Just thinking out loud and maybe this is a Captain Obvious question but wouldn't you want the RV to happen before elections so you would appear to have had something to do with it so the people would want to RE-ELECT You!?
If you were one of these politicians, oh say like Maliki and Goi? Just thinking on what you said last night Frank. without the rv seems like they would all be running on all talk no show like ours.
Why in the world would you not capitalize on something so great and powerful as this RV( if the ones in control allow) it would be a no-brainer! If I were an Iraqi citizen and no Rv before these elections to help make their life better I would say let's put someone new in there.
These guys have had all this time to make change and we have only seen more of the same.
Just a thought. Makes no sense whatsoever to me that if the US or whoever is in charge says your good to go now it's just timing well what better bargaining chip than something like this to change the lives of the people voting than the RV (aka:to Iraq better improvement in their way of life) doesn't get any stronger persuasion than that in my opinion.
I think if they wait till after the elections to do RV it will be like what is the point? Their selling point will be gone,c their window of opportunity to look like they had anything to do with it will have passed.
Anyone else have thoughts on this they would like to share? I hope to better understand what Frank was trying to say last night and I really hope this was along those lines. But something I can't wrap my mind around is will it really have that effect if they wait till right at election time? lexi
XenaWP: Perhaps its a calculated move to wait until after elections because those in charge (U.S.) don't want Maliki to benefit or get credit.
BulldogFord65: Hello Lexi:Your logic is sound, if the politicians in Iraq were in control of the monetary reform, they would want to leverage it for their advantage, yet they cannot.
IMO, it proves that no one in Iraq is in control of the monetary reform -- a part to play, yes, but control, no.
IMO, the elections may have no bearing at all on the decisions of those who are in control of the monetary reform. Governments can be toppled, presidents, PM's and parliamentarians can be replaced at any time.
IMO, the ones in control are driven by their own personal interests and agendas, and the election may or may not be an event they choose to leverage.
IMO only, the elections are not necessary to their plan because the people at this level of global kingmanship can change a regime at any time.
IMO, if they use the election as leverage, it is only because it suits their purpose and agenda, and has little to do with the real politics. Only my opinion and thoughts.
