Iraq’s first Christian brigade to battle ISIS
Iraq's first Christian only brigade will be working with Peshmerga forces in fighting DAASH terrorists in the region....they graduated this week....the new brigade is called the Tiger Guard, formed out of remnants of the Assyrian forces first created in 2004 to protect area churches....many Christians fled their homes in the Nineveh province when DAASH overran the area last summer....this group has shown a keen willingness to not only train to fight and defeat DAASH but to also defend their homes in the future.
Central Bank: Calculation of customs ratios mechanism
If you've noticed a large group of CBI vehicles parked at the General Administration of Customs offices they are not seeking new jobs....they have been assisting the GAC in structuring the taxation system or tariffs on imports coming into Iraq....helping to determine what should receive a high ratio of taxation versus what kinds of commodities deserve lower ratios so as not to cause an eventual unmanageable burden upon the Iraqi citizens....
I agree with those that have posted about this article...there is a certain "past-tense" air to the last part of it....this appears to be a done deal....worked on in advance....sniff the spring air....is a rate change imminent.
Jubouri emphasizes the need for compliance with the legislation of laws that included a close political agreement
Speaker Jubouri spoke before the Parliament committee responsible for followup on the implementation and documentation of the political agreement.....he stated that political consensus to legislate laws effectively....
He listened to work of sub-committees and then took the time to stress the monthly reporting from these committees to Parliament is critical to assure paragraphs of each law is being effectively reviewed before it is presented before Parliament for reading and votes.....
He took the time to refer to the political agreement brought forth by PM Abadi requesting that there be active participation in the government and the legislative process that would bring forth effective laws for Iraq and its citizens.

The securing of Tikrit brings forth another cherry with it....the link between three Iraqi provinces, Diyala, Anbar, and Nineveh...with Tikrit back in the hands of Iraqis they are more able to move freely into some areas of Anbar in their anticipated move towards the liberation of Mosul.
Why Abadi said on Halabja today?
PM Abadi in a speech given to the residents of Halabja province and the city of Halabja, he spoke of removal of terrorist threats now just as it was talked of from back in the 1980's when Saddam's terrorist efforts wreaked havoc with chemical atrocities on the area....today though Abadi urged to not seek revenge...but instead...seek the defeat of terrorism once and for all so that its presence may not be repeated in the future....
He closed by speaking on pluralism as being a positive thing for all of Iraq, stressing that there be a fair distribution of wealth and services to all provinces.....perhaps a hint of what he knows to come.....the completion of the HCL....wrapped into the 2015 budget soon to benefit not just a select few but all citizens.
Diyala launches a plan to re-displaced north of Muqdadiyah in two months
The province of Diyala has announced a two-prong approach for the province to help displaced families....this includes further securing of areas to assure DAASH has no remaining pockets of authority and secondly to secure basic services for those displaced families.
The appearance of Mohammed Saleh attribute rising dollar prices to determine the bank's ceiling of Sales
Dr. Saleh continues to talk almost daily to the media to bring assurances that Iraq's currency remains strong....that it is capable of dealing with any size of crisis...that the CBI reserves remain at one and half times the currency in the country....he points to good policies in place within the CBI that will reduce the dollar exchange rate and limit future rises.
Legal representative: next week will see the release of grades in a number of ministries
There was some verbal wrangling in Parliament yesterday over agreements of House service....some calling for 10 years of service while others say it should be 15 years.....there is belief that a consensus will be reached by next week and a vote could go forward on grades of some ministries as early as the 16th.
Conscious / parliamentary delegation to visit the liberated areas in the coming days
A delegation of Parliament committee member and other members of Parliament will be making a trip into the Salahuddin province to tour some of the recently liberated cities and areas....wanna bet they get a warmer welcome than Maliki got.
