State law holds Chalabi responsible for any split within the coalition .. and citizen demands to replace his spokesman
Well now the State of Law coalition is claiming that Chalabi is responsible for the split in the coalition, splitting away from Maliki who is seeking a third term as PM.....it seems to me that one side is seeing and facing reality.....the other side...Maliki's side...not so much.....there are alternatives.....but Maliki and his State of Law supporters are not ready at this time to realize there is daylight showing through the cracks.

The Iranian Foreign Minister is on record as saying that Iran will support the choice of the Iraqi people for the role of Prime Minister....he goes on to say that Iran does not wish to see neighbors like Iraq in an unstable state....the Iranians claim when it comes to Maliki there is a limit to everything....they will not support any one candidate but instead will support who the Iraqi people choose.
Maliki nominate six people to disrupt the election of the President of the Republic
Maliki is said to have brought six names to the nomination table for the office of President of the Republic...six strong candidates that should prove to be disruptive to the nomination and election process....in hopes of causing the Kurds to fail to obtain their required majority and to impede the overall election process......keep a close eye on Maliki.....he is worse than a viper in the grass.....do not let your guard down while this man thinks he remains in power.

Net: economic damage and disruption in the event of legal integration of the current year budget with next year
There is still talk of combining the 2014 and 2015 budgets together but it is also believed that this would lead to economic damage....the emphasis needs to be on the 2014 budget approval....as soon as possible.

Finance: merging the budgets of 2014 - 2015 mean economic damage and an imbalance legally
Instead of saying they will merge the 2014 and 2015 budgets together, why don't they just admit they will not have a 2014 budget and get the 2015 budget process started.....it should soon be underway anyway.
Former U.S. Ambassador: Iraq needs a new prime minister
As one who carries no clout, but has Iraqi experience.....former Ambassador to Iraq Jeffery is saying that yes it is time for Maliki to step aside....he has lost credibility with most if not all Iraqis.....it is time to bring in new blood....the Kurds need to be allowed to be a big part of the government and in his opinion they deserve some concessions.....from the way they have been treated over the past 10 years....he even goes so far as to suggest that the US should provide limited strikes against the terrorists in support of the Iraqi Army, the Sunni tribes and the Kurds.

Please, go ahead and report on something we already know.....pressure on Maliki to step down......one day after death threats by DAASH terrorists against Christians living in Iraq.....many Iraqi's believe that Maliki has fueled the fires that have prevented reconciliation with Sunni tribes.....they believe there has been no attempt on Maliki's part to foster any kind of shared government.
Iraq delivers Egypt million dollars as a down payment of dues of Egyptian workers
Is it just me or does this reek of slavery.....one government paying another for the pension of their workers....to the tune of $1 billion dollars.....wowser.
Political analyst: 50 candidates competed for the presidency political pressure to achieve the interests
Incredible.....50 candidates coming out of the wood works for President of the Republic.....how many are just "names" to bring confusion to the process.....we have already seen that Maliki allegedly has added 6 names to the fray......but it does appear that out of all this two names rise to the top....Barham Saleh and Fuad Masum.
State of Law: Wednesday's session will be to ask the presidential candidates and not vote for them
Well it seems that expectations should not be too high for an announcement on Wednesday regarding a new President of the Republic.....at least that is the thought process held by the State of Law folks....put forth the names and that is all.....actually I tend to believe we may very well see this Parliament as being much more constructive in their role and fulfilling actions in a quicker manner than we have grown accustomed to by the previous Parliament.....time will tell us whether this has merit or not.....keep in mind too that this is State of Law who is promoting this idea....they are the very ones who have professed to wanting to slow the process down.
Presidency of the parliament seeks to amend the controversial paragraphs in the rules of procedure
This appears to be a good indication that we may have a clearly thinking Speaker of Parliament on our hands....he is wanting to talk about making sure the voting process for the President of the Republic is back on track and in compliance with the written Constitution for Iraq......the last election at least draws questions as to how things were conducted and this man wants to make sure they have things according to Hoyle.....wise choice I think on his part.
Corruption is Iraqi Army’s First Enemy
Let's see, we have corruption in government....a given.....we have corruption in banking, we have corruption in projects and rebuilding processes....why not have corruption in the military too.....what has been created has been an army of fortune seekers.....positions costing much money....upon attaining the position....the officers are told to extract money any way you can to pay back loans for the positions.....so check points become "private customs posts extracting fees from every vehicle that passes.....the army in Mosul was not trusted, was accused of extortion....many have religious interests in front of interests for their country....there are many reasons why the army in Mosul capitulated so quickly but lack of discipline and pride in their duty remain top choices.....along with massive corruption as well.
Displacement and Migration: the federal government to monitor very large amounts of relief more than a million displaced people
With Iraq faced with more than a million citizens being displaced from their homes and cities for one reason or another....the government is attempting to monitor how the relief is being distributed to these people.....there are attempts to bypass government bureaucracy to get aid to these large numbers of displaced Iraqi's as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Collapse of Iraqi security pays to buy real estate abroad to seek stability

Barzani: either a true partnership or the division of Iraq and the country will not return to the central government again
Kurdish President Barzani is stating that there needs to develop and exist a true partnership between Baghdad and the Kurdistan....or there will be a greater division than has been seen.....seems a veiled threat or opinion of independence to perhaps be on the horizon if the new government does not treat the Kurds in a fashion they believe they should be treated....concessions....concessions.....concessions.....IMO....the Kurds could be capable of making a great deal of money for Iraq if they were turned loose to govern more on their own....and if Baghdad would become more trusting of their efforts.
SHIPMENTS OF KRG OIL TO RESTART IN COMING DAYS
Only so much oil from Kurdistan can flow to Ceyhan Turkey before the tanks become full.....they must find markets for the oil or the pipeline is shut down....a steady flow of tankers at the docks would surely help the production situation for the Kurds.....it is not healthy to be stopping and starting production like this.....three new tankers are expected in the coming days to help ensure that production again gets going full tilt.
Sheikh Mohammed: will check the names of the candidates competing for the post of presidency
There has supposedly been 103 names submitted for the President of the Republic position.....names will have to be vetted for qualifications....as many are ordinary citizens who lack many of the primary qualifications for the position.....again....Wednesday is the key date being pointed to here.....we shall see what news it brings to us.
Kurdistan calls to postpone the hearing Wednesday
Conflicting stories exist on how many have applied or been nominated for the President of the Republic.....this article says 50.....and a Kurd MP is calling for a postponement until after the feast.....but keep in mind this in one individual making this request.....not Barzani himself....or some other high level authority from the Kurdistan.....I'm holding that the request is not likely to be granted...this process needs to keep moving forward.
