Dr. M. J. Randy: Point of information: While we will make a few pennies with this upcoming revaluation the real money will be made with the second and third baskets of currencies which are to be revalued.
The reason is simply because we will have more money to invest. Suggestion: For those of us who are holding the Iranian Rial when the Rial revalues I respectfully suggest you only exchange the amount of Rial you need to exchange.
You can hold the remaining Rial as a store of value. Since the banking laws have changed you are no longer considered a, "Depositor" now you are considered an "investor" and as such your deposits are now the banks to do with as they see fit.
If the bank folds the bank can use your entire deposit as it's own. The F.D.I.C. will step in AFTER all depositor's funds, bond holder funds etc. are depleted.
This is why I say only have as much money in the bank that you can afford to lose. Suggestion: You might want to consider one of the large stock brokerage firms..There your entire account is insured [$50 million-$100 million etc.] again only a suggestion. Take care, stay well and God bless..
Dr. JiM. Dandy: The bank folding "Bail In" talk from a few years ago pertaining to Cypress and the rumors surrounding Greece, Italy, Spain, etc. at the time have long since departed. And thankfully so. Just another false alarm.
The whole idea of this "leveling of the playing field" so to speak as well as the removal of the derivatives, etc. is all to make darn sure none of that is ever an issue again.
Having said all that, those truly "in the know" know all too well that for the banks to consider our deposits to be 'their' money to do with as they please, it requires our funds to be deposited in an INTEREST BEARING account. The thinking being that if we're making money, then they can make money off our money that's making money while in their bank.
That is why I myself won't be doing any such thing. The Dinarland rumor mill always posed the reason for the NON INTEREST BEARING (NIB) account was merely for the FDIC insurance factor. Which as we all know ended years ago.
But initially I will still be depositing my funds in several (one for each of the various currencies exchanged) NIB accounts. I'm more than willing to forego a small amount of interest while I move my chess pieces to their various destinations.
Once that is taken care of, then I will begin my diversification process. Some funds will undoubtedly being earning interest at that point but many will not. That money will be 'making' money, not sitting idle.
The Rial was hyped long ago (Sept. 18th, 2015 rings a bell as I recall as the first of many rumored RI dates) but who knows when we might actually see a change in that value. It's all speculation as is everything else.
And we know it won't be announced ahead of time, not in an article nor a press release and neither will the rate. As far as second or third baskets are concerned, you will need to hold at least $10 million in 'liquid' investment funds to be considered a serious investor.
The days of the small guy getting involved are ending with this entire scenario. They will make certain that this fiasco never takes place again. People that have never had a checking account won't be buying any small amounts of currency on speculation. The entire game is going to change.
So if you're waiting on the 2nd and 3rd baskets to make your money, you better have plenty of currency this first time around. Otherwise you won't have access to the 2nd or 3rd or anything else down the road.
That's supposing they even exist. Many of us believe all the relative 'goodies' will be going in the first basket. Sure, there will be others down the road that create a bit of noise but to hope for an ROI such as we're hoping for now requires an extreme amount of hopium.
Let's all hope and pray that January is OUR month. And if not, we'll continue to wait. After nearly a decade on this journey, what's a few more months.
Stay well, drink lots of water and use plenty of sunscreen. Especially on the beaches of Barbados.

Walkingstick: The privatization of the banking sector!
Author: Yasser incumbent
Usually go out to talk at the mention of the private sector from the big successes achieved by a well without the slightest doubt, but for any sector speak Uwe any country? Obviously, the answer will be in the developed countries and then developing where you can not compare the two systems totalitarian and private in this e stage after he was able to globalization, the heart of the equation in favor of the capitalist system.
If it has to be evidence of the above then you can imagine the size of the change in totalitarian countries on the impact of the transition requirements about privatization and the behavior of the capitalist, where the problem in our economy?
privatization have been many criticisms of which Hossaib including Mahoxhaib, Vsalhaa respect to the legitimacy of the rights of workers must be taken into account and Khaibha The sticks laid down by some of the failed administrations that have not been able to improve the conditions of its institutions, but Let me give you a simple example out of context This description is to get to the standard brings us closer to the feasibility of privatization or not.
In the seminar the Institute of the progress of the policies of development on the banking sector presented a paper bold managed the reality of the banking sector, which it described as Palmtkhalaf characterization, the focus was on the private banking sector and calls for a reformed so that in line with the requirements of the age.
In contrast calls for the paper to privatize State-owned banks, to have been affected, but how if prejudging own a failure of banks?
Therein lies the crux of the matter in the privatization process we starting rehabilitation of the banking sector and the development of his performance and then privatize it on according to the concept of the successes of the private sector in his administration.
We conclude from the above that initially supposed be the structuring of the government sector again after previous efforts failed until the rehabilitation of the private banking sector through the adoption of the principle of governance to assume such responsibility, the symposium diagnosed the issue very important to point out the entry Tarian to the profession, with the solution to this dilemma can be useless privatization economic beneficial.
