[millionday] Iraq’s election commission said Saturday the results from last month’s general election would finally be released within days as nationwide attacks pushed this year’s death toll to more than 3,500.
The Independent High Electoral Commission said delays in the count after the April 30 vote were because of a litany of complaints, and said provisional results — which are subject to further challenge — would be published on either Sunday or Monday.
[millionday] note -- that is tomorrow or the next day -- whoo hooo
[millionday] Although results have not been released, political parties have nevertheless sought to build alliances in a bid to get a head start on government formation, with incumbent Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki seeking a third term.
Maliki’s critics accuse him of consolidating power and blame him for a marked deterioration in security in recent months. Nevertheless, Maliki’s political party is still expected to win the most seats in Parliament, despite probably falling short of a majority on his own.
[millionday] in other words -- maliki party is expected to have the most votes but they dont want maliki in the seat representing -- shocker
[slh5282] with the election results, the ISX activity, what is next the HCL becoming visible as well as the RV?
[millionday] the hcl will be funded and then will be seen -- so the world sales of oil will result in the hcl --
[slh5282] which we know is happening, correct?
[millionday] we had a report that told us when it was done and ready --- so it will be activated by the global sale of oil --
[millionday] which will be happening ?
[slh5282] the world sales of oil already happening with the turkey reserves being sold
[clay] arent the kurds selling oil now globally through Turkey
millionday] yes we know the sale of oil is happening by the report we had about Turkey having Iraqi oil being held and sold to the market from their country and it will also begin coming from Iraq itself to the entire globe
[kenster] Doesn't the HCL need the RV?
[slh5282] Millionday you are great
[daddy7] We have got be soooooooo close!!!
[millionday] kenster yes it needs international recognition for oil sales due to the price being global market prices
[quicktolegit96] Is the merry-go-round traveling at rapid speed now or is it my eye balls?
[millionday] quicktolegit96 there is a lot a lot of good news coming out
[quicktolegit96] lol ty just wanted to confirm that
[millionday] so many things are being done at the same time and it is very interesting to say the least that the regulations for legislature needs to be activated for the isx and also the conference with nasdaq and forex with so many experts and country representatives -- smile brb with more
[millionday] here we go -- so remember that they just called for parliament to have a 3 day session to resolve the budget -- well they have to have the budget in place in order to do all projects in the country
[millionday] so that is the importance of this report and the timeline we see in it
[millionday] Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed on May 13, 2014 with UNDP Country Manager, Adam Abdel Mawla, the programs and projects of the UN in Iraq.
The UN representative stressed that all development programs will be run, from the beginning of next month inside Iraq, not from abroad, confirming that the organization will open a big branch office in Basra by the end of this month, and aspires to open an office in the city of Karbala to cover the Mid Euphrates region, adding that the organization has an office in Erbil.
The two sides discussed the objectives of the development plan, which was set by the relevant ministries, for the period 2015-2019. They also discussed the relations between Iraq and the organization and the government’s keenness to provide the best means and facilities for the organization’s work to support national development projects.
[quicktolegit96] Is there a date for the meeting?
[millionday] no they have called it as a special session -- as in emergency and also this is the UN stating that they have to begin all their projects in country on the first of June -- so we know they have to be ready with budget done to comply to that order
[faith1] your ink sounded like Maliki is in,,,, we read today sounded like he is out,,, what is your Opinion please and thanks !
[millionday] the report i have is showing that the party has the most votes but the representatives do not want him to be the prime minister -- i have some more on it too
[radronin] MD- there are only 14 days left in May, sounds like they are stepping on the. Gas to get things done by June 1!!!
[millionday] i agree -- that puts some speed on things it seems
[larrykn] even if Maliki party wins the most votes doesn't the other parties have the right to get together and stop whatever he has plan and take over the government like in joining blocks
[ggrr] Its gonna be interesting if we DONT see anything in the next 90 days, what the excuse we will get
[millionday] larrykn his party has the right to put another person in as the representative of their winning party
[millionday] they seem to not want him in
[Crank7] So, if no budget by 1 June could they use DFI funds to pay for projects and programs?
[radronin] There is a lot of ink from his party saying "No third term".....
[millionday] no they have to have the budget money distributed by CBI and they have stated -- actually Turki has stated that no money will be released without the budget in place
[MsDiva] So if M is the next PM what will be the outcome for the country?
[millionday] the outcome would be sit-ins and citizen uproar imo -- i would have to guess and dont have the ink to really state what would happen but i would guess that many would have a problem with it due to the stall in the progress of Iraq and its reforms
[thefarm7] WIth the UN stating that they have to begin all their projects in country on the first of June, does Iraq have to have an international currency to do so?
[millionday] formally no -- they do not but the pricing index and the economic reform would say yes due to the many advancements that are being imported from other countries to have the most cost effective progress in these projects -- the infrastructure has to be as cost effective and so many of the projects have to be as possible –
it is economically ignorant to proceed without having the country internationally recognized by currency and also the global market entirely
