chattels: 10. re-evaluation of the Iraqi dinar: The central bank spent $ 5 billion a month in defense of the exchange rate (123 000 versus $ 100) This means with a reserve of 50 billion by the steadfastness of the dinar against the dollar will continue to be at best to the middle of next year.
Especially with the scarcity of oil revenues, and they went to the oil companies operating in Iraq and finance the purchase of heavy and light weapons and aircraft operations.
What makes it imperative for the government re-evaluation of the Iraqi dinar is reasonable and the fight against financial and political corruption that is going on the auction of foreign currency for years.
chattels: How is the foregoing reasonable or possible ?
chattels: 5 Billion DOLLARS per month !

MichelleL: it could mean they can afford to wait another 10 months before doing anything??
chattels: I read and understood some years ago that the Central Bank of Iraq was subsidizing / defending / sustaining a value to the IQD and that it costs them money every month, but obviously the costs of doing such has increased, but how / why ? The market rate is not that much different.
chattels: I am either a monumental dumb - arse or there is significant information missing. [ I am not inviting an opinion poll upon my IQ - :)
MichelleL: lol chattels

Gg604: We are hearing that finally Iraq and the coalition forces are making great progress fighting ISIS. They do not tell us everything but one thing we know for sure is the goal is NOT to let ISIS DAASH reoccupy any ground already taken. As you know in the past once an area was cleared, ISIS simply worked around and out flanking the Iraqi and Qud forces reoccupying the area. This time this will not work.
They are boxing them in and either they surrender or experience their final fate of death. This is all good news and what we need to hear. Another notch on our to-do list thus closer to the needed security stability as needed for the currency reforms.
Doug_W: U GO Iraq

An Iranian delegation is due to depart for Vienna and if all things will be on the right track, in a very strong possibility, the next Monday will be the day when the JCOPA will be ratified by the European Union, Salehi said, adding that ratification of the JCPOA means that both sides have officially accepted it and will declare their approval.
He told reporters on Thursday that immediately after ratification of the JCPOA, the European Union is due to officially announce termination of sanctions against Iran and at the same time the US president will terminate some sanctions and suspend remaining sanctions against Iran.
The Nuclear Deal includes several stages, including its early attainment by the delegations in Vienna in July, its following approval in a UN Security Council resolution, adoption and implementation. The first two steps were taken in July. Monday is the date that has been mentioned in the deal as adoption day.
The exact time of implementation of the JCPOA will be specified in due time and this depends on Iran to carry out its commitments to make changes in Nataz and Fordo which are to be accomplished based on a 45 to 60-day of Roadmap, Salehi said. In relevant remarks on Tuesday, Salehi announced that the nuclear agreement between Tehran and the world powers would be fully implemented by the end of 2015.

chattels: ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - The chairman of the security committee of Kirkuk Provincial Council is rejecting an idea to send Hashd al-Shaabi to the oil-rich, disputed Kirkuk province. Azada Jabbari told Rudaw on Thursday that the Iraqi government should send weapons to the Peshmerga;
not bring in the Shiite militia, also known as Popular Mobilization Forces.
“Instead of sending Hashd al-Shaabi forces, let them send weapons to the military force that had been protecting Kirkuk, (the Peshmerga),” Jabbari said. The security chairman said they will not agree on sending Hashd al- Shaabi forces or any other forces to Kirkuk except Peshmerga.
“Every area of Kirkuk province will be protected by Peshmerga, and Kirkuk does not need any other forces,” he said, adding that he has not and will not waver from the hardline stance. Iraqi officials have held recent talks about sending Hashd al-Shaabi to the Kirkuk province, but Kurdish officials have strongly rejected the idea.
