The Call Squad
July 25, 2011
Patriot, Joey, Yukon, Deb in Baghdad, Diana, TN Tim, Sam I Am, Steve?, Scott
Go to www.thecallsquad.com to download The Future of Iraq, the plan, by Dept of State 2002, Unclassified recently. They call it Freedom From Intel. Look for that title.
Tonight some special things are planned for their 60th night airing.
Joey sends kudos to Modo for an article on Taxes and Tariffs. It says,…confirmed that necessary GOI agencies that importers and economists say the time is early. Ministry Of Planning has passed a resolution on July 1st. Some request setting the Tax Law back to the 16th of July. They already decided in May that this was going to happen but they were worried about implementation before Ramadan because that holiday is about generosity. But the need for the proceeds would be benefitting the people and businesses and they need to get the tax in place. Another article says this: Tax Law Is Voted, Approved, Applied Soon. They feared higher prices in the local market. These laws were supposed to be imposed in January 2011, then they were delayed until May, and again until July 1st. Finally, they were pushed back till July 16th but it appears that they will now be imposed and prices on goods will rise. A third article says Iraq Is Again A Member Of The Maritime Status Network for the first time in 19 years, so what does this tell us about sanctions? They will be part of special search and rescue and other missions at sea. This is very good news. Does it seem to demonstrate that the sanctions are going away?
Patriot adds, now we have two nations sharing a port with tariff laws in place, but two very disparate currencies. This bodes well for the RV because ships have got to pull in to supply the Iraqis with imports, especially now since their industry production is still very low for most goods….and yet they have to share costs of operating this port with Kuwait, and there must be equitable similarity in the currency in order to be good partners in both oil production and seaport operations.

Scott adds, there is a related article: Ministry of Commerce Allows Cars in August. They’re negotiating for the reduction of prices of cars from Japan, S. Korea, USA, China, France and Iran. They list the number of cars from each and it sounds like about 23,000 vehicles. Steve ties this in with the Maritime and Tariff articles.
Joey, talks about the Sheik of Kuwait Deputy Foreign Minister receiving 2 letters, one from his counterpart in Iraq, Foreign Minister, Mr. Zebari and one from Hillary Clinton, talking about bi-lateral relations, how to bolster them and issues of common concerns. It doesn’t sound like they’re having problems, especially with as much money as they both are going to be making by their oil and seaport partnership. Perhaps there are still some details to be ironed out.
Diana Reads: Three very short articles: # 1. Iraq plans to reduce Ministries, by 16. Cutting the size of the GOI has been an urgent need. Maliki said this recently on State TV related to the 100 days period that ended on June 7th. Though most assessments were scored average to good, the performance of some were poor and they needed to make several changes, especially from deputy or mid levels of government. Maliki added he expects support from the coalition for this reduction process. Joey mentions that this could very much be part of our search for the Minister of Interior, which may no longer exist and will not be found, because Maliki may be wrapping or merging that seat into the Minister of Security for cooperative effectiveness.
Scott adds: We expect things rapidly in Iraq, remembering back in mid June, as the 30th approached, we kept thinking it was coming anyday for RV. We need to pay attention to the process and be anxious for nothing. The June 7th date reminder is a good example of the process, and that they are very methodically on track working to arrive at the goal.
Joey adds: The 100 days allowed Maliki to focus and highlight to the public on what things they didn’t do; however, they never had an opportunity to explain to the people about the good things that had been developed. It was also clear that too much overlap and competition between a too large beauacracy was discovered. So this minimization or reduction by Maliki is a great way to schmooze the public by showing that he’s listening and following with action.
Diana reads #2. President Talabani met on Monday with US Ambassador James Jeffries and a General of US Military, … about the importance of strength and cooperation that will serve the interest of both nations.
Joey: Amazing how they tell about the meeting but not the purpose or definition or explanation of what interests they refer to. Scott adds he’s waiting on the hook, but again, this shows that the GOI and Parliament are realizing and understanding that they are going to have to cooperate with the world, other world agencies, International trade with corporations, and even their own people. It seems they are coming around with an epiphany of how things must work.
