The world needs Heroes
Remember when we were kids….and when we were asked…”Who do you want to be like when you grow-up?
We could rattle off a long list of men and women with amazing, and wonderful qualities of courage, honesty, integrity, guts, brilliance , Truth, Justice and the American Way.
We had John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Superman, Captain America, Winston Churchill, George Patton, Martin Luthor King and we had another type of hero who inspired us with humor like Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, and Jack Benny.
Brilliant scientific heroes like Einstein, Tesla, Pasteur, and political heroes like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan
I look around at the world today and wonder – Where did all the heroes go? Who is left for our kids to look up to and say “ I Want to be like them when I grow up?”
Granted those historical heroic figures are still there ,but in our modern day schools it seems like their amazing contributions have been watered down, reduced to a couple brief paragraphs or “politically corrected “ into insignificance.
It makes me so sad to look at our world today at the self-serving, lying politicians, the corporate greed, the wanton violence in all communities worldwide, the way our police, military, the middle class and lower class citizens are treated everywhere worldwide like serfs or peasants and I yearn for the heroes of yesteryear.
A world when a man’s word was his bond. Where lies in politics were a horrific thing and had drastic consequences……where the word “impeachment” was to be feared and justice was swift. Where our wonderful military and police men and women were admired and respected by all.
Today, medical and scientific advancements are suppressed and deemed “illegal” worldwide so greedy pharmaceutical companies, lobbyists and corrupt politicians can make more profits while common people die daily and pray for a miracle.
Our world is sad…our kids have no heroes…..and they really need them. Heck we older folks need them.
Maybe we are the “Heroes” we are waiting for today. Maybe this time our votes will really count. Maybe this is the year where justice will return and a balance will be restored in the world. Maybe this is the year where the suppressed medical cures and technologies will be public for all.
Maybe this year a miracle will happen once again……so please, make your vote count…..Please don’t just look at the R or D, please don’t look at skin color or gender…but really look at what these people want to do for our country and the world……look at who can really change everything that is broken in our politics, legal system, banking system, and world relationships.
Yes, people are all flawed and nobody’s perfect……but heroes can rise from flawed imperfect people when you least expect them. And yes…….it’s not too late for our Pledge of Allegiance , our Flag, and our Country to mean something amazing and to be great and respected once again, and maybe we will all be silent "heroes" as soon as this RV/GCR is released and we can all make the difference in our communities that we are longing to do.
