KJWayne at February 4, 2015 at 9:24 PM If I take out all of the KID STUFF in this then I get that the window is between the 10th, which is when parliament returns , and the 15th, which is when the budget hits the gazette to become law.
The CBI should start the rate change to the dinar and the government should start funding the budget because of the new laws . Did I miss something?
Tlar That's what I think also KJ and it is what I have been seeing since I mentioned "sometime in the next 12 days" about a week ago. The backstop to me is the actual disbursement of funds from the budget, 1166 or a new rate.
Tlar Continues: The problem with making any kind of a finite prediction on a specific day is the potential for Iraq to drag their feet or something which might cause a day or two delay.
They always seem to take a longer to finish something then even they themselves think even if it violates the constitution.
Even this Abadi government as fast as they are going, has pushed their own predictions and deadlines back on many issues because of its wanting to appease all sects. But they are right to do so.
Unity first, RV second because without unity I don't believe we will see an RV. They have to keep everybody on the same page going the same way if possible.
No matter what, we should see the end to this period very soon meaning whether or not this time we will see the RV, or we will know that all miss-judged and we will be in for a much longer ride..
I think it is a sign that every time we think we are getting close, tempers start to flare and words and opinions of each other get much tougher and sometimes degrading.
In the last few days on these boards and other boards I have watched many voicing intolerance of each other.
Remember, no one is right or wrong until this is over. Everybody has an opinion and like in any unresolved situation, there will always be folks who try to lead in a vacuum or void.
I am one that thinks Iraq will kill the momentum both in and out of their country if they don't finally do it now. That is just personal opinion based on the fact that we are all tired due to the length of time it has taken to get to this point of hope again. I believe this view is shared by many.
I also don't believe they can go live internationally without an international currency.
I have always believed that, as I know many of you do. Personally I think we are there and it is time.
Thank god we don't have long to see if this is correct. We have finite backstops, the Gazette and the funding which will close this period of hope one way or another.
We should know our answer on the day the first dinar is dispensed from this budget if not a few days before. tlar
