Recaps has had numerous complaints from Newsletter subscribers of missing emails all with GMail accounts. Last week Google added Inbox tabs and category labels to GMail accounts.
Many people did not realize emails were going into these new Category Tab Folders, and are still emailing Recaps about missing GMail emails.
Messages are classified into categories such as Promotions, Social and Updates. You can choose to use categories as inbox tabs, and as labels. These categories make it easy to focus on messages that are important to you and read messages of the same type all at once.
Choose your tabs (Dinar Recaps recommends none (see below how to do this).
Show or hide tabs
If you prefer to see all your messages in one list, simply hide all tabs (see directions above). Primary will stay checked, but you won’t see the tab above your inbox.
