[MRP] soonerpatriot Is the main issue the breadth and depth of the system, do you think?
soonerpatriot] MRP It could be. While there are software/hardware standards in place, there is still a huge diversity in both software and hardware being used by the various worldwide entities. There are also language issues, and data thru-put/security issues that must be considered.
soonerpatriot] MRP I remember Y2K for WorldCom, a huge communications company at the time. We had mega problems just overcoming the diversity in thru-put in the diffferent countries. Hopefully that has resolved itself over the years, but I can still see that as an issue in outer 3rd world countries.
SnowmanFan] soonerpatriot Sure glad I'm not one of the people having to run all these tests. It would never get done in that case. :) But I'm sure glad they are getting all the glitches worked out. Just wish they could hurry.
[soonerpatriot] SnowmanFan This will be done on an ASAP basis. There are plenty of PTB that are applying heat, and the temperature on the techie level is unbearable. I'm very upbeat on all of this, but like you, it can't get done quickly
