Apaloosa I think we are on the down hill slide.......it will be interesting for sure. With the 1/15 deadline/date for the SDR going into effect and Cristine LeGarde speach anticipated for 1/23......things have got to be all down hill from here.
Apaloosa: - as I understand it in order for the SDR to be in effect they have to have a revalued currency.....time will tell. CL is rumored to make an announcement of the GCR on the 23rd, however, she is not expected to mention the Dinar specifically.
[dessybug] I have a question for the room.... if the cbi is not showing rates as I have seen.... what does that do to our dinar.... and at what rate do the dealers know to charge?
[coastal girl] Dressy bug I don't know but I am hoping they change big for us...today or tomorrow .....and it's not the birthday thingy over there lol
[patcat151] dessybug , the rates are blank, meaning there is an adjustment coming the only time the rates go blank is just before a change.
[dessybug] patcat151 yes I agree... but the dealers are still selling.... how do they know what rate to use since the screen is blank?
Read More Link on Right
[patcat151] dessybug , I have seen one or two go blank for an adjustment and change. Never all of them.
[patcat151] dessybug , I don't think the dealers will ever stop selling. Just a change in rate will be applied.
[patcat151] If you are a currency dealer you will always buy and sell currency. Just a change in the rate will be in effect.
[dessybug] patcat151 me either but its been over 24 hrs now and all still blank... and yes I agree they will never stop selling either.... but still with the screens blank how do they know what to sell at?
[patcat151] dessybug , this is where the higher levels of banking and xchange take place. It is sswtill happenng on very high secure levels. We don't see it because we are the lower tier.
[patcat151] They are still doing this, just not on a public level is what I am trying to say.
[dessybug] patcat151 I would think we should see this very soon... how else can they keep selling/buying with no rate.... just a thought..
[patcat151] dessybug , When you have that much power, anything can happen.
[dessybug] patcat151 lol you got that right
[xyz] Federal Reserve Said to Probe Banks Over Forex Fixing The Federal Reserve is investigating whether traders at the world’s biggest banks rigged benchmark currency rates, raising the risk that firms will be penalized for lax controls as regulators look for wrongdoing. The Fed, which supervises U.S. bank holding companies, is among authorities from London to Washington probing whether traders shared information that may have let them manipulate prices in the $5.3 trillion-a-day foreign-exchange market to maximize their profits, said a person with direct knowledge of the matter, asking not to be named because it’s confidential. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-13/federal-reserve-said-to-probe-banks-over-forex-fixing.html

Quick overnight update on news and views:
Maliki is seen as taking a different stance with Sunni's....one where he will listen to them for a change....again this seems to be occurring after some US pressure was applied to him.
Don't forget that the UNSC Sec Gen ki-Moon will be in Baghdad today talking about UN support of the crackdown on al Qaeda as well as the latest on the UN efforts with Syria. Sounds like a terrorist discussion on all fronts.
The CBI site remains unchanged, now into its second day of the same. As has been reported in the past this continues to be of interest.
Latest regarding oil....the Kurds are now claiming that the Ministry of Oil is using the old regime laws which they claim is not constitutional...meanwhile M has told the Kurds...you put oil in the pipeline...I will cut your 2014 budget funding.
Well, another oil related article states that the Kurdish PM Barzani is headed to Baghdad to resolve the oil issues NOW....there seems to be a certain "resolve" here that is hopefully comforting to all.
Speaker of the Iraqi House, Najafi, is headed first to Kuwait to participate in the Arab Parliamentary Union, then on to DC to talk about the Anbar situation with US officials.
Maliki seems to be adamant that he will not send troops into Fallujah, tho they are poised on the outskirts of town. He does seem to be listening to DC's efforts on this, for the time being.
Don't forget that today is a holiday in Iraq.
So, with all that....here we sit and wait....but as we wait, I urge all to prayer, there could never be a better time.
We have a CC tonight, should start at 7:00 pm EST, don't be late, it promises to be some interesting news I think.

Late Sunday Night:
[flafellow] The fat lady arrived at the RV Theater in full costume. She exited the Bentley stepping carefully onto the frozen ice walkway. Her high heels perhaps did not contain enough platform to properly support her girth producing a slight wobble still she started down the walkway with great command stepping over frozen cigars and currency wrappers.
A uniformed doorman smiled obligingly as he opened the great theater doors with his hand tucking his hat neatly under his arm for a lady of such importance. She walked past the now empty ticket counter with SOLD OUT above its glass seemingly nodding with an approving smile.
This was a night to remember... Walking down the outer hallway down toward the stage she was escorted by two dark suited well known agents of professional protection. She stopped and stood near the curtain on the grand stage. Hearing the applause on the other side of the barrier of hope.. it was time. The massive red velvet barriers began to fold back. The moment of truth was here. The grand lady cleared her throat and took in a deep nervous breath... and.... to be continued...

You know that tingly little feeling you get when you like somebody? That’s common sense leaving your body!
I don’t like making plans for the day, because then the word “premeditated” gets thrown around the courtroom.
Dear paranoid people who check behind your shower curtains for murderers……if you do find one....what’s your plan????
I need to quit saying…” How stupid can you be” Too many people are taking it as a challenge!
