Good Morning Family.....here are the overnight news summaries:
Video .... In an interview, Dr. Iyad Allawi, Al-Arabiya -
In a video of Dr. Allawi, he states that violence in Iraq could cast a shadow over the elections in April, perhaps causing a delay.
He states that no one seems immune from the violence at this point in time.....that no one is currently attempting to talk with the peaceful demonstrators.
Allawi denied that he is leaving politics, confirming that his list is a national list that includes many areas of Iraq.

Central bank: direct a number of banks funded their accounts open for the purposes of currency auction
Starting on Monday a large number of Iraqi banks have opened accounts in the CBI for purposes of the auction of foreign currency.
Amid rising popular discontent "citizen" would be separated deputies supporters for "privileges" and "Liberal" prepared by the mere "adjustments"
I believe it would be safe to say that just about everyone in Iraq was disappointed with the specific outcome of the Retirement Law that granted pensions to the politicians and certain other groups.
There have been demonstrations and will continue to be demonstrations on this issue across Iraq and in Baghdad. To what end will come of this remains to be seen. I am thinking that the real focus at this point is to be on the budget.....
after it is passed....I believe the politicians will scatter to deal with their campaigns and we will see very little if anything from Parliament until after the elections....IMO.
We Did Not 'Lose' Iraq But it is America's job to help Baghdad beat back the new threat from al Qaeda.
This is a particularly long article but well written, not prone to taking sides, but openminded to all going on. It recognizes that the US should be offering help to Iraq in combatting al Qaeda presence in Iraq, and in particular Anbar.
The weapons and Apache helicopters are necessary to allow Iraq the ability to deal with this enemy....the enemy to the US as well. As we all are aware, Iraq holds much in the way of treasures...
.oil of course as well as gold.....things that the US is very obviously interested in...and needs to provide support today to ensure we will have a stake in the development of these resources going forward.
Peace Aaarac: Maliki agreed
This is a very difficult article to decipher, it appears there were many descriptive words used in the article that do not translate well making it difficult to understand. Here is my take on the crux of things....
.Peace may be close in Maliki's eyes...but the people of Anbar may be thinking otherwise...and are wary of his words......there have been many displaced families, and families who have lost loved ones.....
the people need to have Maliki and his government listen to them....to hear their concerns and needs and to take action.
