The central bank seeks to stabilize the Iraqi dinar against the U.S. dollar
Article that talks about the role of the currency auctions having in stabilizing the dinar against the USD.....as well as the CBI working to identify sales of foreign currency in the market.....
creating a balance between price and the bank in the local market....the Association of Private Banks is holding workshops in conjunction with the CBI that explains to the banks the latest developments and change with regards to the exchange rate of the dinar against the USD....
also of note here is that the CBI announced their reserves totaling $80 billion USD and now 80 tons of gold.

90% of the investment allocations for the previous year's budget was restored to the state
MP committee member on the Ministry of Planning is complaining that the proportions of disbursements from the 2013 budget were inaccurate....’
pointing out that 90% of the money budgeted for capital spending ended up being returned to the state and recycled into the 2014 budget.....they foresee the same thing happening in 2014.
Iran turns its back on Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki
What a turn of events.....Iran has turned its back on Maliki and is asking the Kurds to find a replacement.....there are reports that the National Iraqi Alliance is divided at this time which gives the Kurds the ability to ally with the al-Iraqiya List and the Ahrar bloc to remove Maliki.....
could they be singing Maliki's swan song.....and they are speaking of getting this done....even before the elections.

I would say the Kurds stand at a cross-roads in deciding do they want to put up with Maliki for another 4 years.....or do they go along with Iran and push for his expulsion from the government....’
they appear to have support from a couple of other blocs if they choose to seek it and make something happen even prior to the election....but would this throw Iraq into an even deeper turmoil than exists today.
