*** Flashback ***
UPDATE: Going back to the middle of 2010 the Obama White House has plainly had a hand in this situation. While at times it is difficult to accept and other times even harder to comprehend their path – the influence is there. The “moment of clarity” came for me not long ago…a friend of mine kept asking me “Why doesn’t this President seem to want this to happen right now – wouldn’t it be good for his campaign”? The answer is simple. It would be very good for his campaign – but it would be the completely opposed to every strategy they have run thus far.
This is not meant to be an overly divisive update in any way – I’m looking at this through the perspective as it relates to this investment. Period. The Obama Administration along with VP Biden were the primary brokers of the original “Erbil Agreement”. Without their influence Maliki would never have gotten the PM spot. I have a sneaky suspicion Maliki exhibited some value as an “internal ally” for the White House or they wouldn’t have done this. Almost as interesting is Maliki also had the backing of Iran as well.
On the subject of the economics as it relates to us – this Administration has run the “Cloward and Piven Plan” like Urban Meyer ran the “spread option” at Florida (you can google that). They have been unrelenting and efficient. Wayne Allyn Root wrote in an op ed piece that President Obama is “purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy”. As confirmed by Snopes.com – “President Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he is doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos – thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within”.
The “Plan” is designed to crush a system under the weight of debt and overspending on social programs and to the bring about social change under the guise of “reform”. Sound familiar?? The problem we face is a massive injection of “Dinar Capital” is completely averse to this strategy. If this is, in fact, the angle they have taken, it would explain the “deny and delay” strategy. On the other hand, now we toss into the mix a couple of “wacky” Muslim clerics – Sadr and Hakim. This is bad news for the Washington team. These two are convinced they answer to Allah and the only thing that pisses them off worse than Iran having a hand in their politics is the US hanging over their shoulder (they DO NOT CARE if you are red or blue – they don’t like any of us). This is good news for us – because I think there is a fire started that neither side can put out.
The only out for this President is much of this Middle Eastern policy could possibly be attributed to sheer ignorance. The thing VP Biden is famous for ”majoring in” during all his years on the Foreign Affairs Committee is mass blunder and ignorance. These recent stances against Israel, landing on the same side as Iran numerous times, supporting Maliki – who in turn supports Syria (can you say genocide?), sanctions against Iran so soft they might as well not be there (which Maliki has been instrumental in circumventing) and the most recent rumor of both Iran and the US supporting Maliki during this 15-day ultimatum all smells very “fishy”. (note the early rumor was the US supported the ultimatum – several later reports contradict this early version).
How do I see this? I think it is a “dream” to be able to “control” the Muslims – they are about to get to the point of true freedom – no matter what Iran or the U.S. thinks they want. Iraq doesn’t want another dictator. I also differ greatly with the inferrance that “holding back” once this happens (and I believe it will) somehow hurts this President. If I read this right – that’s exactly what he wants and it would be bad for our country. I don’t think this will pay off everything immediately – but it would “prime the pump” so to speak. I’m not saying to spend everything you have – but be a patriot and don’t hold back out of fear or intimidation. Be bold, be blessed and act like it!!
President Barzani’s Visit And Washington’s Hedging Strategy
That Obama administration leaders would treat President Barzani as they would an important head of state suggests that Washington is very uneasy about developments in Iraq and the surrounding region. The official U.S. policy still emphasizes support for a united Iraq with a strong central government in Baghdad, and administration officials urged Barzani to “re-engage” with Baghdad. But the administration’s other actions during his visit point to the emergence of a “hedging” strategy.
It is hardly a secret within the U.S. foreign policy community that Washington is increasingly disenchanted with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Not only are there worries about the Maliki government’s growing authoritarian tendencies, but U.S. officials are extremely disturbed by that government’s cozy relations with Tehran. Baghdad’s vocal opposition to stronger sanctions against Iran, and the blunt statement from Iraq’s foreign minister opposing any outside support for Syrian opposition forces seeking to overthrow the regime of Iran’s ally, Bashar al-Assad, came as a bitter disappointment to the Obama administration.
I really like this guy’s take on things, not one-sided, very clear, a good bit of “insider info” and not even a hint of “crazy conspiracy” to it…a good read. The good news is – even the White House might be seeing the err of their ways!!
On a side note – regarding the info Okie might have “blundered into” – if China truly got wind of a “concerted effort” on the part of the White House to bring about social change through “The Plan” – they would probably be pretty pissed (like Okie was saying) since they hold a massive amount of our debt. On the other hand – if they were being otherwise rewarded (as in oilfields, banks and property here in the U.S.) they might be placated. Things to keep an eye on…

Sadr accepted by all sides as mediator to settle disputes, says MP
Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Midhir al-Janabi, of the Iraqiya Slate confirmed that “The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, is accepted by all political sides as a mediator to settle the disputes to end the current crisis.”
