[millionday] - Leaders of the Arab Gulf states welcomed Wednesday Iraq's compliance with UN resolutions related to border signs' maintenance, as well as referral of Kuwaiti prisoners, missing persons and properoties to the UN mission in Iraq.
The leaders also condemned the firing of rockets from the Iraqi territories against Saudi border areas, considering it "unacceptable violation" of the international law and good neighborliness principles.
[millionday] In a final communique of the 34th GCC summit, the leaders welcomed Iraq's compliance with relevant UN resolutions namely resolution 833 of 1993 related to finalizing maintenance of border signs between Kuwait and Iraq.

They also welcomed Iraq's signing of a memorandum of understanding over the organization of maintenance operation, as well as Iraq's agreement with the UN regarding Baghdad's receiving of compensations for Iraqi farmers, in compliance with UN resolution 899 of 1994.

[millionday] The Arab Gulf leaders also welcomed UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution 2197 of 2013 which referred the file of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing, and Kuwaiti properties to the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).
This agreement, they said, was a positive development of relations between Iraq and the State of Kuwait. They said the question of prisoners and missing people as well as return of Kuwaiti properties were issues of "pure humanitarian nature," hoping the Iraqi government would continue cooperation with Kuwait and the international community to address these matters.
[millionday] The Gulf leaders, meanwhile, warned against consequences that would result from the firing of rockets, and urged the Iraqi government to prevent occurance of these acts in future.
The leaders also condemned the bomb attacks in a number of Iraqi cities that killed many innocent people. They also reiterated importance of unity of Iraq and non-interference in its internal affairs.

[millionday] Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh said here Wednesday that Kuwait was keen on supporting all efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting inter-Arab cooperation in various fields, particularly economic issues.
In a speech on behalf of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at the opening of the Arab Investment Forum, Al-Saleh said that the issue of localization of Arab investments and attracting foreign investment from all over the world is not the liability of investment promotion authorities alone but it is the responsibility of all relevant actors.
[millionday] He added that Kuwait, out of its keenness on the importance of localization and attracting of Arab and foreign investments to the countries of the region, has supported many of the initiatives, projects and legislation that flow in the interest of achieving this goal.
He pointed to a number of these initiatives, including the continued growth of the Kuwaiti investments in Arab countries, which enabled it (Kuwait) to occupy first place in the list of the Arab world's largest exporter of inter-Arab investments, in addition to contributing to the establishment and hosting of several economic organizations.

For his part, Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Abdullatif Al-Hamad stressed the importance of the forum to strengthening Arab cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and development, especially in the field of foreign direct investment.
He added the Arab economies have not succeeded in attracting important foreign investment, saying that their share of the total global flows have only increased about five percent during the last 10 years.
[millionday] He noted that all countries in the region were in dire need of foreign investment for attracting and localization of new technologies and integration into the global markets and face the many challenges.
He explained that among these challenges are the provision of 50 million jobs over the next 20 years, facing weakness of natural resources, especially water, as well as oil and gas resources, expecting consumption of the region's countries to increase to 60 percent in the coming years.

[millionday] In turn, Director of the legal department in the Direct Investment Promotion Authority (DIPA) in Kuwait Barjas Al-Hajri said the forum aims to initiate a constructive dialogue between those responsible for the planning and development on the one hand and investment and promotion on the other hand, in order to enhance coordination and cooperation frameworks and improve the attractiveness of the region's countries for investment.
Al-Hajri pointed to the need to provide the objective conditions that "make our region more attractive for investment by promoting transparency in the procedures and the introduction of best practices in planning".

millionday] Finance Committee required the approval of the Federal Audit Court on exchange entitlements oil companies operating in the Kurdistan region, while ruling out the disbursement of funds because most contracts for those companies illegally to the lack of approval by the federal government.
A member of the Committee MP Haitham al-Jubouri told / JD /: Duane demanded financial control to ratify the dues oil companies operating in the Kurdistan region, and in the case of counting validation, will be allocated within the budget in 2014.
Jubouri said: that most of the contracts concluded by the province with those companies without the consent of the government and this is illegal and unconstitutional, adding that Turkey's insistence on Baghdad's approval of the contracts concluded by the province with recently is a sign of being unconstitutional.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Hussain al-Shahristani has said a few days ago: that any process to extract oil or exported could not be made without the approval of the central government in Baghdad and the Ministry of Oil exclusively.
Shahristani said at a joint press conference with Turkish Energy Minister Yildiz Steiner: that Iraq is ready to meet the needs of Turkey for oil and gas in accordance with the mechanisms and criteria adopted for the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company of Iraq.
He explained: that any amount of oil is exported from any area in Iraq should be measured by the Iraqi Oil Ministry and determines the selling price by oil marketing company, and deposited in the revenue account the development of Iraq and distributed according to the federal budget approved each year.
For his part, Yildiz: that Turkey is committed to the unity of Iraq and all Iraqis enjoy their wealth of natural.
