Sunday Funnies....I mean News Summaries and Commentaries
Central Bank gives authorization for banks approved closure of its offices
Makes perfect sense to me.....the CBI authorizes banks to close and roll up the sidewalks at the first sign of security risks....in other words...hot spots....in Iraq....makes me wonder what hours they will actually keep....now we are open...now we are closed....put your money in and shake it all about....but honestly a good thing....they need to be more protective of their customers deposits.
Iraq crisis: US confirms air strikes on Isis near key Mosul dam
It is wise to re-take this dam, as quickly as possible.....before these terrorists can create more problems with it....
at the same time....guess we have a world leader yet wrong again that the ISIS terrorists have been taken care of and there is no need to provide any close ground support while they continue to move from village to village creating more genocide that, we know not to be happening because our leaders and media say so.....guard your mind closely.....for it gets contaminated so easily.....after all talk is cheap....especially when protected by a safe haven resort.....the infestation of Iraq must be dealt with....fumigated.
State law: to resolve differences on the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region after the formation of the government
This is known in some circles as being a "lame duck"....."passing the buck"....."not taking responsibility"......and for many long years it has been a trademark of Maliki....to not respond to problems and issues at hand....just keep pushing it off...putting it off and hoping it will go away.....well my prediction....what what happens when a new government is formed....watch how quickly things turn around....and watch out Mr. Maliki....who has your 6 now?.....how does that feel for you now?
Infallible: we seek to form a political and security councils and senior delegation from Kurdistan will visit Baghdad to resolve outstanding issues
Basically, President Massoum has a dream....he has a plan....he understands what hasn't worked in the past 8 years and his aim is to fix it.....to bring Iraq back to the international table, to afford Iraqis the pride they deserve, to be seen as an international partner in the world...he also will work incessantly with bickering forces within Iraq to bring unity for all Iraqi citizens.
Infallible for the Middle East: the next month will conduct meetings between Iraqi officials and the Saudis
Improving Middle Eastern relationships is a goal of President Massoum....starting with Saudi Arabia as early as next month during UN meetings....he points out the common issue they face is terrorism and it must be dealt with, not just in Iraq but all across the Gulf States and the world.
Newspaper: crude oil from Kurdistan up to Croatia
Kurdistan crude oil has arrived at a seaport of Croatia to be unloaded to a nearby refinery....at this point it is unclear which tanker this is that is docked in Croatia....but it would appear they have an all clear to offload their oil.
Abadi citizen demands to allocate $ 500 to each family of oil imports
In reading junk like this....can you see why what Frank said was true....that no one wanted the position of Prime Minister.....they are going to be threatened on so many fronts...the least of which is Maliki....any and all other Parliament members will be banging on Abadi's doors "demanding" this or that....instead of giving him the time to sort things out and be allowed to rule and run things as he now sees fit for the good of Iraq....it is much like all the phone calls, emails, text messages, and PM's that Frank receives on a daily basis.....they are mountainous, and makes it difficult to deal with the real issues of the day....Iraqi's need to grab a breath and let their government unfold and see what transpires once they are approved instead of making senseless demands today and muddying the waters.
Abadi decide to reduce the number of ministries and reduce the salaries of parliamentarians
So it is being reported that Abadi intends to reduce the Council of Ministers to 15 and at the same time reduce the salaries of members of Parliament....note too that this comes from FaceBook and of course that makes it instantly trustworthy....the article is claiming that the National Alliance is up in arms....something smells here.....just not high on my believability meter at this point....that could change though.....it does appear that Abadi is trying to cut frivolous aspects of government and government spending....and of course those in power will not like hearing of such.
Abadi: We will reject any candidate to fill the ministries unless a competent and integrity
Abadi is seeking competency and integrity in his new ministers....wow that rules out about 50% of all global politicians....there must be a steady stream of "sorry you aren't qualified" letters going out from his office....I applaud his tenaciousness and wish him well in seating his government.
An invitation to London .. closer to dialogue .. and more abused with crises in Iraq
Apples and oranges.....bananas and mangoes.....don't be comparing Abadi to Maliki.....even though they may be from the same party....just as one should never compare obama to former President's Kennedy or Roosevelt....let Abadi establish himself and his government and give them some time to breath.....let me be quick to point out though this article starts by talking about the "departure" of Maliki....he hasn't gone anywhere yet...just keep that in mind.
State of Law and the National Alliance reject any preconditions for the formation of the government
I find it hilariously interesting that even the State of Law and the National Alliance are attempting to throw their respective weights around regarding other blocs attempting to put "preconditions" on Abadi's new government....they too really do not have much say in this in this process.
Iraqi political parties confirm their intention to sue al-Maliki and his aides inside and outside Iraq
The group getting in line to sue Maliki is growing, at alarming rates it would seem....now a number of Iraqi political parties are jumping into the fray....mostly to bring suit against what Maliki's security forces and army have done in a number of areas of Iraq.
Abadi reject any candidate of the political blocs do not have the competence, integrity and experience in the formation of government
Just thoughts that happen to float out of my mind as I read this today.....Abadi is looking for those who have competence, integrity, and experience.....makes me think of a number of Kurds that may fit this description....not sure if many of State of Law cronies would fit the bill for sure.....again....more power to him for having these morals and goals for seating his government.
After commissioning Abadi form a government .. Ghaidan flees to Jordan
The lights come on and the cockroaches scatter.....I can say that being from Texas.... .....the commander of the ground forces has fled to Jordan....doesn't seem to bright this one.....seems Interpol could reach out and tap him on the shoulder and escort him back to Iraq.
Know the details .. big scandal for the Iraqi prime minister .. reveals Alantprobol after arrest them!
Interpol is going to be sought to help bring Iraqi politicians to justice....back in Iraq.....so it would appear that many have fled the country, some even coming to the US....perhaps Interpol would be interested in rounding up some of our own politicians as well....one would think that these people would have enough sense to find a country that would make extradition difficult and move there.
Meeting of leaders of the National Alliance, the absence of Maliki
Why pray tell would Maliki be included in this meeting.....he has nothing to do with the naming of the new government he is merely the caretaker PM at this point.....sounds like it was a worthwhile meeting.
Keywords: National Alliance does not compromise and not in the record concessions negotiations to form a government
The National Alliance will not negotiate on forming the new government....stating that everyone should be subject to constitutional and legal frameworks to ensure a strong government that will move Iraq forward....they will be looking at names being submitted by other blocs for roles as ministers.
Zebari: constitutional article 140 will not be canceled unless a constitutional amendment
