Artist33: cnbc.com says..A few minutes before trading ended for the day, Cashin, UBS' director of floor operations at the NYSE, told CNBC's Closing Bell that "ordinarily Friday is the best day of the week—shorts tend to cover going into a weekend—but this is different because today we're worried about currencies. & nations use weekends to adjust their currencies. They usually do it on a Sunday when no one's around." As a result, traders wanted to reduce their risk and they did by selling….. so maybe Sunday will be good for us? Just popping in from work.

Sorry for probably sounding like an idiot here...but what is the difference Bw Ri/Rv??
I'm new to this all....thank u!
Dustibigalow: Hi Waiting3,If I remember correctly...RI is Re-Instatement of the currency to what it was before the US entered into war in Iraq...which I believe was around $3.22.
RV is Re-Value of the currency which would be more than the $3.22.
Toyvp: You are correct Dusti but to be exact it was 3.2169 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_dinar in the 80's and then was sanctioned when Iraq invaded Kuwait in the 90's but Saddam put an artificial price on the Dinar of 3.22
RD= Re Denomination
RI= Re Instatement
RV= Re valuation
IMO only.......... they MAY come out at a 1 to 1 rate just to suck in as many 000's as possible (remember Frank saying they want 99.9% of the 000's back), b/c lets face it there are alot of dinarians that will exchange at that rate just to get out of it, and the CBI will keep it at a controlled float for several months then RV there currency to the actual value (which is anyone's guess).

Wow...was I watching the same Bloomberg speech as everybody else? I thought it was very telling. She used word RESET multiple times, including "a reset of the global economy" and "monetary policy". I believe the sheer amount of times that the word RESET was used was not an accident, it was to get the world used to it when the "global (economic, currency,monetary) reset" is announced. What say you?
Frank26: Hmmm............ What say I ? The same thing I posted yesterday.
The World Markets are pulling back ....... They listened to Christine Lagar.

I noticed there are no auctions posted today on both of the Cbi English and Arabic sides.
I think this is unusual and breaks the pattern of an auction being done every Saturday. care to comment. Thanx.

WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM (LISTEN TO HOW MANY TIME LEGARDE SAYS RESET)
[.SEDNET1] A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed at home. He wanted her to see what he went through each day, so he prayed :- "Dear Lord, I go to work every day and put in 8 hours of hard work, while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please create a trade in our bodies".
God, in His infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home ..... picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to draw money to pay the electricity and telephone bills. He drove to the electricity company and the phone company and paid the bills, went grocery shopping, came home and put away the groceries.
He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. By then it was already 1:00 pm, so he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. He rushed to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home which he had to sort out in a gentle 'motherly' fashion.
He set out cookies and milk and got the kids organised to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and was able to watch a bit of TV while he did the ironing. By then it was 4:30 pm, so he began peeling potatoes and washed greens for salads. He prepared the chops and fresh vegetables and got everything ready in time for an early dinner.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9:00 pm he was exhausted and although his chores weren't finished for the day, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaining. The next morning he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said :- "Lord, I don't know what I was thinkin
I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, O please, let us trade back!" The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait 9 months though, because you got pregnant last night!!!"
