Parliamentary Finance: Some grades will not be released until after the verification of financial abundance
Iraq is saying that some "grades" will not be forthcoming until "after" they have verification of financial abundance.....that sounds like it would be of interest doesn't it...."financial abundance"......what would be considered financial abundance for Iraq....
They are firm in the belief that they will see an abundance of wealth this year....but they are so poor....how can that be....they have a very intelligent government, a highly intelligent leader.....they are no longer a bunch of corrupt thugs that think they can run and operate a country....an interesting choice of words.
Watch as they move forward with this budget, with their reforms....change is coming....oil is coming back.
Parliamentary Energy Council of Ministers has yet to agree on oil and gas law and will be discussed after the National Guard
So the COM continues to make adjustments to the oil and gas law....meanwhile the National Guard law is coming to us very soon....the oil and gas law will be teed up next after the National Guard law.....there are good things beginning to steam roll for them.
Cabinet discusses the reasons for the low exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar
As part of the COM meeting today they will be talking with the CBI regarding the reasons why there has been a restriction put on the exchange rate.....the CBI themselves were looking at this effort by the Finance Committee and considering this effort by Parliament to be suspicious at best.....do they have the muscle to control the CBI in this manner.....this is the debate the CBI will have with the COM today.....who has this control....I'm sure the CBI does not believe the Parliament can do it...but if this is coming from the COM....maybe....just maybe that would be considered in a different light.
Iraqi citizen: Why pay taxes did not get the services
Some citizens are questioning the efforts within the budget to tax certain imports, phones, cars, alcohol, cigarettes....they see this as a pass-through effort that will land on the shoulders of the poor....but what is coming is a national product law that will be designed to protect the people from being taken advantage of by brokers....more important laws.

This makes for interesting news....the US is making a payment, or actually two payments to the Kurds for oil revenues....incredible....the US who has been firmly against the Kurds selling oil...now they find themselves in a position to be paying them oil revenues....a downpayment of $50 million dollars...then a later payment of the same amount....this is being done and Baghdad is not raising a stink about it.....quite interesting.
Finance Committee: one paragraph may hinder the approval of the budget in 2015
It seems there may be a single paragraph within the budget that may cause concern for President Masum to sign.....it concerns 25 billion dinars being allocated for the National Reconciliation conference.....in my opinion....this will not become a serious issue if an issue at all....they can and will find ways to see this conference funded.....don't forget the UN is helping to put this conference on.....and don't forget the 12.....this is all part of a plan IMO.....a plan that is not designed to fail....the money will be there to ensure this conference is a success....we will watch this process together and see the end result.

Parliament looking for Iraq's money missing from previous budgets

Infallible: the need to move away from anything that might stir up sectarian strife
President Masum states on Tuesday the need to stay away from the legacy of the former regime to avoid any sectarian strife and continue to build upon a solid foundation that is meant to save Iraq from current dangers....he met today with leaders of the Liberal block and pointed to the continued unification and harmony within the political arena that has spread to all Iraqis and allows for the continued efforts of national unity.....more fresh air....as both sides are talking the same language for once.

Kurd officials are saying that as of now....we haven't seen any money forthcoming for 2015 in association with salaries of the region staff....just saying.
Barzani: We interact positively with the Government of Abadi and its quest to promote national unity
Kurd President Barzani says that his government is working proactively with the PM Abadi and his government to promote national unity....he says that the Kurds are working also in a big way to help eliminate threats from DAASH terrorists...they are working hard to change the issues generated from the past and see a strong light at the end of the tunnel for both sides.
Dinar rises slightly and some bankers are reluctant to sell the dollar.
The dinar continued a slight rise or bubble on Tuesday and saw some bankers having reluctance to sell the dollar.....this is still being pushed as a temporary bubble driven by speculators at this time....one that will correct itself shortly....
Meanwhile the CBI does not appear concerned at this point in time.....they continue to push the efforts they have for the past week described as their methods for combatting the deficit of the budget and supporting efforts toward economic development and reform.
Well this looks like a good point to take a break and catch one's breath.
