NetGlobal: So the tarrifs have kicked in. Have the bonds started selling internationally yet?
Mangelo: Bonds start on Sunday
NetGlobal: I understand they cant sell the bond international until they have a international rate.
Jersyboys: It's difficult to know what to expect regarding timing because the Middle Eastern culture is a 180 from the American culture. If we say it's gonna happen on the 1st, preparations are made and prior to the 1st, it's ready to go and goes on time. It's a total crapshoot as to when they will do it. Dates and times will be forever subject to change.
WTurner: Recall that the Tariffs don't affect the average Iraqi Citizen as food is not part of Tariffs applied
Rkstx: Good find. Tarriffs. Best find on chat ever as this says the end, IMO, of the process is working smoothly and as planned. From Martha, watch whT they do. They did and announced Tarriffs.!!!!
Dinar Updates: (repost)
Millionday: Quote: "The head of the minister for economic affairs adviser appearance of Mohammed Saleh, Wednesday, that the application of the decision tariff will not change schedule will apply on time."
Millionday: PLANS SEEM TO BE GOING FORWARD ON TIME...
Q: [SO WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE TAXES AND NO RATE CHANGE?]
Millionday: THE COST OF LIVING NEEDS TO RAISE IN COUNTRY FOR ELECTRIC ETC -- BUT THE TARRIFF NEEDS TO IMPACT PRICING FOR COMPETITION TO BE SUCCESSFUL -- IMO...GREAT QUESTION...
Q: [IF these tariff and taxes start tomorrow [Saturday] without a rate, that will hurt the Iraqi citizens cause they won't have the money to pay for the items that they need with the taxes added to it?]
Millionday : I BELIEVE THEY ARE FOR EXPORTS ETC -- NOT LOCAL PRODUCTS AT THIS POINT.
