MRP] Just got back from the main Atlanta branch of Wells Fargo. This is not the
regional branch, but one of the banks where we've had an account for awhile.
[MRP] Wanted to share with y'all how we were able to get introduced to one of the
private bankers from the Finance Department, how we interviewed him (and not
vice versa), and how we walked away today with assurance that we will be taken
into the regional Private Bank when our investment comes to fruition.
[MRP] We never mentioned the words, "dinar" or "currency," one time.
Tolen's going to help me talk about this.
Tolen] I had indicated that we had made an investment in someone's company that looked like it might be bought out... made it clear I did not want to go into

MRP] Tolen Yep, he said that. The real private bankers have a private bank where they have an office at the regional bank building.
MRP] Tolen And we never gave details.
Tolen] About halfway through our visit he's like "about how much do you think it might be?" and I said "maybe 5 million or so" and he's like "OH! I didn't realize it
would be that much!"
[Tolen] He said right at the 5 million mark is where the game really changes and they really need to help you with entities like trusts etc...
[MRP] He asked us two questions. Tolen mentioned the very last question, right before we left.
Tolen] txbornsoonerbrd You're welcome. We just played it very close to the vest with him... not like we were trying to impress him.. just making a simple inquiry
MRP The first question was to find out what kinds of investments we liked. Tolen was able to talk about his self-invested 401k and his like of aggressive investing.
I talked about voting with my dollars.
MRP] Since I've done joint ventures before and Tolen is familiar with his Dad's
business, we knew that business people aren't required to give bankers, etc. a
lot of details. So, we didn't.
MRP] divinegrace Yes and were referred on to the private bank at the regional bank building. We'll post in the forum later tonight.
Tolen] divinegrace It was not the Private Banker, it was their Financial Advisor at
this big branch... he indicated there were NO real private bankers at this
branch, but at his OTHER office at the WF Private Bank, he could introduce us to
the Private Bankers when we needed them.
Tolen] divinegrace It was one of WF's larger branches
We opened a couple of Non-interest bearing accounts there recently and casually
mentioned to the banker opening the account that we might be coming into some
money at some point... he said "let me introduce you to the financial advisor
Tolen] Later that same week, the financial advisor (whom I spoke with for 5 minutes at the bank) invited me to lunch or to just stop by his office... this was that
meeting. I kept it very casual...
MRP] nunya Tolen and I make a good team because he's friendly and looks wealthy. I'm very detailed and get people to give me the information I want without giving them any fairly easily.
[MRP] we've had lots of business training over the years and are used to working as partners.
Tolen] destiny123 He indicated when we actually had need of it, he would put us in touch with the right people
MRP] destiny123 Think it's better to have a relationship with someone at the bank, at least a personal bank. If you can, a financial department person. Then, when the RV happens, you can phone and make an appointment to come in.
