chattels: Abadi announced on Dec. 27, that his government has started paying salaries to Kurdistan public servants. The first round includes salaries of water resources personnel, to be followed by salaries of employees of the education and health sectors.
He accused Kurdistan authorities of providing fake employees lists, which required double checking and correction.

chattels: His political opponent, former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who cut the salary payments in 2014 over oil disputes with the Kurds, now said he supports paying employees in Kurdistan to restore stability there.
“It is shameful to punish the Kurdish people in order to garner more votes during elections. Such an approach contradicts ethical, national and legal norms,” he said, calling for direct talks, even though many saw this as a move to spite Abadi. “The Kurds will return to being partners and brothers in this country,” Maliki predicted.

chattels: Although rumors abound that the airport ban will soon be lifted, well-informed Kurds doubt that. An adviser to the Kurdish prime minister’s office told Al-Monitor on condition of anonymity that he expects the problems to remain until the Iraqi elections in May, as Abadi needs his anti-Kurdish policy to keep ahead of his rivals.

xyz: Ending Immunities Granted to the Development Fund for Iraq and Certain Other Iraqi Property and Interests in Property Pursuant to Executive Order 13303, as Amended.
blackgold: Executive Order (E.O.) 13668 amendment to Executive Order 13303 isn't necessarily a good thing. it gives them more power over certain funds but who knows what other crap they may have slipped in there to get the amendment. 13303 gave us the right to buy property like an Iraqi citizen and hold currency. Hope that doesn't change
blackgold: They can't even pay the Kurds and now they have access to more funds. Well we shall see
blackgold: It was their money anyway and their country
blackgold: This is the bottom line-- I don't care what denominations Iraq uses, if it isn't at least on par with a USA dollar - 1 to 1, it will really serve no purpose
Doug_W: @blackgold I tend to agree
futuremoney: @blackgold I gree
Tebow: @blackgold they have to have LDS if they are 1 to 1 duh!
blackgold: A duh
blackgold: They need LDS maybe you mean LSD,lol
tman23: “The time has come for [Abadi] to be forced to treat his Kurdish citizens with the dignity that they deserve,” The Washington Times report read. “The time has come for [Abadi] to be compelled to engage in meaningful dialogue with the [KRG].”
If Abadi’s failure to talk to the KRG continues, and if he “refuses to comply by the Iraqi Constitution, then any demands for the implementation of the [independence referendum] are more than justified.”...... ABADI'S ACTIONS MAKE ZERO SENSE......UNLESS ..........LOL !!!
blackgold: Iraq is mainly islamic and the Kurds are known to be Christian or mixed, they aren't going to give the Kurds crap. End of Story
blackgold: Stop hoping
blackgold: Islam is a perverse spirit and they will never be satisfied
Tebow: @black gold lower denomination LDs duh!
tman23: @blackgold .......NO CHOICE ......FOLLOW CONSTITUTION ..........OR WATCH KURDISTAN BECOME A SEPARATE STATE.....
futuremoney: @tman23 agreed
Tebow: only trouble with that thinking is Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Syria don't it to become a separate state. They can block oil shipments and how can they support themselfs.
forest54: The Iraqi Ministry of Transport: There is no validity to the news of extending the suspension of international flights at the airports of the Kurdistan Region On Thursday, December 28, 2017, the Iraqi Ministry of Transport denied reports of extending the suspension of international flights to the airports of the Kurdistan Region for two months to February.
forest54: A spokesman for the ministry, Salim al-Sudani said in a press statement that “what was published by some media to extend the suspension of international flights to airports in the Kurdistan Region to February next, shame on health.” He added that “the atmosphere at the two airports closed to another notice,” noting that “the reopening of the airspace or not is the powers and functions of the government.”
The management of Erbil airport has reported in Twitter on Twitter that the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, decided to extend the suspension of international flights to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports in the Kurdistan Region for two months, that is until 28-2-2018, while continuing domestic flights. For his part, said the Minister of Transport and Communications in the Kurdistan Regional Government Mouloud Bauh Murad, in a statement to the network Roudao media,
“The decision is the same but was extended, and unfortunately we were waiting for the start of dialogue between the parties to resolve all the problems, but the Iraqi government announced this decision “He said. Murad pointed out that “this decision does not mean that there will be no negotiations during this period, the Kurdistan Region is still demanding the start of dialogue to resolve these outstanding problems.”
The Iraqi government has suspended all public flights to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports from 29 September until further notice, four days after the referendum in the Kurdistan. http://www.rudaw.net/arabic/kurdistan/281220178

Doug_W: we don't know wnhat the rates or spread will be until after
Jeff985: that is good, rate will be same, won't have to call a lot of banks
Doug_W: spread is what a bank charges you to exchage it for example one mayn be at 6% wile another may be 11% etc
Doug_W: there will NOT be any rush to get it exchaged so take ur time and learn
Jeff985: 6% ? the would be the different between price bank offers and amount i get?
Jeff985: no rush? that is good.
Doug_W: yes called the spread
Jeff985: what rate do you think dinar will go at? how about dong?
Doug_W: banks don't offer a price that is set by the CBI they have a "spread" is all
