Not so much in the news this morning....but hey it is a Holy Day in Iraq....and maybe many are celebrating yesterday's budget victory.
US firm wins contract to train Iraqi air force personnel worth $ 9.5 million
Lockheed Martin will be training Iraqi air force personnel on a contract worth $9.5 million dollars out to 2017...training to be conducted in Arizona.....maybe at the same time they can teach us how to patrol and protect our borders....oh never mind.

Sad death toll after the passing of the 2015 budget.....the east side of Baghdad was targeted with these two bombings.
Najafi: bombings in Baghdad today announce the fall of terrorism and the security forces in front of Khosarath
VP Najaf believes the recent bombings within Baghdad spell the "fall of terror" against Iraqi security forces......hoping he is right and terrorist activities of this nature will be seen on the decline in the area and country.
There Are Assurances From The government To Implement Article 140 Soon
The leading Kurdish MP is saying there are indications that the government will soon be addressing full on the issues related to Article 140....he believes that relations between the Kurds and Baghdad are much better than with the previous government and this improvement will lead to resolution of the long standing issues around 140.
Abadi for Ngeevi: The government is moving to the implementation of the government program and reform state institutions
PM Abadi met today with VP Najafi, a Sunni, and discussed what is being done within the government towards the reconstruction of areas damaged by terrorist acts.....this includes Ninevah, areas around Ramadi and other areas....stating that money was put in the budget to help with these efforts....
also efforts to working towards reformation of state level authority is being rewritten so provide for National Guard units within the provinces to better deal with terrorism on the local levels in a more effective and time manner....
Abadi stressed the requirement of support from tribal leaders and membership in pushing DAASH out of all areas of Iraq so the displaced people may return to what is rightfully theirs.

So with the passage of the new budget in record time......Parliament is now urged to continue on this roll and begin pushing out more and more laws that will be a benefit to the Iraqi people.....meeting the issues of security, economics, and financial woes head on.
