad - that is a possibility...there is an issue with the dates - Iraq has never adjusted currency on any date other than the 1st - never.
10:39 AM [BGG] I've been curious how they would work that out.
10:40 AM [OfCourse13] April 1 would be fine with me!
10:40 AM [jonjon] Daisy...If the CBI controls the monetary system how could there be a change without it being implemented by them...just sayin
10:40 AM [itsreallybad] its 530 there. could still c the rv.
10:40 AM [newmonieswhat an april fools day that would be...
10:40 AM [Daisy] newmonies...
10:41 AM [jonjon] Daisy...on the other hand maybe Shabs already gave the go ahead and it pops the day CBI opens...who knows
10:41 AM [Daisy] jonjon I was being sarcastic and funning you...
10:41 AM [itsreallybad] first is kewl. but its a sunday
10:42 AM [rileyjones] Abbas Talabani: Iraq is still a strong supporter of the Palestinian cause and the struggle of his people http://www.dinarupdates. ··· post3870
10:43 AM [BGG] Listen - my sources are still very, vey excited as late as yesterday (moreso than ever before - as in, never before) - I'm just looking at the political goings on and I am telling you what I think.
10:44 AM [BGG]Later - be good.
10:45 AM [BGG] P.S. there is generous back-up to what I'm saying in all the world wide media feeds - this no huge secret. However, the one thing that encourages me most is the massive pressure that appears to be on Maliki now that wasn't 6-8 weeks ago...
10:46 AM [BGG] there wasn't one bad article out about him and now there seems to be considerable open support for the removal of his government.
10:46 AM [roadrash] careful1 These ten presidents representing Palestine, Kuwait, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Lebanon, Somalia and the Comoros, Djibouti, Iraq are at the summit
10:47 AM [BGG] all the little fish...
10:47 AM [roadrash] palistine somolia and comoros are very poor countries.... no oil
10:47 AM [OfCourse13] BGG Hope your sources have you on speed dial today!
10:47 AM [BGG] roadrash - when I looked at that this morning - my first thought was that Iraq is still running with the "bottom feeders".
10:48 AM [roadrash] the good news is Kuwait was there
10:48 AM [BGG] roadrash - only to kick sand in his face if he doesn't "pony-up" - you watch.
10:48 AM [roadrash] BGG do we know how many and which foreign ministers met yesterday???? I would hope that the FM of Jordan and Saudi were there working and their Kings just decided not to go because of security
10:48 AM [BGG] roadrash - that's not why....
10:49 AM [OfCourse13] And Ban Ki Moon is there!
10:49 AM [BGG] they would give this Shia the time of day...
10:49 AM [roadrash] BGG i know, but the FM attendence is more important, I believe
10:49 AM [BGG] I been sayin' it for a while...especially when he is turning into another Syrian Dictator oppressing thier Sunni brothers.
10:50 AM [BGG] their - Oops.
10:50 AM [newmonies] YES YOU HAVE !!!!!!
10:50 AM [roadrash] BGG you make a good case, but i still have to disagree.
10:50 AM [careful1] the man either has to be taken down or taken out...thats it
10:51 AM [newmonies] hear that??? thats the school bell ringing....
10:51 AM [roadrash] in that part of the world, a bullet or IUD can take care of things if somebody really wants to take care of it
10:51 AM [BGG] I saw a big long article in the Wapo or something like that online just the other nite and it looked like they just ripped off my line from the last month or so...
10:51 AM [ONEDOWN] careful1 i vote for 'taken out'
10:51 AM [BGG] I wasn't unhappy about getting ripped off - just happy I wasn't out in left field all by myself
10:52 AM [careful1] either way i feel thats what has to be done
10:52 AM [newmonies] heck, even wang dang was using your info....
10:52 AM [BGG] careful1 - exactly - either way.
10:52 AM [ONEDOWN] BGG and you didnt bring it in here?
