The Planning Minister says that Iraq is working towards new investments and investors that will help ease any pressures on the 2015 budget.....specifically talking to the Baghdad Provincial Council....talking about their crisis as it relates to the fight against terrorism as well as the need to reactivate stagnated projects from the past.....I would call this a new awakening.

New oil deal between Iraq and Kurdistan, Kurdish delegation to visit Baghdad for talks
Well it seems even with the signed agreements between the Kurds and Baghdad from last December they still are in need of meeting to further iron out details of unresolved issues and we are looking for a new agreement to be signed.....from the sound of things this does not appear to be a major roadblock for anyone as all parties are willing to meet and talk at this point....
There is some concern by the KRG that the Kurds are being overburdened with requests from Baghdad....that start with concerns of having to deal with SOMO for the sale of their oil....I still feel in light of things that an agreement between the two is likely very soon.....these negotiations I believe are going to be what walks them into the completion of the oil and gas law that we all know is high on their to-do list at the moment.

Yet another article, different source regarding the meeting of the three presidencies putting their heads together to promote the cooperative efforts of all political blocs in getting a variety of laws passed through Parliament in a fashion that they do not grow moss under them.....again it all points to cooperative efforts and unity by all working together as a cohesive unit.

The governor of Dhi Qar province is claiming 20 million in oil reserves within their province....potentially making it one of the richest Iraqi provinces...and at the same time he is calling for a refinery to be constructed at Nasiriyah that would be capable of handling 300 thousand barrels a day.....we want our piece of the pie he is basically saying.
Conferences of national reconciliation in Iraq without concrete results
PM Abadi continues to promote the implementation of a national reconciliation conference in Iraq sometime in February that would be co-sponsored by the UN....Abadi sees a certain level of energy with this effort that will help to bear weight on the current issues with terrorists as well as with the economy issues.....all three presidencies are supportive and promoting this conference to help tie the various religious sects as with political entities.

Budget to the Presidency for approval within 15 days

Finance Ministry denies sending the share of the budget of the Kurdistan Region
I thought I remembered that this issue with payment to the Kurds would come up again....now being denied by a member of the Finance Committee.....I would feel much better with some resolution here if it were the Chairman of the committee making the announcement.....but will keep an eye on this to see how it plays out.....IMO....if the Kurds weren't paid for January as was the original plan....I would think they should be up in arms about it.
Kurdistan: government is turning 583 billion dinars for the salaries of the staff of the province
So did you or did you not send money to the Kurds for January salaries? Good grief....get your stories straight.....this is not how you want to be seen running your business.
