Post by Shade » April 21st, 2014, FRANK / NOVA your comments please: You'd said that the CBI wants our 000 notes back. We always thought that the CBI does not want our 000 notes and that they would be held at the central banks of the exchange country as a reserve currency or used, over time, to purchase oil.
Post by Memphis » April 21st, 2014, I have never seen anything to support the purchase of oil with dinar and it should be noted that over 50% of Iraq's oil exports today go to....China. Further, China holds a 1/3 interest in all major contracts for all the new oil/natural gas production in the US thru fracking.
America is now set to become a net exporter of energy (2014 if desired) so the discussion of IQD for oil seems to me unlikely and based largely on "dinar legend". Just an opinion.
Memphis Continues: As to being held by central banks and other large banks, yes that is our expectation. Why else would regulations be passed specifically designed to allow foreign currency reserves to be counted towards meeting capital reserves?
Fits to good to be coincidence (and much like procedures to allow capital controls, haircuts) such things are not made policy without intent to make "use" of them. Blessings, Memphis

Wells Fargo Buys Currency Wholesaler
The bank said it bought substantially all of the U.S.-based assets of Foreign Currency Exchange Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bank of Ireland.
The disposal represents one of the divestment commitments given by Bank of Ireland under its restructuring and viability plan which the European Commission approved under state aid rules on July 15 last year.

It helps us that don't have understanding to at least know where to get more understanding. Memphis, I read your posts that you had in the previous weeks and it was a lot to take in. I figure if I can only understand a small portion of what you posted that I am still much better off. I think i'll have to reread them again to understand more. :gracias:
Post by Memphis » April 21st, 2014, Thank you Ann for taking time to say such kind words. I seldom take time to respond but wanted to say that people with an attitude such as yours towards learning (and seeing the world as it truly is) have nothing to fear. When it is time to make a decision on a thing God will take whatever you have gathered (in our finite ability) and He will add to it such measure as is needed for that day's wisdom. Blessings sister

Post By Memphis » April 22nd, 2014, I am in some ways a selfish person and have a profession that does nothing but reinforce this bad habit but thru God's grace have been blessed to share many things here.
He has even put Nova in my path to encourage me not to give up for without his prompting I would have remained silent as had become my custom! When I consider all that has been added to the SC thread in 2014 it is clear to me that "Memphis" has had help from above as well! Allow me to share a personal story to explain.....
As to my "ability" to help you understand? For almost all of my life there was a barrier (I cannot define it fully) such that I could not express into words the many things that God allowed me to often see with much clarity.
I remember times that I would begin talking about a thing that I could picture PERFECTLY in my mind and then be frustrated as the words would come out all disjointed and cloudy, leaving me frustrated.
For reasons that suited His purposes, God chose to "unlock" this impediment a few years ago and ever since there has been a progression in how things just flow out of me. I can now express in written form EXACTLY what I see and can begin speaking on something and have the words scroll before my eyes in perfect order. And so it is God who should receive any thanks sister. Having THAT as my disclaimer? your most welcome sister. :handshake2:
When I came to KTFA 3yrs ago I came as a lurker as that is my preference. I listened and learned quite content to sit at the feet of others. All that has happened thru the journey has been thrust on me (along the lines of Jonah) and I am quite blessed to know that you have been blessed! Blessings, Memphis
note: to be clear, I am not even remotely trying to imply that all my thoughts are "downloads" from Heaven. If I ever hear a thing that is clearly from Heaven and meant to be made public? You'll know! :thug:
Post by Memphis » April 22nd, 2014, 1:00 am • [Post 118] anyone up for an inside joke? yes? good....
I often answer the phone when Nova calls (or vice versa) by referring to him as "J.P."
This was always thought to be a term of endearment by him along the lines of the infamous J.P. Morgan banking tycoon who helped build America as he also built himself a vast fortune. Well, last week I called him "Juan" and he asked "whats up with that?" to which I replied that is what I have meant all along as JP was actually short for "Juan Pedro".
He has yet to get even but I got people watching for it.... Blessings, Memphis

"It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." ~Henry Ford
The above quote is from a post made two months ago today (Feb22) titled "Henry Ford Said it Best". Remarkably less than thirty (30) persons read that post and this reminded me of my comment from last week: "there is much difference between waiting for an event and preparing for an event."
February's material was a lead in (an introduction) to all the 50+ posts that have followed. This post will be my last appeal to encourage others to join in on the study of our world and to begin to view it with a fresh perspective, seeing it (perhaps for the 1st time) as it truly is.
In short, I am offering an invitation to read this material as it's importance has not changed. Blessings, Memphis

