_ All indications are that we are in a holding pattern, but why? The ultimate authority is Dr. Shabibi, he needs no one’s permission to revalue his country’s currency.
It would appear that he has capitulated to a State Dept level (or higher) request to hold off until the green light is given to revalue. Since the rest of the world’s currencies that are due to revalue are in the same boat with Iraq, the natural consequence is that they must wait as well.
There are security measures and countermeasures that have already been implemented that will limit the monetary benefit of the revalue (or reinstatement) of the IQD to a certain country in that region with a nuclear enrichment program.
It is, without a doubt, a priority of the highest magnitude. So how long will it take? Good question. Could it happen any minute? Yes, it could.
Look at it like this: if you performed a cost/benefit analysis with regard to the pending IQD’s increase in value then it would make no sense not to do it right now because Iraq has everything to gain from it and so does the rest of the world.
Experience dictates that whenever logic cannot be applied to a particular situation that calls for logic then there has to be some type of extenuating circumstance and this is never going to more true than it is right now.
If this does not line up with your favorite Intel provider, then logic would dictate that I did not get it from them (see how logic works). I am not here to debunk anyone.
Let me leave you with the applied logic of Sherlock Holmes. "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?”