Diana reads #3 from Reuters: Iraq is looking to Raise It’s 2012 Investment Budget to as much as 60 Trillion Dinar, which equals 51 Billion dollars, according to Planning Minister Ali Al-Shugre. This is to inject more money, about 20 Trillion Dinar into ongoing projects and to start new projects. What is being put forth is another 40 Trillion IQD in the original 2012 budget, but they’re trying to get it up to 60Trillion IQD.
Scott & Steve say WoW, if this isn’t tipping the hand of the RV, look how they just increased their next year’s budget by almost the entire amount of dinar and that were actually printed in the first place. This shows how they have completely outgrown their program rate of 1170. How do they go from 27 Trillion printed to 40 Trillion being budgeted… and then trying to add another 20 Trillion? This is showing that they estimate they will need 60 Trillion dinar to achieve their annual goals. There can be no LOP because that will reduce the value of IQD, not grow it. They cannot accomplish their needs without more value in the dinar. Take 23,000 vehicles coming in at Joey’s stated $32,000 average car price on her US car lot. Take that average car price $32,000 each x 1170 = 37.440 Million Dinar each, x 23,000 cars coming in and we’re looking at over 810 Billion Dinar that is needed to absorb that inventory. We have a cash & carry economy and simultaneously have these imports coming in this August? Something does not jibe. Imagine the average Iraqi who hadn’t received a paycheck until last month; because of sanctions, all their pay was going to a DFI fund, and they’ve not yet adopted bank cards, and they’re carrying cash around in pocket change in an amount enough to buy a car? We know that a million dinar is only 40 notes, but as they’ve retracted 82% of the currency in print, now, with the current rate, they need a wheelbarrow to carry 37 million to buy the car. They have to RV for the people to be able to afford these cars and to pay for that inventory that was ordered by the GOI.
Scott: They only had 27 Trillion dinar originally printed, but 82% has been pulled out of circulation, so something has to happen to support the importation of those cars. So how can they buy those cars? They need a new value of the currency. The Kuwaiti dinar is worth over $3 so Kuwaiti people would be able to buy the car for a third of the Iraqi price to currency value. This gets gooder and gooder. Yipppeeee!
Steve: This reminds of Patriot’s point that the costs of those cars have been designed, produced, shipped and sitting in port and they have been ordered by Iraq from those companies in foreign nations. The August arrival time had to have been planned months ago to arrive here now, in August. This timing fits right into the plan we are reading in The Iraq Project.
Steve asks Joey: Last night we discussed the IMF’s August to August Document. It went viral. Can you elaborate? Joey: A decree from the IMF was issued to the CBI , simply stating that if you want to go ahead with your country, then the responsibility is on YOU. This was last August 2010. To lift the 3 zeros and revamp the banking industry, and be able to payoff your debts, the burden is on you, Mr. Shabibi, and we don’t think it should take any more than a year to accomplish this from this time (Aug. 2010). So now, as we approach August 2011, the deadline approaches. The IMF is the auditing service of world’s developing nations. The IMF got CBI to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that this timeframe was the objective.
Patriot: So The Iraq Project is coinciding with all the articles coming out and the observable accomplishments and achievements that make us really excited. It seems to be that they are very near the goal. We don’t think Ramadan is going to detract from the pace and direction of the RV, in fact, Ramadan is kind of a chill out month of introspection, reflection, giving, and reconciliation. It wouldn’t surprise me if they did the RV during Ramadan, while people are already celebrating and spending time together.
Joey agrees and adds: How nice would it be to increase the value of money so things cost less, even with the Taxes and Tariffs, which could anger people that prices are going up. It seems the RV is due to help prevent price hysteria.
Patriot: The UN makes a policy statement on the 28th of this month. We’re not saying the RV is in August but we could see logical reasons it could be. We’re not pumping and have no relationship with any dealers, but it is looking good.