10:52 AM [careful1] he is NOT going to willingly get off that power
10:52 AM [careful1] he has to be made to
10:52 AM [careful1] period
10:53 AM [ONEDOWN] careful1 what absolutely amazes me is that the others have allowed this for so long
10:53 AM [sappho] I personally do not beleive the US and or Irael wants to see a successful Arab League... its in our interests to keep them fighting within... again just an opinion
10:54 AM [BGG] TTYL.
10:54 AM [sappho] bye
10:54 AM [newmonies] BGG Thanks Boss... cya later
10:54 AM [rileyjones] Member State law: Maliki is prepared to implement the demands of all constitutional blocks provided that http://www.dinarupdates. ··· post3872
10:57 AM [BGG] rileyjones - NICE FIND!!
10:57 AM [BGG] rileyjones - as in "past tense"
11:12 AM [BGG] roadrash - again - you and I will disagree. Maliki has hi-jacked the judicial branch of the GOI - he is NOT operating within the confines of the constitution.
11:12 AM [BGG] and he's getting lots closer to either of the two options you put forth.
11:13 AM [BGG] if this goes past the 5th you can pretty much bank on a "no-confidence" proceeding against him...and this one will likely succeed.
11:14 AM [BGG] Listen - my sources are still very, vey excited as late as yesterday (moreso than ever before - as in, never before) - I'm just looking at the political goings on and I am telling you what I think.
11:14 AM [roadrash] BGG that may be true, but you also have to look at our judicial branch. right now i am somewhat happy with it leaning conservative. Just look at the last two justices that O put in.... screaming liberals one would not reques (sp) herself when clearly she should have.
11:15 AM [BGG] P.S. there is generous back-up to what I'm saying in all the world wide media feeds - this no huge secret. However, the one thing that encourages me most is the massive pressure that appears to be on Maliki now that wasn't 6-8 weeks ago...
11:15 AM [roadrash] BGG i hope you are 100% correct.... we need this to happen
11:15 AM [careful1] okay well ill come back and give you any updates al jazeer has to offer..
11:16 AM [roadrash] BGG the pressure is needed, i will agree with that.
11:16 AM [OfCourse13] BGG Is it possible this would be decided/done today but not announced till later after the arab leaders leave. ???
11:17 AM [BGG] OfCourse13 - it is entirely possible it already has been - kind of what I was thinking when the FM's kicked all the media out of their meeting today.
11:17 AM [shalone] seriously, how much pressure does Maliki need to make this happen? I can't imagine any more pressure than right now during Arab summit. If it doesn't happen now with all this pressure, then all bets are off after the summit.
11:18 AM [OfCourse13] Thanks BGG
11:18 AM [BGG] shalone - maybe, maybe not.
11:19 AM [sappho] shalone >>> My thought is if it doesnt happen now during summit, we have the press conference saying they will introduce new currency by september.
11:19 AM [shalone] sappho you sure know how to make someone's day
11:19 AM [jarhead] yeah!!!!
11:20 AM [OfCourse13] RV, currency - different issues
11:20 AM [BGG] shalone - He promised the NC for the 5th and there is considerable "bad blood" brewing for him...this "in-your-face" at the Summit from the rest of the (legitimate) Arab world may be just what was needed to get that pot to boil?!?
11:20 AM [BGG] Gotta' go – TTYL
11:20 AM [sappho] shalone take it as a positive... they said by september which could be anytime but september the latest
11:20 AM [shalone] i was stupid enough to think that the RV would happen before or on the Summit. Its not looking good.
11:21 AM [shalone] I will give another week to two weeks, and if it doesn't happen in the next 10-14 days, we may very well be waiting until September.
11:21 AM [rileyjones] Deputy: House to hold a Congress in upcoming 4 advancement reality investment country http://www.dinarupdates. ··· post3874
11:22 AM [BGG] shalone - do you think the rest of the world cares if Maliki snubbed you too?? Ask yourself why the major players in the Arab world didn't show up here??
11:22 AM [BGG] You're not the only one he's jerking around!!
