Donnie: Kurds have made a new move to take charge of Kirkuk’s last remaining institutions that are under the control of Turkmen appointed by Baghda
Donnie: KIRKUK, Iraq - The Iraqi government summoned Kirkuk’s police chiefs to Baghdad for investigation after Kirkuk’s Kurdish Governor Najmaldin Karim sacked the local Iraqi intelligence head, Brigadier General Orhan Khalil, whose unit was accused of killing civilians.
A dispute erupted between the Shia-controlled interior ministry in Baghdad and the Kurdish governor this month over who is in charge of the security forces in the province of Kirkuk following a clash between Iraqi intelligence forces led by Shia Turkmen and Kurdish civilians in Kirkuk. - See more at: www.middleeasteye.net/new... http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/kurds-baghdad-scuffle-control-oil-rich-kirkuk-550887657

plowboy: ‹@chattels› aren't they getting the punch list done?
chattels: Kurdish leaders say that they will never hand over Kirkuk to Baghdad’s control since Kurdish fighters have secured the area themselves.
“The disputed territories are all in safe hands now,” said Sirwan Barzani, the general commander of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces on the Makhmour-Gwer frontline.
“These areas are safer now, so why give it back to them?” he said. “If they want a referendum by the constitution [on the future of Kirkuk], they are welcome. If not, we are there,” he told Middle East Eye. - See more at: www.middleeasteye.net/new... http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/kurds-baghdad-scuffle-control-oil-rich-kirkuk-550887657
chattels: ‹@plowboy› What punch list is that my friend ?
chattels: Kirkuk’s citizens were supposed to vote before 2007 on whether the city should become part of Iraqi Kurdistan, according to article 140 of the Iraqi constitution. However, the referendum was never held and article 140 expired after not reaching its deadline of December 2007.
As a result, tensions continued between Baghdad and Erbil over the province. - See more at: www.middleeasteye.net/new... http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/kurds-baghdad-scuffle-control-oil-rich-kirkuk-550887657
chattels: The expiration of Article 140 is an Arab position / argument, so that may suggest some bias to the author's perspective.

*SCZIN11: powers of provinces
chattels: ‹@*SCZIN11› I do, i have confused the two.

chattels: Hawijah goes unmentioned often, but it is another area still controlled by DAESH
chattels: The town lies north of Tikrit on the road to Mosul.