He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) “Sadr is an effective partner who play an active role to save the political process due to his political, religious and social status. He will succeed in pressurizing the State of Law Coalition to change its stances,” he added. “Iraq’s interests require reaching agreement to settle the crisis without foreign interferences as soon as possible,” he stressed, noting that “The crisis reached complicated level.” /End/
Boy, you know it’s a baaaaaad day when Sadr is the most sane one of the bunch. All kidding aside, I have said all along – keep an eye on Sadr and Hakim (aka the swing votes).
During the next 48 hours .. Sadrists Senqd Erbil agreement last fall and the withdrawal of confidence from the Maliki
I almost sources from within the Office of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told the news that the Shatt al-Arab Negotiations are ongoing between the Sadrists and the Dawa Party, the ruling power to discourage demand for the withdrawal of confidence from the Maliki and the tradeoffs to project a reformist rather than modulatory.
And has confirmed these sources that the Sadr movement came under Aldaguet Aldoab by reference the Dawa Party, Mr. Mahmoud Shahroudi, Night and some Almtsidin of the Iraqi in Iran, which led to a difference within the political body about the feasibility of the initiative of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, which led to the patient proceed in the continuity of the Convention on the Arbil.
I laughed so hard when I saw this picture – it’s the one where I said “it looks like Sadr is having all he can do to not reach over and bite Maliki in the face”!!
I do suspect these negotiations will hit “high gear” this weekend – but go nowhere – because everyone knows you can’t trust Maliki. They are going to get what they want anyway. Why not wait 2 more days and “take out the trash”??
NC rejects “infringement” on right to decide about withdrawing confidence from Maliki
BAGHDAD, May 10 (AKnews) – The Iraqi National Coalition (NC) today expressed its rejection of the “infringement” on its right to withdraw confidence from the current government, emphasizing that other parties can express their observations on the government without going through the details of withdrawing confidence.Mohammed…
We immediately follow the article about Sadr and Maliki being in negotiations with one where Sadr’s immediate “posse” is pretty much saying they will vote as they please anyway. Which is highly likely the reason there is a certain “frenetic pace” to Maliki’s moves these days.
Central bank: the leaders of the Dawa Party and the corruption behind foreign exchange auction in the country and the dollar exchange rate volatility
A letter from an Iraqi citizen as we publish the statement and comment:
I learned from some reliable sources within the Central Bank of Iraq that Maysod day of chaos in the foreign exchange auction carried out by the Central Bank of Iraq is because of the monopoly of selling dollars to banks and foreign exchange companies belonging to the Iraqis some politicians and some sources of the Iraqi government (Dawa Party).
If this goes badly for Maliki I don’t see any way the Dawa party isn’t completely washed up. This article is the CBI giving the Dawa party a dose of their own medicine. The SLC and Dawa thugs have been all over the CBI lately – looks like Dr Shabibi is giving them one last “farewell broadside”
Here are some Headlines for today –
No one is authorized to freeze the constitution
An Iraqi constitutional lawyer saying “there ain’t no way”!!
Maliki’s party in negotiations to solve deputy PM Mutlag’s issue
The only reason Maliki’s goons are trying to solve “Mutlag’s issue” is because they are tied up in that “tangled web” together!! Kind of ironic the one issue they just can’t put to bed is the one they lit the fuse on.
*** Rumor Comments *** – May 11th
Rumor – Guru XYZ said int’l wires were stopped (yesterday).
Rumor – (follow-up today) Hello Peeps and fellow XXXXXXXs!!! Just wanted to let Everyone in Dinar Land that JWG was right on when he posted that International wires have been suspended as of Yesterday at 3 EST….
Since they won’t let this one go….
Mamma G says: I just wanted to let everyone know that I went to my Wells Fargo Bank and I pretended like I was going to send an international wire. They told me what the fees would be to send the wire and asked me if I would like to do it today. I told them that I needed to get the information and that I would be back tomorrow. They said no problem and that they would be available to assist me when I returned to the bank in the morning. SO THERE YOU GO!!!!! INTERNATIONAL WIRE TRANSFERS ARE UP AND RUNNING AT WELLS FARGO BANK!!! BAM!
Intel Guru – I was looking for this on Monday and I’m in shock that it didn’t show up. I can’t find one person that I trust that knows why it hasn’t shown. If there is no valid reason, I take that as a positive. I firmly believe that this is out of Iraq’s hands. They have said they would have a vote of confidence against Maliki maybe 10 times and he is still there. He is on TV right now asking for a National Conference & other things that need to be done. It is a charade, for their pride in Iraq to make it look like they are in control. Maliki will eventually be out of the picture.
Time to get some new people you trust. It’s firmly in Iraq’s hands though – this is their country. It’s a vote of “no confidence” and it’s no charade…he’s about to be out on his fannie. Debunkeroooo!!!
If you find a crazy rumor or have a question about something you’ve heard – bring it to one of the Mods over at www.dinarupdates.com and we’ll use it here. Thanks!!
