Prime mass change Hoshyar Abdullah: There Fearful of repeating what he did Abadi al-Maliki on entitlements Kurdistan region
It would appear that some Iraqis are beginning to fear that PM Abadi is the same as Maliki with his intentions of not providing salaries to the Kurds....they have little patience I would say....I believe Abadi is honest in telling the Kurds we have no money at this time....please be patient with us....but I can understand the Kurd position as well...if you do not pay salaries we do not flow our oil....as a result they continue to meet to work out the differences.....they are not far from an agreement.....because they are not far from having the budget published I believe.....just keep in mind....the BEST is yet to come.

Oh woe is me says the boy who kept swinging at the nest of hornets.....you are not going to like the outcome....this particular battle was so close at hand that it made things difficult to impossible for International Coalition fighter jets to intervene without risk to the Peshmerga forces....they time will come though and strike they will....with deadly precision....you may run eventually but you cannot hide.
Parliamentary Finance check reasons not to publish the budget in the Official Gazette
So the Finance Committee is looking into why the 2015 budget has been withheld from the Gazette.....guess they don't listen to the CC's we have....maybe next week will see the Gazette explode with news of the Budget.....all in good time....all in perfect time.....as Laws become ready to be announced....so shall the Budget.
Parliamentary financial ply News: government wants to increase the central bank sales over 75 million dollars
First you ask why the Budget has not appeared in the Gazette....then you....yes you the Finance Committee admit that you want to "CHANGE" what is written in the Budget....why did you let it get put in this way in the first place if you don't like it....come on...get it right the first time.....besides if $75 million per day won't work...who is to say that $100 or even $125 million will work....and who are you to butt into the business of the CBI an independent entity.....leave them alone if you know what is good for your future.
Kurdish lawmaker reveals new meetings between Baghdad and Erbil to discuss the obstacles to the oil agreement
Yes two meetings took place on Sunday between PM Abadi and PM Barzani....with both walking away more or less empty-handed....the one with no money and the other with no oil.....both admit and understand the financial crisis that the state of Iraq is encountering today.....and are willing to be patient as they work through economic issues....however, the oil sits in the Kurd region and apparently will not flow until there is some evidence of salaries being met by Baghdad....in reality they are not far from a final agreement....it's just money....money that can't be paid at the moment as the hiccup.
Parliamentary Services: Cork telecommunications company did not pay $ 400 million to state
In my best Gomer Pyle like voice....SHAME....SHAME...SHAME....Cork Telecommunications has been caught not paying fees to the Iraqi government.....fees that total $400 million dollars....this at a time when the coffers of Iraq are pretty well dry so every little bit helps and is sorely noticed when it comes up missing....Cork isn't the only one not paying either....other telecom entities have held back payments as well it seems.....they will all be under the scrutiny now going forward.
Kirkuk, Baghdad calls for 900 billion dinars of petrodollar
The province of Kirkuk, through its governor is making noise to Baghdad that they are owed approximately 900 billion dinars related to the established petrodollar payments...this is similar to what Basra is owed....without this money they have crucial projects that have been shuttered because of the inability to make payments....demands of money keep being heaped upon Baghdad....where does their "out" lie at this point in time....I think we know.
Kurdish leader: the Baghdad government commitment to the implementation of financial agreements to Kurdistan
Well one Kurdish leader sees positive things on the horizon it would seem...even as the Sunday meetings did not bear fruit for either side....it is acknowledged that troubles face Baghdad at this time, but the Kurds see promise as the three presidencies met yesterday in an attempt to resolve outstanding issues....remember these presidencies represent a large share of the political clout within Iraq....their being onboard with actions going forward is seen as a positive view towards any further negotiations.

Special / prepare a new draft law of oil and gas to activate the role of "Sumo" in oil export
It appears according to a source within the Oil Ministry that the SUMO entity within Iraq will play a large role in the new oil and gas law that is coming to the world soon.....they will be overseeing all exports of Iraqi oil, international contracts as well as becoming the Iraqi representative with OPEC....how does this sit with the Kurds in particular....is this part of the cage rattling we hear from them over oil issues and salary issues for the Kurd employees....is there a trust issue between the Kurds and SUMO....there has definitely been in the past....and old wounds sometimes are slow to heal....they mention monthly reporting in a subtle way too where the Kurds are wanting quarterly reporting....a hiccup between the two that needs some ironing to get the wrinkles out.
US troops arrive in eye-Assad base to participate in the battles of al-Baghdadi
Well 1,400 US Grade A troops arrive at the al-Assad base, with one thing in mind...taking the fight to ISIS...with another 4,000 awaiting the order in KW to join the fight.....just waiting on the signature and head nod......wondering though, can he pull the trigger to make it happen....ISIS needs to be squashed and we have the force to get the job done...once and for all....just watch for the head nod.

Commercial markets in Mosul to suffer from the spread of coins damaged
Keep in mind here Family they do not use the word 'coins" as we do meaning metal currency...they are talking of their 250 and 1,000 denomination bills as becoming worn and ragged because of the city being overtaken by ISIS last June and not much moves in or out of Mosul since then.

The Cabinet is considering the transfer of powers to the provinces
PM Abadi held court with his ministers and provincial leaders pointing out that he is ready to move ahead with the decentralization of the state government which will transfer powers of most ministries to the province and give them more local power to bring to the aid of the Iraqi citizens....this will not only improve services but will provide more power locally to the respective government entities.
Economist: There is no truth to the allegation of Baghdad for lack of financial liquidity
An interesting claim by one Iraqi economist that they are paid for their oil revenues in USD which is true...then that is converted into the Iraqi currency.....the dinar.....true.....however....not all oil revenues have been converted....at least until recently....if in fact it has even been changed....
The oil revenues were funneled into the DFI funds to be paid to KW....those were maintained in USD for those payments....now things could have changed and Iraq may be receiving these revenues today in IQD...in fact they are likely doing this because of the recent agreement with KW to postpone final payments to them...around $4 billion I believe until the beginning of 2017....so are they having a liquidity problem....
Are they broke....well it is for certain they are not making the oil revenues they were before August 2014.....upwards of 50% less....that has to hamper their economical models and payment strategies within the country...payments to provinces and such....opinions as with armpits.....most everyone has at least one.....some are more stinky than others.
Experts: delay salaries will be reduced purchasing power of 25% and deputies describe it as "illegal"
So says one member of the Finance Committee that payment of salaries every 40 days will weaken the purchasing power of the nation and is believed to be illegal.....this member of the committee claims there was no discussion within the committee of such action, claiming the government led this decision.....the issue at hand seems to be will the citizen receive 30 days pay at the 40th day....or will they receive 40 days pay for that time period....another issue is that PM Abadi's office has released a statement that claims the message released about the 40 day pay period being an emergency does not represent Abadi's thoughts....and on go the discussions and opinions of what is right versus wrong with the decision at hand here.
Iraq intends to bring together "OPEC" countries to control oil prices
Oil Minister Mahdi for Iraq intends to pull the OPEC countries together in an effort to restore lost trust in an effort to bring about a stop gap against falling oil prices....he sees Iraq as a centrist nation...being that of the communicator to all other nations and working on strengthening relationships with all to better serve the world fold......this sounds like talk coming from the new emerging leader....the new oil king....not just some third string wannabe. Mahdi's long term vision appears to be outside of OPEC with all oil ties forming a strong tributary making or keep oil as a strong player in all political factors.....Iraq is OPEC's number two oil producer behind Saudi Arabia....and is on their way to becoming an entity to be heard.
Finally finished playing catch up....again sorry these are late in getting out....especially to Frank.....enjoy. Aloha Randy
