[Precious] June 19, 2013, 7:16 a.m. EDT Ex-Fed Governor Meyer: Obama has fired Bernanke Stories You Might Like NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama's remarks this week about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke staying longer than he was supposed to are telling for Bernanke's future at the Fed, said Former Federal Reserve Governor Laurence Meyer in an interview on CNBC Tuesday. "He essentially fired Ben Bernanke on the spot and gave him a fairly tepid testimonial afterward. It's time to really now focus on who the next chairman might be," said Meyer, who was a Fed governor from 1996 to 2002. Later in the interview, Meyer said his remarks were a bit hyperbolic, adding "the president said he stayed longer than he wanted to and was supposed to. What does that mean? I'm just befuddled."
Precious] NEW YORK (CNNMoney) It's B-Day. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke takes center stage Wednesday. At a highly anticipated afternoon press conference, he's expected to discuss when the central bank could begin tapering the pace of its bond purchases. The Fed's bond-buying program has been a boon to equity markets, supporting U.S. and global stock indexes and driving them to recent record highs. Any comments from Bernanke suggesting that the program's end is near would likely lead to significant declines. "Bernanke has to address asset purchases and every nuance in his replies will be seized upon by markets," said Deutsche Bank economist Jim Reid, in a research note. Bernanke is scheduled to speak at 2:30 p.m. ET, following the conclusion of the Fed's latest two-day monetary policy meeting.
Society » Please note everyone....the 30 point move on the IQD that Frank is talking about is of the market rate.......1250 to 1220....
This is important as many articles have stated that it is important to control the market rate.....it appears it is being "controlled"....
The CBI rate remains 1166....
Walkingstick: What, those articles... are not telling you...It is imperative (among other factors) the market rate... must be contained, prior to... the (RD) being released. It can not be released, until... they have proven their ability in maintaining the exchange rate.. In short: IMF/WB aside... First and foremost, to the Iraqis themselves.. They, are (as in any re-denomination) the populace, the deciding factor in the success or failure of the process... They must instill confidence in the currency, and... the ability of the Central Bank/government in maintaining the exchange rate.. Once released, albeit (1000-1).. the transitional rate comes into play.. once again, they must prove the ability in maintaining the adjusted exchange rate... for, an undisclosed period of time...
Barloame: The Obama's 100 Million Dollar Week Published June 18, 2013 FoxNews.com
President Obama’s trip this month to Africa, with the first family tagging along, is projected to cost taxpayers as much as $100 million, sparking criticism as the federal government scrimps along during sequester-related budget cuts.
Among the related costs will be fighter jets; hundreds of Secret Service agents; a Navy ship with a full trauma center; and military cargo planes to bring 56 vehicles including 14 limousines and three trucks loaded with sheets of bulletproof glass to cover the windows of the hotels where the first family will stay. The details were reported by The Washington Post, based on a confidential planning document.
The trip to sub-Sahara Africa runs from June 26 to July 3.
Late Tuesday Night:
tbone] I had a meeting with investors last night. I was told their source of money was a payout of a "program" from 12 years ago that they had never received. Their payout was confirmed a week ago Monday and was put into Escrow and they were told it would be released to them between the 17th of June and the first of July. Wow!! and these guys know nothing about currency or global resets.
[subtle] a few connected with one of the PP's had friends who received the intial small payments in DEc...but what wasn't reported in the news was that alot received letters stating they would receive large payments in the future
