11-22-12 LDJ: "Iraqi citizen suffers from its national currency shattered." They wont exchange in dollars the value of the dinar will be increased so they will get dinars for any dollars they have and their dinars will be worth more than toliet paper if they Revalue.
The thing I see (guessing a little) in this article is that the smaller denoms are tearing from just daily use, the shop keepers and housewives etc are possibly tearing the dinar to make change in the streets.
And then when they go to the bank the bank will deny the paper due to glue and tape and overall bad shape of the paper note in front of them, and the bank should be gathering the bad notes to destroy and get out of circulation.
The people are finding ways to get by and make up for short comings of the monetary policy and government. Eating is a strong motivator.

LDJ CONTINUES:They need to revalue the currency and go to the next step in their monetary policy plans, Shabs had it tee'd up to go (even though he was maybe part of the problem as well). They are in a worse state now than they were even 6 months ago, and if they don't begin the process as they enter into the new year they will continue to spiral into more and more turmoil and confusion.
Totally my opinion but if they go backwards now the Democractic expierment in Iraq very well could begin to fade quickly away along with many hopes and dreams of this investment in the near term. I for one am praying for the leadership in that country, they definitely need it.
11-22-12 Jeepguy: "Informed sources said that "the survival of the high price of the dollar compared to the price of the Iraqi dinar is intentional it has joined parties from inside and outside Iraq." Oh heck that last line: The art of stealing Iraq`s money. If they would now put that rate into effect they would get their good money back in a hurry.
Just saying, seems like they were saying the low rate and auction of money is creating a profit for the money traders during the down fall of the euro and dollar. In the last few years from the depressed economy but now we are slowly getting back to worth.
They now are crying about how bad their dinar is worth. Depressed dinar ---> shoe is now on other foot so to speak. Back to getting the dinar rates apportioned to what they are really worth. In the range of at least .05 to 1.00. Somewhere in there, just my thinking.
11-22-12 Polishfloridian: Many of us are like that beautiful thoroughbred waiting in the starting gate, with a jockey on our back, trying to calm us down while we are "chomping at the bit" , nervously waiting for that bell to ring and that gate to open so we can do what we were created for, run like the wind!! The hardest part in this race is the "waiting." ALL we want is a chance, an opportunity to succeed, to ride with the "big boys."
We simply cannot understand why that gate hasn't opened yet. We have NO CONTROL of when that gate will open, but we can control our strategy when once it does open.
Even though that gate has not opened yet, we still have to be focused on the "race" or else it will be all for naught. Strategies like "What will my pace be," "I am in this race to do my best, not in this race just to beat everyone else" etc.
It is more important what we do once that gate opens then anything else. Review your "strategy," ask A LOT of questions, listen, read, learn and you will come out a winner in the end. Enjoying the ride with y'all.
