Stevel: That makes two of us my friend. I just ignore all of these articles because not one is accurate. I can assure you that the future of Iraq does not include Maliki. Steve
In Topic: The House resumes sessions tomorrow
BAGHDAD / NINA / The House resumes its sessions on Tuesday, July 5 after the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which lasted more than two weeks.
The rapporteur of the parliament, Niazi Maamar Oglu told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The session on Tuesday will see the biggest bloc in charge of determining nominate its candidate to head the next government, in addition to discussing the recommendations of the committees of the displaced and the general budget."
Stevel: The only reason there is a question is because of Maliki. If you recall, on July 24th, Chalabi confirms the signing of the political blocs on the request of the National Alliance as the biggest bloc. It further states the following:
Chalabi said in a statement to all of Iraq [where], "We have a request from the first session of parliament on Aotaiar National Alliance is the biggest bloc, was signed by all the blocks.
" The head of the House of Representatives, Salim al, has said today that "the Constitution is clear in the interpretation of the largest parliamentary bloc, a combined within the parliament."
Another bit of information I was told, one the new parliament elected their new president and two deputies, one of the deputies appointed was from Maliki's bloc which was a strategic plan to seal any chance of Maliki becoming the next PM for yet another term.
Their is just no way to have a Prime Minister and vice deputy from the same bloc. Perhaps someone may want to confirm this, but I am very certain about this fact.
This is pretty much a done deal and if I were you all, ignore this conflicting news.
