11:50 AM [soonerpatriot] Folks - the bank packages originated as an effort to limit or eliminate the bank spreads normally attached to any foreign currency exchange. Once the banks realized the amounts of money to be deposited, they began to compete with each other in what they'd offer...
11:52 AM [soonerpatriot] ...These packages are nothing to be feared, but are like two or three businesses competing for your business. I haven't viewed these
packages, but I would think they would be more like an ad selling you on what
they can offer above and beyond the competition...
11:54 AM [soonerpatriot] These are a way of leveling the playing field for all of us.
We aren't all whales, yet because of these packages, we will all receive whale
perks and rates. This is good for us and should not be something we look at with
fear of what the trick is. The bottom line is - they want our business!
11:57 AM[soonerpatriot] The banks release these after the RV and no matter how much we ask Cap to review them, he can't provide them, because the banks haven't released them. The banks won't and can't release them until after the RV. So those who wish to throw tantrums demanding to see them, it won't work.

wade] soonerpatriot It's also anyone's perogitive NOT to use these packages, and to opt instead to negotiate on one's own behalf at the exchange.. Just sayin.. The
choice is ours to make.. Pointing out the obvious...
[soonerpatriot] wade Exactly and they may be a starting point in negotiations with a bank. These are just preapproved rates and perks that you know you will receive. Anything else you might be able to negotiate on your own is gravy. :-)
[SassyDinar] soonerpatriot - Cap1 has said there are two pkgs: Bank Rate Code and Bank Packages, Does the Rate Code include us in a group which has a pre-negotiated rate? I know the Bank Packages are all the perks but I am confused as to the Rate Code package.
soonerpatriot] SassyDinar From what I understand, the bank rate package is a minimum rate that you will receive. This is where the bank spreads are addressed. I have no positive proof of this (haven't seen packages), the banks are greatly reducing or eliminating the spreads completely.
soonerpatriot] SassyDinar Some of us who don't have megabucks in the dinar couldn't command elimination or lowering these spreads on our own, but by being in a group with large amounts behind us, we have a better ability to negotiate elimination, just like the whales.
[SassyDinar] soonerpatriot - So the Rate code we get here will include us in a "group" for the pre-negotiated rate right?
soonerpatriot] SassyDinar The second package will also be interesting, because that contains all those perks that the deep-pocketed people have enjoyed for years, such as financial advisors, high-limit debit cards, and other perks normally reserved for the rich and famous. We're not famous, just rich! :-)
[soonerpatriot] SassyDinar The rate code is a pre-negotiated "Group" rate!
[SassyDinar] soonerpatriot - Thanks, after all the questions yesterday pertaining to bank packages, I got confused, no one came out and explained it completely.
[mimi48] soonerpatriot I believe the "code" is what they code by when we arrive at the bank so they know we are a part of the "package" that has been pre negotiated with that bank.......the rate will be the RV rate.....the Perk Package will be just that, perks we may get, i.e. addtl ins, black cards, etc.
mimi48] "code" is what they will go by".....
soonerpatriot] mimi48 Sorry-got bumped off! You're right the code puts you immediately in a separate group. The perk package is a starting point of what the bank is willing to provide, no questions asked or negotiations on your part. It's all
Dinar Recaps Note: ALL "bank packages" will be posted on the Dinar Recaps Blog page AFTER a RV (do NOT email us asking about them). They will also be in our Daily Email Newsletter and also on our POST RV page. We are considering closing our Email List after a RV, so join now while you can. Our POST RV page has information on how to join.
