[BGG] love it 2 - both...
[BGG] love it 2 - which is why the cousin is wildly popular on both sides of the fence.
[BGG] This next article is a little deceiving...
[carpet] BBG do you think B &M are discussions the budget or gas and oil law[RED LILY] budget .. M wants to spend the money
[BGG] they are basically meeting to get themselves together - they can't hardly accept this current deal from the GOI.
[BGG] However, to answer your Q - carpet
[BGG] The second reading of the budget is already on the published agenda for Tues the 18th... which means the first reading has to be before then. could be they will make changes Maliki cannot contest before the elections. we are about to see...
[RED LILY] This sunday yes yes
[BGG] Someone has to agree with the Kurds to get them to the table.
[anasdesign] In Monday in milliondays roundtable she said first reading was last Sunday I just reread it ... She also said vote is this Sunday
[RED LILY] Yes. This sunday
[BGG] anasdesign - I'm sure there have been delays since then. which is the reason for the newly published agenda.
[RED LILY] Let's hope there is no more
[anasdesign] Ok it's in Mondays DU log I was wondering
[BGG] anasdesign - I'll check on that - could be US pushes Baghdad to pay KRG budget
[BGG] Big piece in the forum #3 I have been pointing this out for a few days now... DC pushing the GOI to cut the strong arming out!! Lol Which is mildly ironic.
[dinar dave] Mildly???? lol
[BGG] Deputy: the first reading of the federal budget will be next Sunday Fri Mar 14 2014 12:21 | (Voice of Iraq) Alsumaria News / Baghdad Confirmed the MP for the Liberal bloc Magda al-Tamimi, on Friday, the House of Representatives will read the federal budget first reading next Sunday, while expected to vote on it during the "two weeks" max. [love it 2] BGG i thought you said the budget meant little or nothing to the RV ..am i correct in saying that ?[anasdesign] Ok
[BGG] love it 2 - economically - it good to see it moving forward. I am not convinced it will contain a rate...
[RED LILY] while expected to vote on it during the "two weeks" max.
[BGG] further - it has been rumored the rate will show first - then the budget. but again - that is a rumor.
[love it 2] BGG same here..we have seen "budgets" come and go... and nothing produced at all
[Richard Incrocci] BGG That is the GOODEST rumor I have read yet lol
[BGG] love it 2 - that is a little on the pessimistic side. there are an awful lot of things to be very hopeful about - one way or the other - things are changing.
[RED LILY] I think it is a mile marker of GREAT "possibility" for it to happen upon "implementation..JmHO
[love it 2] RED LILY BGG here's to hoping
[kba] If they want to reveal everything at once, as MD has suggested, then the budget is important. Not necessary except to their own desired plan.
[Richard Incrocci] RED LILY I agree. I think we're approaching a very important time frame
[BGG] RED LILY - I did read that article - the Sadrists were accused of burning the Dawa Party HQ near Sadr City...
[dinar dave] How can Pizza Hut go in there and sell pizza at a toilet paper rate???? lol
[BGG] However, eyewitnesses say it was the GOI Intel services under orders from some higher ups...
[RED LILY] yea.. and WOW
[BGG] and they allude to it being a Maliki plot to incite a Sadrist/Center conflict prior to the elections... he must not be in the shape he's confident about. or he's projecting confidence about - is the way I should put it. Here it is... the GRAND Finale...
[RED LILY] Major General Raed Jawdat who gave orders to storm the headquarters of the Dawa Party, and before emptying its contents burned completely.
[BGG] A source close to al-Maliki .. There in front of me, only to escape from Iraq, imprisonment or third term (see details) Revealed an adviser to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, al-Maliki told him that "in front of me three options are others after the parliamentary elections.
[BGG] He said the chancellor, who declined to be named, said that "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told him and I quote he has three options after the end of the parliamentary elections, noting that these options are the first ones to escape out of Iraq, while the second is a prison sentence because of litigation in large against him in the absence of victory elections, and the third option is to take the latter is the third term.
[BGG] He noted, that the Prime Minister is very afraid of the parliamentary elections due to declining popularity and live in a state which is a daily concern in the unenviable situation in light of the difficult things.
[BGG] 3 options...(via his advisor)
[BGG] 1) to escape out of Iraq...
[BGG] 2) a prison sentence because of litigation in large against him in the absence of victory elections,
[BGG] 3) or a third term.
[EZ1] I like the second!
[dinar dave] That's one SMART Advisor
[caravaggio] I vote for Door #2.
[topgun] May #3 be "VERY Unlikely"
[Richard Incrocci] Don Henley Song running thru my melon lol
[BGG] "the Prime Minister is very afraid of the parliamentary elections due to declining popularity (Uhhhhh - that's an understatement...)"

[smiller67] love it 2 No that's hilarious! lol
[dinar dave] I would think his only life line would be to change the rate???
[BGG] - now back to the point I started off with...
[topgun] I vote for #4 !!!
[BGG] in spite of all this - currency reform is a very public topic. Take heart friends.
[EZ1] love it 2 I think he would look good at the gallows!
[BGG] You all be good to one another - I'm off to supper. We're in the home stretch.
[Richard Incrocci] BGG Looks like the end is near
JBG: There is always another option that no one seems to want to address....................what if Maliki stalls or postpones the elections as long as he can by what ever methods he comes up with (like the people of Ansbar are displaced from their homes and cannot vote at this time) and stays in there as long as he wants because no one has the stones to get him out....then what happens to the RV....it is Iraq and it is Maliki and he seems to be able to continue to do whatever he wants to....that is what concerns me...then we will be in limbo land.....any thoughts on this anyone....