Henry Ford Said it Best...
Those who have followed my posts the past two days will see a connection with this one. This blog from today seemed to fit well. Let me set it up 1st...
Ukraine is a large nation commonly referred to as the breadbasket to Europe and today, thanks to a tyrannical, corrupt gov't led by a brutal man, they have a revolution in full swing with many people being brutally murdered everyday.
I have hinted recently that the coming end of our nation's reign as an economic superpower might not be a picture of "Mayberry" despite our best wishes to the contrary. In defiance of history our central bank and Treasury are pursuing a monetary policy of madness even as there are fewer buyers showing up to buy our debt at auction.
This requires a larger percentage to be bought up by the FED until eventually even this will become untenable thus forcing interest rates upwards. This event along with our monies coming back home, as the world 's appetite for our debt dwindles, will both be inflationary.
Like any such addiction, the focal discussion at the G- 20 this week is the extreme pressure on the US FED to reverse policy and crank up the process of money printing. Most of the world's developing nations are equally hooked on the US drug binge.
They have foolishly offered their own bonds (debt) as the rush just felt too good and now they also fear the withdrawals (that must come) caused by keeping their currencies suppressed by the world's drug of choice....free money. IMO there is no way out of this and we will simply see things being propped up until the drug no longer provides the needed high.
You may recall also my opinion that watching Southern Europe will be a good indicator as it will likely be a reflection in many respects to what unfolds in America. Despite all the quiet, this region is facing some difficult times even tho the news of this tragic story is non-existent in our media. Rather than repeating myself tho let's read some sound thinking from Simon Black @ SovereignMan.com, a source that I regard: Blessings, Memphis

I need to caveat this missive and highlight that I am not a pessimistic person. I've traveled to so many places over the years-- well over 100 countries. And I typically visit 30-40 each year.
So I've seen first hand the tremendous opportunity that exists in the world, and the incredible way that human beings innovate to overcome challenges.
But the reality is that the world is on fire right now. In some places, like Ukraine or Thailand, quite literally.
In many others (like Japan, China, and much of southern Europe), there are heaps of smoldering embers beneath a continent-wide funeral pyre.
And in the Land of the Free, it's as if politicians and central bankers are smoking their back-room cigars at the foot of a mountain of napalm and thermite that grows ever-higher by the day.
If you step back and look at the big picture, there is cause for concern.
For one, the tiniest elite has achieved record wealth thanks to the endless money printing of central bankers. The richest 300 people in the world alone addded $524 billion to their fortunes in 2013, while billions of other people across the planet pay higher prices for food and fuel.
This gap between rich and poor has grown to its widest since the Great Depression... and I would argue in many ways since the feudal system.
Obviously this isn't a tirade against wealth, but rather the massively disproportionate benefits realized by a tiny elite at the expense of everyone else. And it exists because there is no separation between Bank and State. As Henry Ford said,
"It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
Well, it's happening. People might not fully understand how central banking works. But they know there is something very rotten in the system.
And they're starting to realize that it doesn't have anything to do with a single party, or an individual. Even in the Land of the Free, more voters than ever are disgusted by both parties and identify with neither.
This is fundamentally what's happening in Ukraine. People understand the system is rotten to its core-- that a band of criminals has taken control, and that 'elections' will only serve to put a new band of criminals in control.
It is precisely what will likely play out in southern Europe, where unemployment among the youth (i.e. those of revolutionary age) is astoundingly high. And potentially even in the Land of the Free.
It's an uncomfortable and contentious notion, I know. But this rotten system is fundamentally the same in the developed west. The only difference is there is even more debt underpinning it [in America].
Every living creature has a breaking point. It is in our instincts to rise up when threatened.
And rather than watching these kinds of events unfold on TV thinking, "That could never happen here," I would suggest looking at the situation rationally, and historically. Many great civilizations before arrogantly assumed the same thing.
So the question to ask is, "Am I prepared if this kind of turmoil ever comes to my doorstep?"
note: As I have said often, economic discussions such as these are not one dimensional! There are often much deeper discussions than the ones I provide to fully explain these processes. Tho my conclusions are sound and I stand behind them the important point that needs to be recognized is that there are many diverse forces at play that bring us to these conclusions.
Because of this and the ignorance that remains in my own learning curve you will notice that my comments are generally pointing to the long term as that is where I can speak with confidence. As one member posted to me last week, better to bring things of value than material that is "half-baked"!
I have found that nearly all near term discussions on these matters are generally rooted in having some type of product for sale and sadly the 1st product that they are selling people is fear. I sell....nothing and if you ever walk away from my posts feeling fearful please shake that off! If anything? Fear ignorance! Memphis
