aci918 Not Happy with Wells Fargo I went to Wells Fargo to open my new NIB Checking account. The new account person had a problem and went to her manager (by the way she did ask if it was for the Iraqi Dinars) they couldn't fix it and said they would take care of it the next day and call me. Well I rec'd no call, so I called them.
I was told they talked to the District Manager and they only have 6 overrides a month and they used them up so I have to wait till August to get my account number and set up. If there system is that inadequate how are we to trust them with our large sums of money? *Continued*

I just have a very hard time believing this to be true. I worked in banks in management position and we could always over- ride any mistake in the system. My confidence level is very low at this point in Wells Fargo.
I will be on the Phone with them on the 1st of August. But my money won't stay there very long. a shoebox could give better service. Big isn't always better. Thanks for hearing me out and God Bless everyone.
Ghosthuntress I have my mortgage with WF and I went to a new branch to pay my house payment on the 5th of July. I just asked the teller (who appeared to be new) if they had a private banker at this branch.
She wasn't even sure what I was talking about, but 2 people behind her who were obviously some teller manager types heard me and their ears perked up. They both rushed over immediately to ask me if I'd like to see their private banker right now.
I really didn't want to get into it seeing as we're not supposed to call them. I said I had to run errands and I'd come back another time. I mentioned I wouldn't need her now but that I would as soon as a "big currency exchange" matter took place.
One of them said, "Would you at least like have her card so you can get in touch with her directly, next time?" I said, "Of course," and she left to get her card.
Well, not five seconds later she came back with the private banker in tow. She put out her hand and introduced herself. I thanked her and confessed I held IQD's and when it RV'd I'd be back. She said, "Yes, let's hope it happens soon!" I told her I was happy to know that I could exchange at this branch because it was much closer to my home. She understood what I meant. She said she'd look forward to seeing me soon.
Soooooooo......at this branch, they were more than willing to admit to and discuss the eventuality of the RV. I think the only way to get much of a response is to be there in person.
These folks were falling all over me to get my business. I was dressed in some of my grubbiest clothes, so it's not as though they could smell actual current wealth on me!
I DO NOT ADVOCATE AT ALL GOING TO A BRANCH TO TALK TO A PRIVATE BANKER!!
You may not get the same kind of response, depending on the person you talk to! Just trust that these experiences are real and rest assured its eventuality is very, very real. No one's yanking anyone's chain. It'd serve no purpose to do that!
I know first hand experiences are more reassuring than hearing it second hand, but absent any direct contact, I believe most of what I hear from our fellow IQDers because they are in our same boat and know where we're coming from.
SpecialAgentGibbs Re: whats up with WF Bank? I believe you 100% because it nearly mirrors my own personal experience with WF awhile back. The red carpet treatment for sure...yes folks THEY KNOW!
DonzMike Whats up with WF Bank? This is for anybody who may have the correct info...I called my local WF Bank and they said they ARE NOT SET UP to do any exchange of Dinar and have no "PACKAGES FOR DEPOSIT" and would not even let me speak with a personel banker in order to do my due dilligence unless I opened an account.
I even asked about NIB account for over a million deposit and they had no clue. Now I confused and befudled. Anybody have the right scope on this poop?
Hope I didnt cause anyone any distress. Just trying to be ready. Not a pro at this at all. Just dont like leaving things till the last minute...But thanks for the reply
Butterflydeb my understanding is that we are not suppose to call and ask the banks anything because they will not tell us anything. And by calling them it can cause a delay. but i that is just my understanding i could ber 100% wrong
redsnowbird Reasons to not contact WF Think about this.... if every dinar investor called WF they would have over 1,000,000 calls to process.... And believe me, they wouldn't just call once.... So the lost time in employees time by WF adds up to huge dollars.... And officially, WF cannot say or do anything anyway, and in some cases, the just lie..... They have covered this up for so long.
Jackie48 Re: whats up with WF Bank? I guess when OKIE says don't call the banks some people think it doesn't apply to them..... Oh, so then if your (you are – you’re -- correction) not supposed to call them then it's ok just to go in and bug them. We will have plenty of time to open an account while we are there.
When we opened our account months ago, we went in like any other customer and opened an account. We didn't mention IQD, RV, currency exchange or any to do with the Dinar.
Guys could you give Wells Fargo a break.
Some know nothing about the IQD and others are just not going to give you any info. Some of the same ones will be posting and chatting about the things we are not supposed to say after we get the codes.