chattels: With the price of oil depressed, production levels become all the more important.
chattels: it is interesting to note that no matter the price of oil over the years that the budget projection compared to revenues has remained about the same year in and year out, but the shortfall this past year has been significantly greater.
chattels: Many economic and oil related articles seem to focus more on production than price which may tell us something about the manipulation of the market price and suggests that the " world ' of oil is more concerned about being able to depend upon supply and it will take care of pricing.
chattels: We are significantly disadvantaged as news watchers in a world that lacks transparency on so many levels or I am just stupid.
*SCZIN11: we know only what the bankers and market manipulators want us to know
*SCZIN11: you are far from stupid my friend
chattels: ‹@*SCZIN11› So, do we abandon the news as some in here and elsewhere suggest ?
whitelions: no no no
*SCZIN11: we are far too involved, and often try to apply logic and common sense! we are not learned or trained in manipulation- so yes, we are at a disadvantage
[09/19/2015 09:50:42 AM] *SCZIN11: you see, manipulation is exactly what we and the world are waiting for in iraq. corruption is synonym in banking world for manipulation
whitelions: how can we do that it's not like iraq is the only country in the world that puts out news that is censored every country in the world has their own spin so they can control what the people think it's only people like us that read it all or most of it that will see the differences
*SCZIN11: cleaning up manipulation that is
chattels: I actually do try to apply critical and discerning thought to what I read, but at the end of the day we may be fooling ourselves to think that we can really know anything. How do we really know whether and what article or part of an article has any truth ?
whitelions: and I don't mean just us in this room I and I know most of the news people have people that send them articles and so we could not do this without them to
chattels: For example. Are there 4 million displaced people in Iraq ?
whitelions: ‹@chattels› how we know is by haveing read and still read how the news is reported
*SCZIN11: ‹@chattels› that is why, imho, it was so important to see vintl agencies giving deadlines and making threats
chattels: If so, then is it not fair or accurate to posit that there are areas of Iraq that people feel unsafe and is that lack of security not attributable to DAESH ?
whitelions: we know how each paper reports whos opinion they push the most
*SCZIN11: and in comparison, to other laws, from start to almost finished, look how fast AML was done
*SCZIN11: what does that tell us?
*SCZIN11: if iraq wants something, they know how to get it done
chattels: ‹@*SCZIN11› Political resolve is often borne of financial necessity for sure, but " brinksmanship "does not make for a " predictable " future does it ?
chattels: Iraq CAN make it, but WILL they ?
*SCZIN11: predictable is death n taxes
*SCZIN11: money is power- thats enough to keep me ebullient
*SCZIN11: follow the money
chattels: I am accused of " doom and gloom ", but would I continue to be invested if I thought that ultimately Iraq could not succeed ? NO.
chattels: But, I am not consoled by " happy talk " along the way.
whitelions: lol lol
whitelions: they're are a lot of us that don't care for the happy talk
chattels: This speculation is a long shot, IMO, and I think that everyone should be aware of that.
*SCZIN11: you got to be in it, to win it! All it takes is a dollar and a dream!
whitelions: but the doom and gloom is a bit much sometimes to
*SCZIN11: ‹@chattels› I respectfully do, and have always, disagree!
chattels: I just think that people should not be encouraged that there is any certainty at the end of the day. Do not invest what one cannot afford to lose.
luckyinkentucky: wellsaid Chattels. There is no guarantee
chattels: I appreciate and value different opinions, those present at this time, but I am very antagonistic to those who are dismissive of the opinions of others and so absolutist in their condemnation of alternative views.
luckyinkentucky: amen, You can only learn with an open mind
chattels: Especially if those opinions are based upon anonymous anecdotal information.
whitelions: I agree you have to be open to different opinions or you will never see the true value of all the news but that true in every facet of life
chattels: I very much doubt that anyone so very well connected would be in a dinar chat room.
whitelions: lol and that's the truth
*SCZIN11: ‹@chattels› unless they had much to gain
luckyinkentucky: I have been ridiculed by many for my simplistic views on the dinar gaining value. There is no magic button
chattels: ‹@*SCZIN11› ' splain please ?
*SCZIN11: pumping for someone who might be in the know, for the reverse scenario of what we are looking for, in the shorter term
chattels: that sounds complicated for my mind
chattels: Is it not possible that big money and power may, at the end of the day, cheat us out of our hopes ? that such power may benefit from the IQD, but that we be excluded ?
chattels: we are peons hoping for crumbs from the table i fear
chattels: sounds conspiratorial i know
luckyinkentucky: anything is possible but i believe a currency will have the same value for all
chattels: ‹@luckyinkentucky› I hope and like to think the same, but I still wonder :)
chattels: Tune in tomorrow for another episode of " As the dinar world turns " :)
luckyinkentucky: I do too
chattels: 9-19-2015 Intel Guru TD Very few comments from my Kurdish friend to speak of these past many, many months ( as always treat all as rumor and please due your own sound diligence ) BUT there is growing sentiment and outcry by many economists and political folks to DEVALUE the dinar here in the short term.
Continued lagging of the price of oil and worldwide glut supply coupled with trade imbalances are posing this move to occur.
Rumor has it that the Abadi administration in sync discussions with the CBI will act in this proposal in the next couple weeks , probably beginning of October. Rumored rate will be about 1500-1600 / dollar . If this happens that will be the rate at least for the next 6 months or so.
chattels: XXX : We should remember that's what this is - an investment. The big problem is timing... it's not coming fast enough for most people. I'm with you there. However, none of us control the timing. It's not a "guaranteed winning lottery ticket" - it's an investment.
BB824: people trying analyze guess state or know what's gonna happen is fun thou
BB824: 99.99% of the people in this investment never knew anything about how this could happen and still really dont.....except kaperoni . ..lol
BB824: the currency banking world is the most private guarded thing there will ever be started way back by the Rothschild
BB824: And by trying to read or guess into what and how they will bring it live is fun to watch
