[millionday] note -- this is the opening of another free zone -- for trade to be attracted --
[millionday] here we go -- The Minister of Trade Khairallah Hassan Babiker, on Saturday that the ministry delegation who is currently in Washington and discussed with international companies entering the U.S. mechanisms to Iraq.
Babiker said in connection with "tomorrow's Press," said that "American companies need to take a clear conception of the nature of work in Iraq and the possibility of pushing their money in investments in Iraq and this is what we worked on the clarification of the Federation of American business."
[millionday] note -- time to bring money and investments -- very nice
[millionday] He added that "U.S. companies and factories are all giant wish to open an official outlets in Iraq as an open market which only need to ensure that government facilities have workflow naturally and we will continue to discuss these facilities during a meeting with U.S. officials in Almazidinm this visit."
He pointed out that "Iraq and the United States aspire to increase economic interaction between them through to make way for private companies for economic exchange."
[millionday] obviously this is the move to formally activate the economic side of the strategic framework agreement --- very nice and huge for the progress we are looking for
[millionday] i want to address some news that is out there
[millionday] there was an interview done with Maliki that has quoted him in many news sources as blaming the attacks on the syria side on multiple countries in the region and he is saying they are being afforded by these countries -- he calls it war on iraq -- let me show you
[millionday] Saudi Arabia and Qatar are supporting militant groups in Iraq and have effectively declared war on the country, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said as nationwide violence left 15 dead Saturday.
The rare direct attack on the Sunni Gulf powers, with Maliki also accusing Riyadh of supporting global terrorism, comes with Iraq embroiled in its worst prolonged period of bloodshed since 2008, with more than 1,800 people killed already this year, ahead of parliamentary elections due next month.
The bloodletting in Iraq, which shares a long border with Saudi Arabia, has been driven principally by widespread discontent among the country's Sunni Arab minority and by the civil war in neighbouring Syria.
[millionday] let me just say that WAR is not just decided by the country and then moved on the next day -- it is an international decision and approval or its a problem -- a huge problem -- the way it is being stated is from an interview that was given by Maliki and is a direct accusation for the security and attacks that have been out of control on the syrian side of the country
[millionday] i know the statement is all over the news but war declared on the entire country is not what this is referring to at this point
[millionday] although his mouth could cause some problems for him -- this is a huge accusation
[millionday] this is all over the news and i mean everywhere
[millionday] see>>>> Maliki, a Shiite, has in the past blamed unnamed regional countries and neighbours for destabilising Iraq. But in an interview with France 24 broadcast on Saturday, the Iraqi premier said allegations he was marginalising Sunnis were being pushed by "sectarians with ties to foreign agendas, with Saudi and Qatari incitement". Referring to the two countries, he said:
"They are attacking Iraq, through Syria and in a direct way, and they announced war on Iraq, as they announced it on Syria, and unfortunately it is on a sectarian and political basis." View galleryIraqi Shiite mourners carry the coffin of a victim …
Iraqi Shiite mourners carry the coffin of a victim killed the previous day in the Sadr City district … "These two countries are primarily responsible for the sectarian and terrorist and security crisis of Iraq."
[millionday] i am not the one to say if they are supplying them or not -- nothing would shock us but the declaration of war just does not happen like this so --- to say that they are being supplied ---- we shall see because there will be an international investigation into the declaration i am sure -- those are harsh words and will not be taken lightly
[millionday] point being -- do not take from this that Iraq is now in a war
[millionday] and also understand the translations can also mislead us sometimes --- just know if there is war going on --- it would be much more international with the trade and everything else going on globally -- and war just doesnt happen -- it is a decision
[Imperator] We know Saudis were key members and indeed leaders of the 9/11 attack here in the US and we also called it an act of war.
[millionday] yes an act of war could be what he meant but a declaration of war on the country has not happened
[Imperator] True, we didn't declare war on Saudi Arabia
[Florida Country Girl] To be able to formally activate the SFA doesn't that require a reality rate
[millionday] Florida Country Girl yes it does it has to have a reality rate for fair free market trade
[wmawhite] Clarification.............Maliki is saying that the Sunnis are attacking Iraq via Syria, thus declaring war on Iraq.......correct???
[millionday] i am sure there will be a press release concerning this -- so we will see it in a day or so imo funding as well
[wmawhite] millionday ...........thanks
