_Dec 14 7:28 PM [poppy3] ok just got in the house and have had several calls throughout the day from sources. Things have still not changed except maliki did not stay the extra day he planned he actually did not even get to make the trip to fort bragg like had been expected.
It apears he got handed his hat after the chamber meeting. It was rediculas how their dignitaries had nothing to offer the companies as far as enticement to bring investments into Iraq. It was obvious they had planned to have more to say than they did. Maliki and all his cronies must have repeated the same statements 25 time each. Poppy3
Dec 14 7:31 PM [OfCourse13] poppy3 So...does it no longer look good for the 15th?

_Dec 14 7:33 PM [poppy3] i truely think it was a embarrasment to all of them after that meeting. I think the writing was on the wall that they had to be more prepared and have more to offer than just saying we want you to come and invest.
Rv was never mentions , their new budget was never mentioned, rate of inflation was never mentioned, financial benefits where never mentioned. Sefety and security mentioned very little. Like i said they had zero to help entice a company to invest in Iraq. They need the rv- period. Shabibi knows it and after that meeting i am sure Maliki does also. Poppy3
Dec 14 7:33 PM [poppy3] he at this point is desparately hurting their people and their economy as far as international trade. Poppy3
Dec 14 7:35 PM [RickeyT] poppy3 I guess "we got oil" doesn't cut it...
Dec 14 7:35 PM [mona lisa] That's sad for all involved. I hope they get their act together soon.
Dec 14 7:36 PM [poppy3] the sources today stood solid on the 15th tomorrow being the main target but also agreed with me that that the 15th is the last day of significants for a rv till jan 1 when their budget which contains rv rate is scheduled to be released. Poppy3
