_I haven't been on the boards too much for a while, but I was a little surprised at the large negative consensus that has evolved here all of the sudden.
I don't pretend to be all knowing on what's going on, but it seems we all go from RV bliss to total dispair in a heartbeat. Maybe its time to just step back and review the big picture again from a distance. Iraq is loaded - oil, natural gas, diamonds, gold, commercial minerals, etc. The rest of the world is getting more desperate by the minute.
Iraq has been fighting much like they are now, since FOREVER. This is no big deviation from the norm. General Patreaus, who gave every indication he'd known what was going on all along came, he saw, and then he LEFT. You might also notice that after reviewing the evidence he did nothing to obstruct the proceedings against Hasheimi. Could it be he was already quite familiar with the evidence and the situation before we even pulled out? The Iraqi security forces rounded up their list of suspects in record time? I tend to think they had help from us in doing it.

The CBI has already said they are gonna remove the three zeros, their gonna due it by the end of the year and their gonna do it after the troops leave. I have yet to see one credible source to even suggest they have suddenly changed their minds. They just sucked in another trillion IQD. That much less liquidity. Auctions are selling more and more dollars to make up for that. This dirty float is for one and only one reason, the RV, and they are proceeding just exactly like they have over the past 2 years. They have stated this process is "irreversible."
Look, maybe our timing is going to be temporarily sidetracked by the violence, but THE BIG PICTURE REMAINS COMPLETELY UNCHANGED. You need to get off the intel crack pipe. Just watch closely what is happening and let this play out. And if you've lost your faith in the IQD, that is your right and you have the opportunity to sell your dinar back to your respective dealers at 80 cents to the dollar if you want.
As for me, I think we're still good and I'm in for the long haul. I hope you are with me.
