sczin11: NOW WHAT?
chattels: "The decision provides for the abolition of all additives by the House of Representatives at the federal budget with respect to the functions of the Central Bank of Iraq Law".
chattels: So much for the viability of the Iraqi budget law, eh ?
sczin11: PLEASE EXPLAIN IN LAYMAN TERMS....
chattels: Kurds have abandoned their production quota and the quota on sales of currency is unconstitutional.
chattels: Iraq is a virtual free for all.
sczin11: SOUNDS TO ME LIKE MALIKI CONTROLLED JUDGES, RULED AGAINST GOVT, IN ORDER TO ATTEMPT TO CONTINUE TO CONTROL MR

sczin11: ISNT THAT THE PURPOSE OF 3 READINGS AND A VOTE
sczin11: ARE NOT CHANGES, ADDITIONS, DELETIONS PERFORMED AT EACH STAGE
sczin11: ‹@chattels› I KNOW THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES, JUST DONT SEE HOW THIS COUNTRY COULD/WOULD WANT TO RUN AWAY FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

Kipling
chattels: BUT, we really do not know whether this turn of events is good or bad, much less, triumph or disaster
chattels: fate is fickle ..............
chattels: it operates by, in, through, and sometimes in spite of "us"
chattels: I still believe and I still hope.
chattels: if it be insanity or foolishness then so be it
chattels: the ruling is similar to the " technicality " used by the court in it's decision on the term limitations for the Prime Minister
chattels: in that case the Court found that the bill / law originated with the Parliament and not the Council of Ministers as provided in the Constitution
chattels: in both cases it was arguably the " will " of the Parliament that the law be enacted
chattels: arguably the " cap " on sales was not fully implemented and the effect of a reduction in sales volume was not helpful to the value of the dinar
chattels: and so, now, What ? , as sczin11 asked.
chattels: I am sure that the gurus will weigh in and tell us good and expected this turn of events was for us and how they knew all along