Joey has more news: She reads an article from the website of Mr. Hashemi who was supposed to get a ministry position but everyone knew it would not be possible …. The article is about ministers, and Hashemi said on his website, there is no reason to delay the announcement of the minister of security because the ministers are present, pointing an issue of agreement on the policy board. He even said he knew his own name could never be considered because Maliki doesn’t like him, though the press threw his name around for months. There is so much distraction and deception; Enough already.
Joey has another article about the banks in Iraq, the Turk Participation Bank of Islamic, ICSFS, one of the best banks in the region has signed a new agreement for universal banking in Iraq, presenting both products and services. They’re 25 yrs old; They operate 113 branches, 47 in Istanbul, 66 thru Turkey. It is to ensure that fastest service as requested by customer. They are especially involved in software for Islamic Banks. They aim to be a major bank with worldwide presence, offering retail, commercial, investment services. They will help reach operational effectiveness in Iraq with a reasonable implementation time. Joey points to the liquid assets being used by the GOI to setup. Banks are literally the platform for economic reform. People have to trust the banks. This is a very important business deal.
Steve adds another similar article from today: Mr. Saleh, CBI Advisor, Calls To Hurry Currency Project: The benefit of changing the currency was inflation. He called on the CBI to urgently facilitate transactions for making change and to improve the economy. He notes that the changes will include the removal of zeros, Kurdish language, and the use of coins.
Joey: Doesn’t this sound like the Iraq Project? Joey reminds us that part of the UN and IMF guidelines and frameworks used to outline The Plan has been to assure that the economy was strengthened and that the banking system was ready because you cannot change the currency while in chaos. This is important to Shabibi. He’s telling the GOI get your economy opened, create jobs, make sure the banking is incorruptible, establish your laws and policies… and this is where we’re at right now. Now we see Maliki out in the world selling their country’s opportunity, cultural education of the public is occurring to prepare the citizens, European seminars and trade shows are being exhibited, job fairs are recruiting both in and outside the country, foreign ministers are selling and signing contracts in various sectors; Shabibi is telling the GOI to “bring it on… I’m ready with our banking and financial system, so get the contracts for economic growth and we will make Iraq the jewel of the Middle East….”
Are there any more articles today? Joey says we look for Wow factors everyday, not all are earth shattering but point us in the right direction and connect the dots, as they gradually accomplish the small steps, and how hard they are working to build a country that the citizens deserve. There may not be cannons firing salutes, but they progress every day.
Patriot reminds that the Squad is off the roller coaster, and they try to stay away from the Intel Sources that hype, but rather stay focused on news and the dots that the articles are connecting …one step to another.
On this 60th Night On The Air Benchmark, and reading the emails received by the Squad, Joey has been feeling and sensing that this Squad makes her feel like she’s a part of the Cheers Team. So they cue up the theme song to Cheers. They hope to open up a bit on Q & A as a mod squad and share some of their hearts and the behind the scenes interaction among the squad so the members can relate better.
Patriot: Shares he bought about a year ago when a banker friend told him about it. Started listening to calls and continued to get hyped about the next day’s possibility to RV, and he kept buying more. As he waited for calls to start and was listening to casual conversations he realized there is a whole community of Dinarians, his vision was that the community was woefully underserved for the Post RV preparations. Many folks needed the hand holding and he wanted to help. People needed to understand that the RV wasn’t happening because of BAD things happening, but it wasn’t happening simply because there were not enough GOOD things happening quickly enough. The simple motto was just focus and talk only about things you can prove. Not conspiracy theories or intelligence that cannot be proven thru the hearsay.
The call continues with Patriot wanting to hear feedback of how this call has helped people learn about the Dinar.
Tonight they want to hear the stories and accolades they usually request that people refrain from saying. Tonight is more of a milestone, so the request tonight is the opposite. It is amazing how they are all getting to know each other by voice tone, or by screen-name as they share a common interest in learning about Dinar together.
Though the topic and intention of he Q & A is very positive, the transcription stops here.
